NFL Season 2012

Out of my 5 leagues I'm in this year, I'm ranked 1st in 3, 4th in another, and 5th in the last. So that's 4 births for me and a consolation bracket as well.

One of those 1st place leagues is my money league, the second is a random league I joined, and the third is our league. Oddly enough the only one I really, really want to win is ours.

I'm up against Urouge this week and I'm actually kind of nervous, as I have a history of doing well in the regular season, only to have my teams blow it come playoffs. I've never won a league in the four years I've been playing. Closest I got was last year when I took 2nd in one league and third in another. Here's to hoping for better fortune this year.

Though, with my luck, the world'll end before I get to win anything.

I have the same problem. I tend to be 1st or 2nd seed more often than not, but always get upset in the playoffs. Then last year I was like 4th or 5th seed and thought I had no chance. I made it to the ship and just barely lost. Can't get that championship formula down. A lot of things come in to play. Who is hot, who is injured, who is resting and not playing, etc.

It has been a while since I won football (in basketball I have won one league with my friends 6 times in a row lol).

I'm pretty nervous myself. If you score 169.26 again, I'm done for! Even if you don't go that high, I expect a close game. You have a good team.

Other than my QB's, my matchups are pretty good this week. Hopefully they're good enough to knock off the favorite!

No joke, it's still a miracle I won considering I benched Decker (20.30) and Smith (13.20) in favor of Wilson (6.60) and Alexander (0.00).

Sorry, buddy, I'll tell you the same thing I tell all my friends back home in Texas, the NFC East is the Redskin's division now. With RG3 as a centerpiece, and a pretty solid offense, they can focus on shoring up the defense and be an all around great team for the first time in a long long time.

Mark my words, within the next five years, they will be in the Superbowl (I say 3 years, I'm counting this season as year 1, and then they're there.)

Seriously, Mike Shanahan is the coach. You have to remember what he did with the last great QB he had, and I'm willing to bet that by the end of his career RG3 is even better. He will lead them to a win this week against Philly. Dallas will lose, and the the Redskins will beat Dallas in Washington.

Then they will beat the Seahawks in the first round of the playoffs, before sadly losing to the Packers in the second round.

Well,the Ravens are right there too. I mean Baltimore is only about an hour from DC if you catch good traffic on 295. Also, the Orioles have been doing pretty good. Though they're more like a roller coaster of emotion.

I'm flying back to my home home (Laurel represent!) to visit my grandparents, and my parents are driving up from Texas as we speak. I'll get in after the game, so it'll be fun seeing the reaction to what happened. Most of my family are Skins fans (though they were originally Colts fans before that whole fiasco) but a small few are Raven fans, so either way some people are gonna be grumpy.

We also have tickets to the Cowboys game. That is going to be so much fun.

My family's been trying to make me a Redskin fan again for years, and I'm afraid this year they might succeed, so I'm taking my autographed picture of LT and I (I met him right after we moved to Texas when he was still playing at TCU--my uncle and he were classmates, no biggie) to make me stay true to my Chargers. The Rams got eleminated today from the playoff race in the NFC, I'm not mad about it. I'm happy that they actually had a good year this year. Yeah, they are a young team, but I have a feeling in the next year or two. The Rams still got a game with the Seahawks next week, if the Rams wins that game they will go undefeated in the NFC West.

Got on the plane before the Skins game was done with, so I was nervous about that the whole time, but I got off to find everyone very happy. I'm glad the Skins and the Ravens won.
…And I guess I'm glad the Bolts won too.

Looking forward to what will undoubtedly be the game of the week next week when the Skins take the Cowgirls down!

So I can't tell if the Seattle defense is just tearing into the 49ers, or if SF is playing poorly in general. I mean, it's early, but Seattle seems to be playing through them.

It sure was. I sure as hell wasn't expecting any FG blocks since they rarely happen. They even managed to turn it into a winning drive.

For god sakes… just when I thought I had the power structure figured out shit always changes. The Giants got destroyed twice, the 49ers are looking awful tonight, and the Texans lost. I don't know whose better than who quite as much as I thought I did.

The Packers are still an exception however.

Looks like I was quickly proven right. They're moving this to the Sunday night game next week. The very last game of the 2012 regular season is going to be an amazing rivalry game, that I'll get to be at.

I can't be much more excited than I am now. I know you can't tell online, but I'm really, really excited.

Lmao it always comes to this with Dallas. I feel another 8-8 season, and a disappointing loss that could have won the division in the final game of the season AGAIN. I just don't understand what they lack. Over rated every year.

I went 0 for 2 in championship games last week. I kept saying I just don't want to lose them both! haha oh well. Already ready for next year.

The playoffs this year are shaping up to be very exciting. No clear cut Super Bowl favorites but plenty of teams who seem to have what it takes.

Man, the playoffs look crazy this year. New England, Denver, Seattle, and Washington (if they win) seem to be the hot teams going in. Probably would want to play Seattle the least right now.

Back home after a crazy game. There's nothing quite like being in a stadium full of crazy fans. Lucky for me I blended right in, as my grandparents pushed hard to persuade me to be a Skins fan by getting me an RG3 jersey for Christmas.

Let me tell you, after that botched field goal, everyone was kind of on edge worrying about whether or not that would hurt them in the end, but things quickly turned around and everyone was pretty upbeat up until the Cowboys got the ball back only down by 3. Then the D did its thing, forced the bad throw, and you all saw that amazing pick, and boy did the place lose its shit. People were freaking out all around me. It only got crazier when Dallas got called for that Roughing the Passer.

IT was crazy, it was fun, and we've got tickets to the Seahawks game! Hopefully that'll be just as good! I'd like to celebrate one more win before I fly back to California (though tomorrow I'll hopefully be celebrating at the news of a certain pair of people having been fired. FIngers crossed…)
