      You heard that right folks.
      It's a comic. About salmon.
CRIMSONS: The Red Navigators (or scarlet navigators) of the ocean!

      !

covers Shintaro, a young salmon, and his adventures with his friends. Another key note about CRIMSONS is that it’s under the supervision of Bunya Okuyama, an ichthyology professor (branch of zoology devoted to fish) at the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology.

      It's scanlated by http://projectbitemescans.blogspot.se/

So, the story seem pretty okay so far. And I like how the japanese are trying to make us feel more connected to fish (I mean, I always thought japanese hated fish). I'll definetly read this!

      !

JUST LOOK AT THIS ACTION SCENE!

What are you waiting for!? You can find the manga at batoto, go read!

      Who exactly is Mumbo?

      It's OFFICIAL, UsoppXNami 4ever.

Been following this manga for a while. It is… it's something. I picked it up randomly while on a procrastination binge and it can be pretty funny.
But also mega weird. Expectedly! Thinking of it as a hot-blooded Finding Nemo wouldn't be too far off the mark!
Just don't be too surprised when you see Dory making faces like she's having orgasm every once in awhile.

        Mega. Weird.

I like how the human student keeps using nature metaphors to try to hit on her teacher

          It's fun

I remember when I was younger I was all about "goofy hot blooded adaptations of mundane things", although that was usually sports or activities, not salmon habitats!

This is good though. The author has a nice grip on the humor necessary to really get into the story.

After seeing this thread I went to go take a look at the latest chapter and I run into this page:

            !

I laughed. What makes it funnier is how the artist switched from a cartoony style to a realistic style for the seemingly serious scene of the salmon finally getting to spawn, but then adds the caption, "FISHGASM"….

I read the first chapter of this series a while back. I…I don't really know what to say though. Even in the realm of manga where the ridiculous is commonplace I found this to be really odd. Kinda fun though.

                This manga is great.

! I felt very aroused during certain scenes

It's pretty sad I know plenty of human protagonists in Shounen that just got outdone by a fish.

Seems an interesting read. But latest chapter I see human characters 😕

The human characters are good, actually

I like the idea of keeping the salmon as a focus and using the human scientists (observing the salmon) as analogies to the salmon struggles

I mean that sort of makes it sound more sophisticated than it is, but it adds more to the manga

Cool, 19 chapters. I need something like this right now. I'll check it out–it'll be a nice change from Kimi no Iru Machi (has anyone else read this!? Holy crap, it's so freaking mediocre. I usually like each and every manga I read a lot. The art is wayyy too good for what's going on).

Incidentally, I bought a badass fish wallet just a few days ago to replace my boring 2EDGY&PRACTICAL4U duct-tape wallet. Maybe this is a sign that I need this manga in my life.
