Wow, bitter much? Except for F4, Ian basically ensured his safety challenge wise every single week since F9. If he didn't have HoH, he had PoV, and he ties the record for most HoH wins in a single season. Yes, Dan's social game was superior, his strategy was superior, but to say that Ian didn't deserve to win when he saved himself in key competitions every single week practically is stupid because challenge performance is just as viable a strategy.
Big Brother

Oh god there's actually a thread for this shit we created? Dear lord. -
If Ian was on another season I would be happy with his win, but never, ever, under any circumstances is Ian even remotely close to Dan as a player. Dan should've won simple as. Dan played dirty in s10 but the jury gave him the money. The jury did not vote for Ian…they voted against Dan. This is the same as Boston Rob in Allstars and Danielle Reyes in BB3.
-
I'm more bitter about the 6-0 more than anything(not counting Danielle)
-
If the jury is bitter, then maybe your game wasn't as good as you thought. Just saying.

Season 15 of Big Brother set to start 2 weeks earlier than usual this summer! Wed June 26th
Nice. Have you been watching Big Brother Canada Nate? It has been a great season, and the cast is awesome.
-
Nope, I haven't. Wouldnt remember to keep up with it w/o a TV reminding me lol
-
New Season started today!
It looks to be a great season, with (mostly) fresh faces. There's a whopping 16 in the house and apparently not enough beds to accommodate them. They never did explain what that was about…
I had mixed feelings about the 3 nominations a week thing, especially when Julie said America would have a lot of power to influence the game. But instead of directly nominating a houseguests, we're nominating the nominator (or MVP of the week). The problem with that is; the same person is probably going to win the power every week. It's not too broken of a power because the MVP could easily be voted out regardless.
Also, I hope Rachel's sister goes home first. Just because she's related to someone who was practically handed 500k. One of the guys looks like Howie from seasons past. And the black dude looks like Metta World Peace
-
This BBMVP might just be the most interesting thing to happen to Big Brother, but its no fun if the same person is going to win it every week. CBS obviously did this on purpose so Elissa would be able to last longer in the house, but she's overstayed her welcome.
Luckily, the power isn't that broken and Elissa can't directly save herself in any way. As much as I hate Nick, he should and better have the votes to stay tomorrow. He needs 6 votes to stay and should have them all wrapped up. He'll get 4 votes from his alliance and at least 2 votes from the braindead bimbos(GinaMarie, Kaitlin, Jessie)
-
What the fuck? I cant believe she survived. Do the houseguests really want the same person to be in charge of a nomination every week? This is absurd
-
I'm not really watching this season, but if there is ever a week when Jeremy, Kaitlin, GinaMarie, Aaryn, or Spencer gets the MVP, I'm done with America.
-
Amanda's paranoia is priceless! I'd regain hope for the season if she leaves the house
-
If Donny didn't win America's Favorite Player, I would have left the country for good
-
I have never heard of this show before.

The two-night premiere is now behind us for the 17th season. And first I gotta say that this BBTakeover thing makes it feel like BB is desperately trying to get renewed for another season. Why else would you churn out a new twist every week? Seems ridiculous but at least there's a whole bunch to look forward to every week. Let the bloodbath commence.
The first batch of houseguests are much more likable than the second. Mostly the first four women, who all seem like they could be entertaining. Da'Vonne especially is shaping up to be diary room gold. Getting Britney(Seasons 12&14) vibes for sure. Hopefully nothing happens to her with this twist. Audrey is so mean, I love it. Called James a roly-poly. HAHA. Shelli is someone that is easy to laugh AT not with. Her gawking over Clay in the group's intros was expected but still turned out funny. And Meg has feisty pawn written all over her. I'm predicting she'll get far, either 4th or 5th place. And my first BB crush since that model Cassi in Season 13. That season went to shit when Dick had to leave then got flushed when Cassi got evicted. Then the toilet got hit by a concrete block when Lawon became infamous and became the GOAT in the BB Hall of Shame. The the rubble got melded into ceramic shit when Danielle was evicted…you get the point.
The second group has....Jason who is pretty quick with his quips. I'll give him that much. Maybe it's just because he's so out there with his loud personality, but the rest of his group didn't seem personable. Whereas everyone in the first group, sans Audrey, all come off as friendly and very personable.
I'm betting that the 2 AmazingRacerz will both be nominated, just by separate HoHs. That way one of them gets voted out early. Neither left a great impression on me anyways so sayonara.
The twin twist has been done before...just not during a summer season so it's technically new for me as I never watched Season 9. I think that pair of twins succeeded? Meh, don't know, don't care :)
There was a red herring when Shelli told everyone she had a twin brother so I doubt it's her(even though she could actually have a twin sister). Maybe the Denver girl has a twin...she is pretty boring so far in the little I've seen of her. It'd give her a bit of intrigue to the viewers at least. -
Big Brother, good job with the edit tonight. For a split second I was worried Meg would be sent out. Too bad Da'Vonne was an idiot. She made a good first impression on me. Since then, she and Audrey hit rock-bottom. It was especially entertaining in Audrey's case. I was in disbelief when she was telling off Clay before the veto ceremony. What a trainwreck haha. I've noticed that her eyebrows make her look scary in the diary room.
Austin and Vanessa are HoHs! This is already a refreshing and unpredictable season. The twins are safe this week so they just have to survive 2 more after this one to both play in the game.
They both are bad at everything so this only benefits Austin/Vanessa who both happen to be in power.Austin is easy to root for so far. Got himself immune week 1 but his ally got voted out. But then takes advantage of who the HoH was and the unknown twist to keep another ally out of harm's way, adding ripples among the rest of the house as a bonus. It may not have been ideal to win HoH this week since this gives the rest of the house time to mend, but I'm anxious to see what he does. -
This is the first season I've been actually watching since 14 and I enjoy the crap out of it. There are so many fun personalities, and everything Johnny Mac says is pure gold. I kind of really disliked the whole battle of the block return thing, but it helps that this year's house isn't so dominated by one group and it really feels like anyone can be in power. Plus, watching Audrey squeak through is delightful and I hope she actually gets some power before her inevitable eviction.
Not really liking Steve's edit or lack thereof (he's been completely absent from diary room sessions so far this week), so I hope he leaves an impression before his inevitable ousting as well
-
"This is the Veto Meeting. James and I have been nominated for eviction, but I have the power to veto one of the nominations."
party music breaks out and Johnny Mac is the only one excited
That was hysterical. I didn't like John at first because I thought his voice/personality was faked but he seems to be genuinely loopy almost 24/7. Either that or BB is only including edits of him being strange.
Hopefully Jeff is gone. Never liked him and besides I don't want James to go just yet. He has a better chance to win an HoH and put a scare in the 'SixthSense' alliance. So that huge group that Audrey tried to form at the start of the game is down to James/Jeff, Jason, and Meg. Da'Vonne is voted out, Audrey has been since ostracized, and Shelli/Clay are long gone from them. Oh how far they've fallen At least my fav Meg gets a cruise lol
-
Freaks and Geeks is one of my favorite alliances so far
-
James is giving Johnny Mac a run for his money at being the funniest houseguest. JMac hasn't gotten much screentime since it's the first week he's not on the block, but he still had a great moment pointing out how Clay was acting about being nominated once. Back to James, he proclaimed his love for Vanessa's mom last episode, failed at throwing the BoB(and purposefully dumped paint on Liz several times in the process) and chose Clay for the steak dinner when Meg was right in front of him. Well….he is into older women, so Meg isn't an option haha. The look on her face was priceless though.
This episode was great. Austin jeopardized his game big time, but I'm glad he can have at least one week in the house with Thing 1 and Thing 2. Only because I'm sure Julia is going to rip him to shreds. She's already cranky all the time but learning about how Austin "sold her out" really pissed her off and I can't wait to see her reaction when she comes into a house that still has Austin.
Vanessa feels like she has a lot of blood on her hands, but she is way too paranoid. Everyone in her circle is a bigger target, or at least should seem to be. You have the power couple Shay, the idiotic Hulk, and what will be the twins. Jason is the only person who would go after her and he's about to get evicted. Right now I think she's going far and will have a lot of jury votes to boot.
People I wouldn't mind getting voted out next week:
Austin
Steve
Shelli
Clay
Jackie
Becky -
Man watching Vanessa go from uber favorite to "gtfo youre done"has not been pretty.
John, Becky, Steve and Julia need to go to final 4. Seriously whyis no one going after the Austwins?
-
Double eviction tomorrow. It'll make the episode interesting since Vanessa is as good as finished.
Even if she manages 4 votes (Steve, Julia, Liz and her minion) the other 4 voters(John, James, Meg, Jackie) and Becky's tiebreaker are all wrapped up. There's no way she gets out of this. Still it's amazing how the season's strongest competitor, Shelli, is going to survive 2 consecutive evictions.
I'm loving evil Becky much better than boring Becky. Probably my 4th favorite at the moment. She may have sided with the lesser half of the house but with the HoH victory this week, the odds have evened out pretty nicely. She and James stuck to their guns the past couple cycles and solidified themselves. Though I do like Becky more than Steve, it'd be funny if the latter won the HoH. He hates Becky so much and it would take the house by surprise if he went after her.
Did Meg really just place 2nd in the Veto? wtf is going on? She beat Shelli, Becky, and Vanessa who were all trying pretty damn hard to win. It's the apocalypse. The real Meg has awoken. New queen bee of the BB House.
So Austin is the last houseguest not to be nominated. (Julia hasn't either technically…Liz was nominated and won BoB before switching) He saw his fellow dummy get evicted the first week and somehow hasn't been put up once out of a possible 20-26 nominations(with and without veto) It's been mostly luck, but I guess he deserves some credit as well. After screwing himself, he did save his ass and got Jason evicted. Then laid pretty low after that so that the Puma and Mister Perfection would be targets before him. But I'd rather not give him any credit because he's stuck in his lovestruck world. One of the funniest moments of the season was back when James won his 2nd HoH last cycle. Shelli and Clay were sitting in the Have-not room talking to each other and were worried about who James would put up. Then all of sudden, Austin walks and the gist of what he said was, "Guys, Julia's mad at me. Could you talk to her please. Kthanks. seeya." and walks out. Come on lol. How could be any more oblivious to the situation. Two of your alliance members, or probably you and an alliance member will be nominated. But you're more worried about your crush's twin being mad at you. Nonetheless I did laugh at the time, but in hindsight....ugh Austin you're ridiculous.
Those comics covers were funny. "In case you didn't know... SHE'S FROM NEW YORK!" Yeah Meg does remind us of this every episode. I always thought of Julia being the evil twin since Liz got along with everyone better. The clip of her in the pool just staring blankly in Austin and Liz's direction was priceless. Dr. Drill needs to exist in some grander form. The artist did an amazing job with that one. Austin was not pleased with CBS calling him out for being stinky. But I was. Then there's The Blanket. The fucking Blanket. Beyond hysterical yet still a bit horrifying.
-
I wouldnt count out Vanessa juuuuuust yet.
But yeah that comic comp was so good.
As for Austin he is sitting so pretty it hurts. He is a non challenge threat and has said he just wants to go to Jury with Liz so of course everyone will keep him until SURPRISE HE WANTED TO WIN ALL ALONG
-
I wouldnt count out Vanessa juuuuuust yet.
I'm assuming you check live feeds in some fashion.
Anyways, I'm assuming Becky would've been the replacement nominee if the veto was used. Steve won the HoH like I joked about but didn't put up Becky initially. She really owes John one. I wonder if John would've put himself out there to save her if she was nominated. Well nothing of value was lost. Both AmazingRacerz are finally evicted. And ugh, bringing back jury members is already getting old. That and Battle of the Block need to permanently die.
Why do I have the feeling Shelli is going to show up on one of the soap operas on CBS? That week with her and Clay nominated was basically an audition tape. "Clay, you're my rock in this house." "He's my light." This chick is so dramatic.
Austin is safe yet again! 8 cycles down. No nominations. Including himself, at least half of the people who can participate in the next HoH won't nominate him so we'll probably be seeing more of his smelly beard ponytail. Yay. :getlost:
-
I dunno what the show has shown cause im behind but the Goblins just decided to throw Becky under the train and keep Vanessa since she wont come after them with Becky and John in the house. Steve really should have gotten James though. But somehow hes in like the best position ever cause both sides need his vote.
-
JMac's speech was amazing. James is keeping everyone amused with his pranks. And I love how eliminating Meg from the HoH comp was basically a formality before ending the show. My fav 3 need to make it to the end!
-
Austwins being in power for two weeks in a row is soooo annoyinguhhhhhh
-
Why'd Vanessa have to win the Veto?
Oh well, rooting for John to come back in the game. James and Meg are sitting pretty as fuck at this point as long as Shelli doesn't come back in.
-
Decided to check who won since I knew the comp would be short.
John is back in the game! YESSSSSS
Vanessa won HoH! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the bright side, she can't compete in the Double Eviction HoH. It's a long shot but maybe Steve will end up getting voted out.
-
! Vanessa is targeting James and Meg this week with John as replacement nominee.
! Van also has an F3 with Steve and John that seems fairly legit (at least until the Austwins are in power again god please no) so it looks like either James or Meg is done but Vanessa is notoriously super finicky so we shall see. -
Yeah I figured she wouldn't want Steve out. Darn those 3 days of doing nothing between the veto ceremony and eviction. Mending relationships and whatnot. I guess I'm glad she wants work with John though it'll be at the expense of James or Meg :l
-
I just want someone to take out Liz at the DE. Vanessa getting targeted by James is super dumb because Austin and Liz plus Liz and Julia are the biggest threat in the game right now.
-
That veto comp was great. I'm excited for the Double Eviction. James all the way! Hopefully Steve doesn't win again lol
-
Worst case scenario! Yippee.
As soon as I saw Julia as the replacement I knew Meg had absolutely no shot of staying. Steve is way too much of a pussy to go against what Vanessa wants. Even though this situation in the house isn't great for viewers, the "what if" scenarios aren't that great either. Time for some conjecture lol. That's how boring the game just got.
If Vanessa was voted out instead of Shelli: Shelli would have targeted James with the HoH had she won on the first double eviction. If not, Jackie still gets voted out(Steve's target). Liz won the next HoH which was the emoji tourney. I don't think Vanessa was in Liz's bracket so Liz would have made the final no matter what. That week could've had a few different outcomes if Liz didn't win, but let's assume Austin still wins the racing HoH because of his obvious size advantage(over Shelli, Becky, Jackie if they were still in) More than likely, the Austwins would still have been in the game at that point. Now for the second chance comp: Vanessa won it by far. Since she would be competing against the same people either way, she would have come back in the game and been HoH this past week. If she did get voted out instead of Shelli a few weeks ago, she would have still been on good terms with the Austwins so likely would have all made Final 7 regardless. Then both twins answered a ton of questions right in the last HoH comp so let's assume that they all make Final 6. The question marks are the emoji HoH(decent chance of someone else winning), the race if Austin is somehow evicted the previous week, and this recent double eviction one(slim chance). So What if Vanessa got evicted?" is much ado about nothing since she killed that dual competition regardless. She still would be in the Final 6 able to compete in the next HoH.
Things around her could be a little better(Shelli still in instead of twin) or a little bleaker(James or Becky still in) but I think Vanessa settle for this happy medium that she has right now. Neither of the 4 other people competing in the next HoH would initially nominate her. But for her sake, she needs to hit the other side now or else there's no margin for error.
If Julia gets evicted instead of Meg: Again, Liz got a lot of those HoH questions right, so I doubt Meg would've beaten her. Liz wins HoH either way. Austin is safe for sure. Now the question is, who is Liz pissed at more? I'd say she would listen to Vanessa and nominate James/Meg. Liz/Austin would have tied for the veto since Meg can't win anything. Nominations stay the same, James is evicted.
Despite all the assumptions in there I think the house wouldn't have been that different from what it turned out to be. Vanessa would be in for sure. Steve too. 2 or more of the Austwins and fill in some random(s).
Out of the people left, I'd want John to win since there's no great alternative. His chances are pretty slim but it's not all his fault. I don't look at feeds at all, but I'm sure the past few days he was in Steve's ear about taking out Julia. Unfortunately, Steve is horrified of going against Vanessa again and John voted with him to save face.
Then there's the rest. I guess Austin is #2 for me solely because he has yet to be nominated and I think that's amazing. But he also seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't be bothered about getting 3rd place because he thinks he has a future with Liz. The twins would obviously choose each other if they won the Final HoH and if they all make it that far, there's no way Austin is winning the last part of that competition. His ceiling is 50k; anyone left in the game would win in a Final 2. I think even a bitter jury would vote Vanessa over him.
Liz/Julia are 3 and 4. Their voices are still annoying but there's not much to hate about them. Liz is still cool in my book for single-handedly winning that BoB way back when.
Vanessa on the other hand is very easy to hate. You can't say anything remotely negative about her without her trying to play the victim. And it's maddening how she would have still been in the house if she got evicted instead of Shelli. Ugh.
If Steve wins(which seems a little possible at this point) he will basically be like Andy of 2 seasons ago. Nobody cares of his existence or acknowledges that he won. The only difference is that season was never entertaining.
-
Steve actually wanted to flip the vote but he and John both agreed that getting James alone was smarter for their game and cutting Julia would have not done anything to stop Liz and Austin. Taking out the Austwins requires taking out Liz really.
-
sweet jesus… there are people still watching this crap? lol
-
Thank you for contributing to the thread with your constructive commentary and discussion.
-
my pleasure :P
nah, it's alright… i was just genuinely baffled...
-
I don't know if you're talking about the UK or US format, but they're fundamentally different concepts. The UK version is generally garbage, but the US version is actually good when the cast isn't awful. This season has been more or less really good even though half the final six sucks. In any case, the Austwins are nowhere near as deplorable as the Detonators or 3AM were.
-
My reaction to Vanessa this episode:
That was pretty hilarious how she stirred the pot like that. Then when she gets confronted by the twins, she
! wins them over by crying! What a surprise!!!
The only thing that can save Liz is John being possibly paranoid about Vanessa's standing with Julia in the event Liz gets evicted.
-
For the love of god just go away Austin please.
-
Other than double evictions, we haven't had an HoH decided on a Thursday show since before jury. Fairly tempted to spoil myself by finding out who won HoH. I want to see if Vanessa overplayed her hand :ninja:
I expect footage of James pranking Julia in the jury house. Don't let me down BB.
-
Yeah its weird how theyve been doing the hohs and stuff.
I just dont want Austin anywhere near F3. :( this guy should have been gone like eight evictions ago.
-
! Post-Veto nominees are Steve and Austin.
! Johnny Mac is currently cozying up to Austwins and might flip if he thinks Van will tiebreak in Austin's favor, though Van seems to be trying to get out Austin. I legit don't know where her vote is going, however, since she and Steve have been together for just as long and Steve has never turned on her, even when she didn't use the veto on him.
! I just hope she votes against Austin.
! Also, Johnny Mac is now tied with Amy for the most successful buyback in BBUS history. \o/ -
! Oh my god, Johnny Mac and Vanessa just decided to blindside Austin!!! My Steve-Vanessa-Johnny Mac F3 dream team might actually happen! Get Liz outta there next week and I will be pleased with any winner.
! So long as Vanessa doesn't flip flop >_> -
LOL VANESSA CRIED MORE THAN LIZ!
I'm so fucking surprised.
Well with Austin out, I feel like John's small chance of winning went down significantly. I don't see him getting votes over Liz/Vanessa/Steve. The jury isn't going to be as bitter as Austin wants to believe when it comes Vanessa.
Damnit Steve won…I wanted both John and Liz in the final 3 at least. It's still extremely possible at this point. I want Vanessa's fate to be in someone else's hands. That should be exciting.
-
Yessssss, le's go John and Steve final 2!
-
Then Steve would win :getlost:
-
I wouldn't count out John just yet. He absolutely has Becky's vote, Liz absolutely has Julia and Austin's, and Vanessa absolutely has Shelli's. Steve doesn't really have anyone on lock. Vanessa and John both have stronger cases to win than Steve does, and John's only real drawback to winning if he's not next to Vanessa will be the fact that he was a buyback.
With that said, I think Vanessa is favorable to win, so long as she makes it to the final 2. John is favorable to win if Vanessa is not in F2. Steve has a shot but I think Vanessa and John have stronger cases. Liz has two votes on lock and no others, probably.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
! Vanessa won PoV. Steve nominated Vanessa and John. Everyone knows F4 nominations are meaningless but yeah.
! The thing about Vanessa is she has played a really strong game overall. This is only the second time she has been nominated and the first time she managed to slip out of entirely (and would have won the buyback comp so shed be in the same boat.
! Plus if Van goes to F2 I hope she takes one of the guys and wins because then she goes down in BB history. Though her gameplay is too sloppy and she already has a lot of money. My feelings are so mixed.
