Impel Down 6
One Pace

Thanks for ID6!

FI was redone in late 2013-early 2014, and yes, only 6 episodes were finished at the time. After that you'll have to switch starting from the old New World 05.
EDIT: Forgot to add. In the site's "Watch" tab select Fishman Island and get the torrents/streams, depending on what you want.
Can't get the FI torrent to work. Is it just me or is it dead?
BTW: You guys are great! I've followed your project from day one. (Still somehow managed to miss the rest of FI. Probably because of some website switch messing up my news feed.) Never expected you to become this prolific. I thought maybe you'll manage to condense the most poorly paced episodes before you run out of steam, but now I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up doing the entire anime start to finish! And the quality you keep putting out is impressive too. The only cut I recall disagreeing with in all this time is that half second of Luffy lifting his head after one-hitting that pacifista in Return to SA. Anyway, many thanks and keep up the good work!
-

I tested it, and it seems to be working fine. Is it okay now?
In other news:
Dressrosa 37: http://onepace.net/2017/02/24/dressrosa-37/
-
And still 13 episodes of Dressrosa left, what a colossal undertaking that arc is.
By the way, just mentioning that Ep 37 is incorrectly labeled [762-763] instead of [772-773].
-
@Wilze:
By the way, just mentioning that Ep 37 is incorrectly labeled [762-763] instead of [772-773].
Thanks for pointing that out. It has now been fixed.
For those that already downloaded, you can just rename the file to save your time.

Yes, it's working now. Sorry to have bothered you with nothing.

Since the Wapol cover story was covered in 778, I decided to edit and release it separately. There aren't any edits in the source material, but the Toei opening and the "To Be Continued" have been added.
-
I was confused as to why they decided to animate wapol cover story now (a story I never heard about), turns out Wapol is making a comeback
, Oda just won't let go of some character. I guess i will just add his story before Totto Land.
Also WTF toei, they won't even take a break, just a 5 episodes filler would be nice.
-
They are likely having a filler soon
Nami mentioned an island on a map that never appeared in the manga

@Long:

It seemed that way , but now honestly I can't tell.
-
Episode 780 will be filler.

-
i wish they'd do a long like 6 month filler arc for once.
-
I just noticed that there's some considerable overlap between Fishman Island 06 and Fishman Island 07. I vaguely recall that you guys wanted to redo these episodes back then but didn't get all the way through. Could that be right? That might also be the reason why I didn't have these episodes anymoreโฆ
-
Yep! Fishman Island 6 was the last episode we were able to redo, so that's why that overlap exists.

Yay for filler arcs! Means you guys can pump out some Dressrosa eps for a few weeks at least.
Love what you do and am eagerly awaiting for Dressrosa to be finished so I can binge it :).

Zou 10
http://onepace.net/2017/03/03/zou-10/ That finishes off the One Paced Zou arc. -
Thanks so much for the Paced Zou arc!

Thanks for the zou

Perfect. Thank you!!

Did Toei ever do that? I don't remember I don't think they did, it would be nice to give the anime some room to breath
-
@AMT:

Not even remotely close.
Longest filler was G8 which was only 11 episode/weeks.
A 6 month filler arc would just never happen. Heck even another 11 week one like G8 will probably never happen again either since its been 13 years since that arc and no filler arc has beaten that number yet nor even come close in recent years.
-
@AMT:

Nope, as someone else has said. The best we usually get these days are 4 episode mini arcs.
-
Longest filler was 13 episodes after Alabasta, though it was comprised of three mini-arcs. Watching it at the time I wondered if Luffy was gonna wear his end-of-Alabasta nightgown for the rest of the series.

Zou 10
http://onepace.net/2017/03/03/zou-10/ That finishes off the One Paced Zou arc.So compared to the material you started with how many minutes were trimmed?
-
@Long:
So compared to the material you started with how many minutes were trimmed?
The runtime for One Paced Zou is 184.4 minutes.
The runtime for Toei Zou was 597.91666666666666666666666666667 minutes.
I excluded Episode 775 from the Toei calculation. Openings/recaps/previews are included in Toei's minute calculation.
-
wow, that's alot. let alone how toei paces conversation and panning shots it could be so much shorter.
so those batches? aren't coming in march anymore? just Impel and dressrosa?
-
so those batches? aren't coming in march anymore? just Impel and dressrosa?
Impel Down isn't on the schedule right now. I'll be doing Dressrosa throughout March.
Those Baroque Works batches will come out at a later time. I don't feel like delaying Dressrosa for them.

i don't think you should be counting easily skippable things, as most people don't sit through them every single episode so those are unwatched minutes.

What people tend to skip is purely subjective.
I won't be doing an overall recalculation because the recap length varies from episode to episode. The stat I gave was meant to be on total minutes saved overall in cuts. Skipping through stuff is still wasted time, overall.

So since the anime are going into a filler arc now. Are we going to get more dressarosa ?
Really excited to see the final fights! I haven't watched it in the anime cuz I was waiting on your episodes releases since its way more enjoyable to watch. Thank your for your hard work!

@Op:

Yes, Dressrosa will be the focus until Chapter 824 is finished in the anime.
Dressrosa 38

maaan, this project is awesome, anime does feels more enjoyable without all that shitty pace.
is there a plan B in case Toei comes all 'but muh copyright!!!' and tries to take down the site?? they may get pissed to find out someone is doing something better with their work:ninja:

Well, we've been around for 4 years without any major problems. We'd probably stop hosting the files on our website if anything major came our way.
But it wouldn't stop us from working on it.
-
thanks guys, keep doing your thing!!
-
I just registered here to thank you guys for your hard work and give my insights into what I'd like to see improved, if possible.
The work you're doing making OP a better viewing experience is commendable, and many of the arcs are greatly improved after receiving the One Pace treatment. Thank you!!
However, what I've been noticing more and more lately are what I think detracts the most from One Pace episodes: jarring cuts in the soundtrack. One example of this is the fight scene in the auction house during Ep: 07 of Sabaody. I also thought Punk Hazard suffered from this a lot. I'm currently working my way through Dressrosa, and the first half (25 eps) of the arc were very well made. Just the type of pacing and editing skill I was hoping for in One Pace!
I'm now up at 38, and I've sadly noticed more and more jarring cuts the further in I go. It's getting to the point where an episode has numerous jarring cuts in the space of a few minutes, and it's making me stop and wonder whether it's really better than the originals. I expect some of a trade-off, naturally. Editing a video in the manner you want is bound to have some problems here and there. It's also possible this is simply unavoidable in the current episodes, and it leaves you no choice but to make obvious cuts like that. I understand that might be the case, but I suppose my plea mainly boils down to 'keep it in mind'. Try to minimize cuts in the music as much as you can, because they are often the most jarring.
To end it on a positive note, I think the best work from the One Pace team has got to be Thriller Bark. It's superbly done, I noticed almost no cuts at all, and it didn't detract from the viewing experience one bit. It's a prime example of when the pacing work you do is at its best and I think it easily beats the original. So thank you again, One Pace team, for making our favorite anime even better!

If you've got any examples of jarring cuts in Dressrosa 25+, feel free to send them this way. The editor for the arc switched midway through (to me), since the older editor wanted to edit Impel Down and didn't have time for weekly Post Timeskip releases. I came into the role with small editing experience, and I've definitely been taking musical cuts into account more and more as my edited releases have continued.
Punk Hazard, thoughโฆ yeah. It's a bit messy sometimes. That was edited at the very beginning of the project, so it didn't have nearly as much quality assurance as the project does nowadays.

First off, Galaxy, I want to apologize if it seemed like I came in here just to say you stink; that's certainly not my intention! I'm sure there are an equal amount of, if not more, scenes that were edited together gracefully that I didn't notice, simply because an editor's job can often go unnoticed if done right. I'm also sure that it can only get better in the future, if only because you and the others will become more experienced at what you're tasked with.
I went back and quickly checked through the episodes leading up to my current one, and I can't say I can recall any particular moment that stood out as very bad. I think it was more a case of noticing jarring cuts here and there, and it adding up over time. I'd have to re-watch them in full and jot down the ones that stand out. However, I can tell you the one that spurred my post. It was during Ep 35 of Dressrosa, just as it goes back to Luffy's fight with Bellamy around 18:30. There were 5 strong musical cuts in the 40 seconds after that. There were also a few, although not as jarring, during Bellamy's subsequent flashback to Jaya. Later, between 21:40 and 22:05 there are about 4, I believe. Lastly, there's one obvious jump at 23:00.
Again, I don't know if they're all avoidable if you want to keep the pace of the episode consistent, but they're the ones I noticed. Now that I'm pretty much up to the current releases, I'll make sure to pay closer attention and make better note of what works well and what doesn't, and relay it to you (if you want!). That said, take it with a grain of salt, because I, myself, am definitely not an editor, so I can only offer my viewpoint as the layman audience.
I want to end it on another positive, so I can mention that another issue I noticed on some of the older paced arcs was that the subtitles weren't up to par (mainly due to a lack of commas). I think it was the Sabaody arc in particular. But now, on most of the post-timeskip paced episodes it's been much better! It's definitely something you guys have improved on, and it shows.

No worries. I didn't take anything you said as an insult. Constructive criticism is good!
I looked back at those Bellamy cuts, and in the time I've had to edit since that episode, I can say I probably wouldn't do those edits the same way now. I think for the final Dressrosa batch, I'll be going through the episodes I edited and improving them the best I can. I plan on doing this with the earlier Zou episodes I edited, as well. Moreso when I have time in the summer.
As time has gone on, I've definitely tried to avoid the more jarring cuts the best I can. Some are deemed acceptable after a bit of quality checking though, and some are modified throughout the process to be disguised as best as possible. Unfortunately, there'll always be some that sound "off", but that's the nature of editing the soundtrack at all.
Feel free to relay any jarring cuts you see to me, as the more that is fixed, the better the end product will be.
Regarding the subtitle issue, we used to have a faulty script that exported subtitles from Vegas, but excluded the commas. We had to go in and manually add them to each instance, and as a result, some commas were left out due to the sheer number. The script has now been fixed, so that is no longer an issue.
On another note, here's Dressrosa 39:

how about just removing the music instead of working around it?
audacity has a feature that lets you do this.

That ends up making the voices sound like static, and you can sometimes hear remnants of the OST. It would not be high quality at all.
If One Piece Blu-rays were to use 5.1 audio like a lot of other anime Blu-rays do, we'd be able to separate the vocals much easier. But until that day, we will have to continue editing the music.

HEY GUYS IM NEW in this forum how do i create new thread. I really want to knew opinion of OP fans who arent exactly huge fan of main protagonist of this series
Oda constantt need to messiah fay Luffy. -
Hey Galaxy, I've not seen any of One Pace yet, I just saw it referenced on reddit and wanted to post to say it sounds amazing. There are so many fillers and irrelevant time wasting in these series (One Piece, Naruto, DBZ etc) now that I'm older it makes it harder to watch than when I was a teenager.
So having people like you cut that shit out and make watchable content sounds amazing for me and future generations of people looking to try One Piece for the first time. I'm going to check this out later and then also look around to see if the same exists for Naruto and others.

It does exist for Naruto. Look up Naruto KAI. They remove filler and make episodes to match the length of each manga volume. They also worked in both Japanese and English dubs up until a certain point in the Fourth Great Ninja War due to the English Dub being behind. Last I checked, they did up to Volume 70 out of 72 for the Japanese dub/English subs.

Thanks for 39!
Just finished it, and I thought it was handled quite well. There were a couple noticeable cuts, but most of them didn't distract too much. A few of them had the timing just slightly off, but there were only two I thought were bad enough to be jarring: 24:35 and 31:00. Honestly, considering it's a 40-minute episode, that's a huge improvement. Seeing Zoro's amazing finisher again was quite a treat, too.
Nice work!! We're nearing the last 10 for Dressrosa now; practically on the home stretch. Go, One Pace team!
-
Wow really can't wait for the final stuff in dressarosa. I actually stoped watching the anime as soon as I founded out about one pace so the last episode I saw was episode 724 more then a year ago.
I didn't read the manga and tried by best to avoid spoilers online. I feel like the wait will be so worth it. I used to hate dressarosa when I was watching it week to week with the anime. But I rewatched it in ur version and I love it. My cousin and I would get together every Sunday night order food and watch atleast 3 episodes from ur site. It's way more enjoyable! We been fans of the series since 2009. And we would always get together and watch it and we had lot of issues with the pacing when we caught up which was around episode 400. I swear watching ur episodes really brought the enjoyment we used to have.
When do you expect dressarosa to be done? (I'm not complaing at all or trying to put pressure on you guys)
Thank you so much!
-
Dressrosa still has months to go. When we are able to begin alternating with Tottoland, there will still be 8 episodes to release. That will take 3-4 months on an alternating schedule.
Dressrosa 40:
http://onepace.net/2017/03/26/dressrosa-40/A v2 will come out later with a title fix.
Edit: The post has been updated with the new stream and torrent.
-
Thanks for the episodes, while updating my file I noticed a change in how many chapters used in the last 2 episodes, looks like Dressrosa will be 49 ep
-
Yep. We had to make Dressrosa 39 3 chapters because Toei messed up the order so much. To even things back out, Dressrosa 40 had to be the same.
49 is now the new planned amount.

Awesome job guys, I've been following this project off and on for years, and it's always been really impressive! You guys are doing great work - unfortunately the animation quality itself can't be salvaged by a re-cut like this, but it certainly makes the anime go from unwatchable to quite enjoyable. Manga is still my preferred format for this series (even tho I'm a much bigger anime guy) but at the very least this project has made an actually fun & acceptable version of the show. Thanks so much for all your dedication!
I know the team chooses which arcs they want to focus on indiviually, but (and I think I commented on this years ago) I personally am not that big on the early series cuts. I mean, I'm still downloading/watching them to show my support, but I think those are cases where I prefer the original. It might just be nostalgia to an extent, but the show was also much better paced back then, if not better animated. Obviously there were some weird changes early on, (putting Luffy's flashback in episode 4, Buggy sparing his crew-mate, the Alvida scenario being on a boat rather than her island, etc) but overall I find the changes/pacing negligible enough. I wouldn't presume to dictate what the team should or shouldn't be doing, by no means - this is a fully volunteered project, and I really respect that. I just don't find much value myself in re-paced versions of anything before say Skypiea, or especially Foxy/Water Seven, but that's just me.
All the stuff from Thriller Bark Saga/Whitebeard War Saga/Post-Timeskip is just awesome though, absolutely love it & is 100% the better way to watch the series. You guys are really incredible.
