Played it last week and I was pleasantly surprised. For one the graphics look fantastic, and the back grounds are really awesome, which set it apart from the last 2 NSMB titles. It was very crisp, clear and fluid, you could tell you were finally playing an HD Mario.
One of the Yoshi's basically functions like the propeller suit, yet I accept them so much more! Hate that stupid old suit. The flying squirrel is really nice! Best new flying power up in a long time!
In single player with the Upad, you can use only buttons. Multiplayer with wiimotes it's still shaking, which isn't so bad but it would be nice to have options. As for my feedback I asked them about the option to use only buttons if one wants. Hopefully they will become a reality and/or the new classic controller will work with it.

I agree. The all-purpose Sonic thread does its job well enough. A Mario one would be similarly appropriate.

As I said in the Wii thread, adding in Wario and Waluigi to replace the generic Toads would really make the game more interesting. They could take advantage of the competitive element that already exists in this game, but add in a bit of cooperative gameplay element by having items and scores benefit the team in general.
Plus it'll be nice to see Waluigi in a real Mario game for once ^_-
