#07960 for me.
Didn't think I'd end up buying it in the end. Curious as to why they didn't put in the effort to add 3D.

I knew the AI was going to be ridiculous in this game but…
Oh my god it fucking CHEATS. I grinded for a good hour to level 5 to hit the recommended level for Orange Town only to be wrecked by Buggy spamming his little super move.
Ordered mine and it should arrive at the start of March, Playasia shipping is not that fast
Heard about this on the One Piece Facebook forum and ran out to go buy one today for my 3DS. Unfortunately I got the last one the store had, the display copy, so I don't have a number on mine. Chances are I won't play it much anyway since rpg's aren't my thing and I barely play games anyway but I had to support an English one piece release.
I might try to find one with the official count number at another gamestop and keep it sealed for collectable purposes.
Reading reviews beforehand I knew what I was getting into, and I can't say I've been surprised so far. Only on the first level and it already is pretty repetitive in many ways (level design, enemies, and the fighting so far). Plus the story bits aren't great, with only a square showing characters' faces and moving them slightly while they talk. The only good thing I can really say is that the animated sequences are nice.
I'm absolutely addicted to this game. I agree it's mediocre and the stages are repetitive but i like it. Already up to Krieg.
It's not as bad I thought it'd be, but I definitely see where the complaints come from. Still….
Right now I'm at the Baratie stage with Luffy and Sanji. I've uh......actually died at every boss, wtf....
Can you dash insted of the slowass walk in the 3DS version?
Yeah, you hold down B to run. Was it stuck on the walking speed in the PSP?
I'd quit so quickly if that was the case.
yes it did… I hated it.
I might get this one to show my support
I got copy #00819 from a MD store. Conflicted on if I want to open it or not, though I have to wonder if the eShop availability will keep the price from skyrocketing like the Wii game.
only 16,800 copies were made this will be worth a lot of money in the future.
Only 16,000?! Man, I better hurry up and pick up a copy.
If all the physical copies sell out within a short timespan, this could increase the chances of larger amounts of physical copies for future OP games.

Open it games are made to be played and it will still be worth a lot if you keep the slip cover.
Man, I'm addicted to this game. My copy was number 16,509. So mine was a part of the final 500 made. It's a good thing mine was preordered, 'cause mine was the last one in the whole store. Hopefully if it all sold out, this will give Namco Bandai initiative to release the complete Unlimited Cruise SP for 3DS. ^^ As for my thoughts on the game thus far…yeah, the stages can get repetitive, but I like the battle system, the little screen shots taken from the show are a nice touch, but above all else...the reanimated cut scenes...I've seen them on YT, but I cannot wait to beat the game so I can unlock a gallery so I can go back and rewatch them at my leisure. W/ the battle system, it's fun trying to hit multiple opponents at once. Sanji is w/o a doubt my default due to his his move set...also 'cause he's my fav character (surprise surprise XP). So far, the only boss I kept dying on was Krieg. But...I had no idea of the "abilities" Luffy had to replenish his health when I ran out of "rice balls" and "yakisoba"...so I felt dumb. I'm currently at Loguetown.
my copy was 12520
Let's see if I'm lucky enogh to get a copy on saturday
So this game is starting to grow on me, I think it was the long, unanimated cutscene intros that killed my entertainment value initially. The combat is pretty much the only saving grace, but I really do like it.
My biggest disappointment is, again, the levels. With an expansive RPG like this, the sense of adventure would've been greater if the levels had more variety and reasons to explore. Heck, adding a little bit of the platform genre would've been great.
Did all the bonus areas just to grind my team to above the recommended level for Arlong Park. Let's see….
So far, the only boss I kept dying on was Krieg.
Ugh, Krieg was a pain. I always tried to manuever myself so I wouldn't be immediately near the arena "wall", so Krieg couldn't use his Battle Spear and rack up even more damage.
Also it took me a while to figure out the Straw Hats all come with a healing "ability". Doy!
Am I the only one that got a non-limited edition physical copy? The box isn't shiny and doesn't have a print number on it either. Not that I care. I just wanted to support One Piece games in the U.S. But I thought that they were only releasing limited edition physical copies.
So mine arrives in about two weeks, let's see if I get the shiny box or not, either way I'll still buy it

You should have gotten the limited edition if not you got scammed. The limited edition is the only edition released in the United states.

That's what I thought too, and why I didn't pay attention and make sure I got a limited edition, because I assumed that was the only choice. Is the "shiny box" with the individual number on it a cardboard sleeve? Or is that part of the plastic main packaging? If so, they may just have not given me the sleeve. Either way, I can still play the game(which I don't even really care about), and I supported One Piece games in the U.S.(what I really want is an Unlimited World RED release), so no worries.

Then that's what I am missing. No sleeve. Which sucks if I wanted to sell the game one day. Maybe I'll stop by the Game Stop and see if they still have it. It was probably lost though and they likely don't have any more new copies. Oh well. Thanks for the clarification.

Iirc, someone else on here also got a game w/o the limited edition sleeve and number, but I believe he/she said it was a "display copy". As far as I know, all the pre-ordered games w/ the LE sleeve were completely wrapped in plastic (including the sleeve).
Either way, I'm still having a ball w/ this game. Already at Enies Lobby. I just hope the sales of this game will allow the opportunity for Unlimited Cruise SP to be fully, and completely released in English in the States.

I can safely say that it's too late for that.
One Piece World Red will make it over though regardless how this game does.

Meh, you never know. I mean, even IF OPW:Red is a "sure thing", maybe OP:UCSP can be a placeholder that can occupy time inbetween releases. If anything, I just really want OP:UCSP since I loved Unlimited Adventure and still play it to this day (just for fun).
In Canada with #13222/16800.
I just managed to beat the game last night, and DAMN LUCCI was a tough nut to crack. I still have to find those bonus maps, but for the life of me I can't figure out how that works.
Fun game overall, but I do wish there was more to do post-game aside from just a few extra maps and bonus bosses.
what makes you think that
Because of how old the game is. If they decided to give us an incomplete version then it was for a reason (I believe EU has them both correct?)

No I'm pretty sure. If I'm correct (and I may be wrong) the completed version was released only for EU. When they usually give EU only releases that means that we aren't going to see it…like ever. They did that with a few titles actually in the past with Naruto Ultimate Ninja 5 being the one that comes to mind.

I thought so too. But someone had linked me to an article that the version of OP:UCSP that was relesed in EU was actually half-complete. It only had Episode 1 of UC and the Marineford campaign, much to my surprise and disappointment. Meaning, if they went around and released a "definitive" version w/ the complete game, we could get it. If anything, I'll keep hope alive and at best, we could get a digital copy at the very least. ^^
The good thing about unlimited cruise SP is that they could release the game when they want because it has no continuity with the series aside of bosses and I REALLY want to play it since I LOVED unlimited adventure and they can release both games in one cart thanks to english being the only language
Each part of unlimited cruise is so long, it doesn't matter if they come out with it on two carts. A single cart would be over 70 hours of gameplay- I don't mind paying for 35 at a time.
I really want RED, though. I'm disappointed that we haven't heard any more on that yet.

Buy a japanese 3DS if you want to play it

I've already bought a Euro AND US 3ds. I can only be so reckless. Plus, I don't know japanese enough to play a game that involves collection and whatnot.
Wow Arlong was stupid difficult. Had no issues with Wapol or Croc and I'm bummed they skipped Skypeia. Also a little sad they left out some Cp9 members and currently Lucci is kicking my ass like no other. Jesus I love this game.
Any chance I'll still be able to find the game at gamestop? =/

Sorry for the double post but this is way too important to simply edit my previous post, my order of the game got canceled on playasia so now I will not get it at least in physical since no store in Mexico got the game and the prices are too big on other sites
Geeze, I need to act fast to pick up a copy of this game.
What I really want though, is for them to bring over Unlimited Cruise SP (in one cart) and Unlimited World Red.
I wonder how Romance Dawn did in sales. It's been 10 days since its release, and I wonder if it's been completely sold out. If not, then that means there's still a chance for some to pick it up. Just hope that the sales are good enough to convince Namco to release UC: SP and UW: Red. I would still prefer UC: SP though. I mean, it's 2 Wii games plus an exclusive campaign all on one cartridge…that's awesome!
Well, it is still in stock, but in low quantities, in several nearby Gamestops for me. I need to act fast though.
easy there Mr. Sarcastic
So… Is this game any good? I'm a big RPG guy, and just about everywhere I've looked this game has gotten REALLY REALLY bad scores... Like in the 30%s...
What do you guys think? Is it worth the cash or should I maybe consider picking up a different game?

The games is ok i would give it a 6/10.
That's a shame… I had very high hopes.
Well, hopefully if they ever make another RPG it's better.
I give the game a solid 8/10. Really, the only thing that would get on my nerves (design-wise) is the maze-like levels that would go on for more than 3 sections, even for the side-islands. Other than that, I found it fun trying to find all the treasure maps and uncovering everything on the maps. The battle system is still fun, even when I have to grind for levels. And special attack animations are definitely a highlight for me. Not only that, the reanimated scenes are still fun to watch. The only other drawback is the game is NOT in 3D…and w/ how some of the special attacks are portrayed...I think this game would have REALLY benefited from the 3D. I'm not much of a gamer, but I feel this game was worth it in terms of gameplay and as a means of supporting OP in the states. I'm barely at Marineford, and I've already spent around 50 hours playing (and this consists of exploring everything, not just running through levels).

Hmmm….sorta worth the price, I guess. Personally I think it should be in the $20 range.
Anyways, I like the game for what it is. The story presentation is very underwhelming and lackluster (save a few awesome HD animated cutscenes), but if you're a big One Piece fan and know the story, that's not a big deal.
Maps are....sorta linear, but not as linear as I thought they would be. Really the charm of the game comes into the battling sequences, where the notion of moving your characters to attack prevents the battles from being small-scale and static, but the movement isn't so large that the battlefield feels huge and the fights would take forever.
I'd say get it if you're not expecting something grand-scale. For a small OP RPG, it gets the job done. Has some charm here and there.
So, I guess it sounds worth it. I need to nab a copy, because I like to have my 3DS games in physical copies. If I just absolutely can't though, I'll turn to the e-Shop.
