Ehh I'd rather have We Go last a bit longer. If they replace it too early, we won't get preview shots of the next arc in the opening.

Hell, I think we went all through East Blue with one opening. People seem to forget this. Obviously a middle ground is best, since an opening every other weekend also ruins it (end of TB to timeskip). One per full arc would be nice. So no new openings for a while is fine by me.

East Blue was mostly We Are!, but Believe came in around Loguetown. I also prefer around 40 episodes of the same opening. I didn't like how we got 5 new openings in around 100 episodes when it originally took 250 episodes to get through the first five. With the length of this arc most likely surpassing the entire East Blue Saga, the current opening is just fine.
Another okay episode. It's always nice to see the anime expanding on certain things from the manga.
The animation was pretty sloppy during the first half, but it's expected of Toei.

Good episode over all though, I liked how they showed the fight with the Brothers.

This episode was far better than last week. My only issue in general is how the anime will be stretching things out, as I just want to get to the main battle already. Still, Vanderdecken saved the episode and I admit I liked the last 6 or so minutes. Everything in between was just too stretched out for me, which is something I don't usually complain about. Maybe it's because I just want to move on already.

Definitely a more tolerable episode than last week's. Although the bit with the water drop felt just as absurdly pointless as it did in the manga.
The entrance of the princes and the bit with VDD were golden though. Also it was cool to see the fights, although I had the impression in the manga that it was implied the princes beat the NFP before they took more Energy Steroids. Guess I was wrong …

In Naruto it looked like a million soldiers though and the angle was completely wrong. I'd rather they stuck to normal animation…

They insist on putting 'King-Sama' which sound incredibily clunky.
Why not just write 'your Majesty' or 'His Majesty'?
And why are they still using 'Hordy'?

Edit : It did make me chuckle when the Fishman Pirates all dived into battle. Apart from Hyozou, who had a cheeky drink first.

I have to say that Toei has been doing quite a shitty job with the pacing in this arc. I'd rather they do filler arcs again than insert nonsensical crap just to pad scenes. Good god Toei, this arc in the manga was already rushed as it was, stop making it painfully slow in the anime.
I wonder why I got exactly the same out of the prince's attack from the anime and the manga… Couldn't they like... Animate them? Instead we get still shots with some little mediocre moving. I guess I won't be back to the anime any time soon.

That was an ok paced episode I guess, they added so many unnecessary filler to keep dragging this damn arc. And my god, the anime really sucks at drawing the NFP, just look at Dosun!

! I think Luffy's entrance will look as good as Luffy vs the 3 admirals. I am definetely expecting a WB earthquake animation for Law lifting the G5 ship and his fight against Smoker.
In any case, I think the manga will always be better than the anime. They still cannot reproduce the intensity of Oda's art or often understand the epicness of a moment.
@ghosty The marineford arc had record breaking sales but Toei had every issues that sickfool mentioned (oh God the Buggy fillers). I am guessing that animating fights cost a lot more money than panning still shots.

The idea is to use as little money as possible to maxamize your profits. Popularity be damned.
I can't say I am surprised: this was yet another slow-as-molasses episode. :( I guess VDDs monologue was sorta nice; at least the thing he is about to do isn't as random now as it felt in the manga. The NFP teamwork was a nice touch, although the animation was cringeworthy on all counts. Uchimizu made me cry; I just heard Yakety Sax (the Benny Hill theme) inside of my head while that thing was flying and hitting stuff. The way that coral came loose was as if it was attached with a suction cup rather than.. ugh, you know, being hit with explosive power.
Please please let stuff get better. And I never thought I'd say this, but please give us a filler arc involving underwater traveling before they reach the surface. Maybe some fun stuff involving Surume. Or Octopako and Hatchan hitting it off, maybe sorta based on those cover stories but with SH involvement. At this point I don't even care if it is Apis or Ocean Dream bad; just let the next arc get the love it deserves. :(
i like the little added part of the prices fighting the commanders. It was nice to see the prices show off before gettong stomped down
I am torn on this episode. There were a few moments of really bad art/animation,
and I could barely prevent myself from laughing at how badly Jimbei was drawn at the end.
The "Soru" like movement of the NFP didn't look right though.
You could usually tell when CP9/ect were about to use Soru,
this just looked like they teleported.

I don't think there's anything wrong with using honorifics in subtitles after a person's name. That being said, however, I DO have an issue with them using King-sama. Using honorifics for a person's actual name is one thing, but my issue with the latter is that they are using honorifics after a person's translated title. What's the point? As others said, Your Majesty or Your Highness would work just fine. I just don't get it. The same applies to other varients in the FUNi subs such as Mother-sama, Father-sama, etc.
As far as the quirky One Piece character endings such as jamon in the most recent arc… well, that's up for debate, but it's a bit hard to deal with those types of things. Especially what's-his-face with the bogan stuff. But it's not impossible to translate them.

Actually while I like the consistency of the manga, art wise, I feel with the lack of color when the manga has really detailed action scenes I tend to get very lost as to what is happening. I end up preferring the anime, not because it's superior, but because with color and animation I can tell what the hell is going on in a scene.
