Just remember: Anything cool has to be Haki, and Doflamingo is behind everything.

but in all actuallity, the people that are saying "haki is everything and everywhere and everybody has it and every move used is haki, I hate this blablabla" are the sheep following the herd because there's many more of you than there are people saying everything is haki and personally I think I gave a pretty valid argument as to why Law MIGHT be using haki so not all of the discussions are illogical. It might aswell be that he did not but the point I made was not "Law used haki because I want him to" and "snake shot has to be haki" –> because there is absolutely no proof to back that one up.
Frankly, I don't even care whether or not he used haki and it doesn't interest me in the slightest at this point. But people that go around saying things like "I hate that everybody thinks that everything is haki" do get on my nerves because they really don't have any constructive use within an argument at all and could just as well keep their mouths shut because, even if they wouldn't have said anything, the discussion would've remained the same.

Exactly. Especially people who keeps complaining about "XXX for nakama!1!!" posts. Sometimes they're the ones who sarcastically made that statement first when no one else sincerely makes it in the first place.
Just thought I'd drop this here, awesome fan art for the whole arc I do believe…

Well…look on the positive side: at least the vast majority of people here tend to resist against the Dumb Side of the Force, you known.
I mean:you won't see people here discussing on the main thread why they think that Aokiji will become the next yonkou -which is something far from rare in many other places around the Internet...
I don't really like Haki.
I would have liked it to only be able to be used against people with Logia powers, but now it seems to be able to do everything.
He is the puppet master after all.
He is actually controlling Luffy and doing it for he lolz. Ooh, how is that for an edgy in-your-face theory.

Riiiight. Everybody going "xxx for nakama" are just trolling.

I don't see how it's the same.
Nakama posts are entirely speculative, and only try to predict the future.
Haki posts try to take canon events that have already happened, and twist them into something entirely different.
Also, who cares which side is more "mainstream"?
What you believe should not be decided by how many people believe the same thing, LOL.
EDIT: I knew there was a reason I liked the Cool Brothers.
Haki HAS to be part of the discussion for almost everything. Safer to assume if it's a veteran fighter/pirate/soldier they have and can use haki if they live in the NW. Without haki Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Ability would be already at it's maximum limit. Haki is the quintessential ability/energy/power/ect that is added into many Shonen manga that allows characters to evolve and gain power beyond what was once thought possible. Haki itself is PRESENT in everyone, the odds that badasses in the NW like Law could use it are very very very VERY likely. Law's ability is just odd, if he is the "surgeon of DEATH" why is Smoker's heart still allowing him to live and why have we yet to see him kill anyone? He seems like he is unable to kill people with his abilities ALMOST, I do wish we'd get an explanation for his power like we got for Buggy in ID.
I've got a questions bout the Mangarule Translation? I'm no Japanese scholar, but shouldn't it be "Rock" and "Scotch" not "Lock", even if the official name sounds like "Lock" the how icy environment is a play on "Scotch on the Rocks". Also Luffy seems to refer to people and things he can't remember so "Tora-man" doesn't seem correct, then again it might be the literal translation. Not trying to be an a-hole just wondering :D

This is probably why I dislike it, LOL.

It probably should be Rock and Scotch.
Tora-man is probably correct, because it's a pun on "Torafaruga (Trafalgar)" and "tora (tiger)",
referencing the fact that Law is now a Shichibukai, and Shichibukai have animal themes.
I said this last week and no one gave a fxck. And I'll say it again until someone does. His name isn't 'Rock' it's 'Loch' like a Scottish (Hence 'Scotch') lake.
No one's said anything because it's far more likely to be Rock. "Scotch on the Rocks" is a way better guess at the joke Oda's trying to make than "Scotch + Loch because Lochs are in Scotland".
Thanks for the translation, much clearer now.
Especially the part with CC and the Marines was confusing.
When I read this page, this was the first thing that popped into my head.
That is… BEAUTIFUL. Full of Win etc etc
So far Law is being so cool and friendly. I really want him to be a villain or at least an antagonist to Luffy but it's not shaping up that way. With that in mind, I hope the Emperor he's targeting is Shanks. That would turn this comic upside down.
and i'd like for him to be like WB to Roger
And according to CCC translation, Clown is planning to wipe out the island surface, or something like that?
Seriously, the translation is different in so many places. Mangastream should ask other volunteers for translations, even a noob with 2 years of japanese would do better.
Cnet finally posted his translations of the chapters 663, 664, 665 and 666. :)

I am really excited about how it ended. I like Law very much, let's not mention that he saved Luffy's life, and I hope that the certain Yonko will be Charlotte Linlin, because if it is, it'll be very interesting if they were to fight, since Jinbe and the Sun pirates, are under her control. There are a lot of questions to be answered.
I want to see Luffy's shield again (Gomu Gomu no Tate) It seems really useful now if he were to use gear 3rd and vulcanization. I like how he learned to use Gomu gomu no fuusen more strategically and put it to some real use. I can also see luffy using a strong gale of inhaled air to attack enemies, sort of what he does to gain air before he does Rubber Storm.
Just thought I'd drop this here, awesome fan art for the whole arc I do believe…
Nice. But…the hearts look like man-balls.
Just wanted to thank CCC for the extremely readable One Piece scanlations. Amazing how much more enjoyable they are.
This is my first Post ,
Thank you CCC , your translation is clean and readable , thank you for your hard work.
This chapter was awesome .Hope Luffy wont make alliance with him .
Anyone else hope we will see some Drunken sword style Zoro next chapter?
Luffy won't ally with Law as long as Law is bound to Ceasar and it seems Law did not uncover the "hidden truth on PH" yet.
Anyone else hope we will see some Drunken sword style Zoro next chapter?
That would be simple epicness!
Anyone else hope we will see some Drunken sword style Zoro next chapter?
Frankly, that would be hilarious!
problem is, Zoro doen't really get drunk. Tipsy at most as we've seen at Whiskey Peak and even then he can take out 100 bounty hunters or whatever they were. But I'd like to see drunken sword style aswell.
Thanks CCC and the crew, I appreciate the work. It's nice to have you guys for the people who don't have Alpha. It's even nicer for me since I have both!
I enjoyed the way Luffy punched through the icicles, it reminds me of the Martial Arts competitions where guys and girls use their chi/ki to hammer nails into boards, or lie down on spears with no skin being pierced. That's all Haki is, just something that many martial artists are aware of, only taken to the extreme in comic world. While the rest of the world perceives it as magic.

Now, that would make things incredibly interesting. I'd be quite intrigued to see if that's the case. Luffy weighing the debt of Law saving his life against Law's desire to bring down Shanks? Yes please.

Luffy could agree because he did say he would find a crew strong enough to not lose to Shanks. But I'm guessing he would obviously try and meet Shanks before the fight if he did agree to it(Law's alliance).

Well, one would also presume simply due to Luffy's nature that he'd want to beat Shanks of his own volition, not with the help of Law or anyone else. So that could create friction.

This is true, guess will have to wait and see what happens.
Has anyone suggested that Law might actually be trying to target Blackbeard? I think that would be more interesting then Shanks, because we know Luffy does hate Blackbeard. And Jinbei did warn Luffy to watch out for BB.
It's going to be Big Mom surely, all the confrontation in Fishman Island along with the Tea Party coming up, its all set up perfectly. Knowing Law, he should be smart enough to know he is not ready to take Blackbeard on yet, nor is he going to suggest fighting Shanks when he knows himself Shanks has helped save luffy's life in the war.
Kid+Luffy+Law VS Big Mom?
The amount of awesomeness in this thought is too damn high.
I think the fight would be too much one-sided, but…still awesome.
I believe Law is going after Big Mam/Mom because she is the most vulnerable. Kid is attacting her ships, Jimbei want to break their allience, and she is in a finicial hole. With all that being said it wouldn't make sense to go after any other Yonkou because from what we know they all standing strong in the NW. Law knows Luffy relationship with Shanks, Black Beard seem to strong with now, and we have no reason to believe Kadou is loosing ground. Not to mention Luffy trying to take Big Mam/Mom territory, She is looking for him, tea party, and Law said something on that island can take down a Warlord. Just my Two Cents on it being Big Mom/Mam that Law is planning on taking down.
In less than a day we'll know the answer (hopefully)

We'll probably know Luffy's answer, but I doubt that Law would specify his plan so soon.

Now I don't think that Luffy will ever fight versus Shanks, it would be a shame, because thanks to Shanks he is alive, and ate the Gomu Gomu no mi. And he is trying to be like Shanks in every way. So I hope there wouldn't be a battle but an alliance, and I doubt that Law would ever think of suggesting to take down Shanks, because Luffy will attack him right after. And let's not forget that Usopp's father is with Shanks, and I doubt that Usopp would ever go against his Father, nor Shanks will attack Luffy or vice versa.
This is probably why I dislike it, LOL.

I like haki as it's different than other shonen power-ups somewhat. Naruto had sage mode and element nature, Bleach had Bankai. DBZ had SS, haki has more potential imho. I do wish it would be explained if it was CoC haki that Shanks used when he damaged Whitebeard's ship because at the moment CoC is convenient to get rid of fodder but not great for much else.
As for Torafaruga, maybe but isn't that more like translating Luffy as Ruffy (which is how it's pronounced in Japanese). As for a tiger animal theme, that makes sense but has it been stated he has an animal theme? I know Blackbeard didn't have one.

Really?.. I have always held out the hope that the Straw hats would fight Shanks' crew, because Luffy promised Shanks that he would assemble a crew stronger and greater than the Red haired pirates(is that there name, I forget) and since this is a battle manga the only logical way to prove this would be through a fight.
Why are guys suggesting that Luffy will get pissed if its Shanks, Law is talking about? Luffy doesn't feel like he has to protect Shanks or anyhting, just like he first heard Ace might be in trouble, he said that he wouldn't interfere since he knows they can take care of himself, hence Luffy wont be pissed more like, he will just wish Law good luck and thats that.
We'll probably know Luffy's answer, but I doubt that Law would specify his plan so soon.
He surely won't spill out his entire plan, but at least he'll tell us who's the designed Yonkou.

It doesn't have to have anything to do with the shichibukai=animals theme, although that's an interesting thought. The point is that when Luffy takes only the first two syllables of his name, albeit with the not-good-with-western-names pronunciation, he ends up saying, in Japanese, "tiger-man/guy/dude/whatever." I don't know if I'd go as far as to call it a "joke," but it's important enough to try to preserve, unlike "Ruffy." Of course I thought of just going with "Tiger man" but then the connection with his actual name is lost in English, so I left it as Tora and included an explanatory note.
I'm surprized, thanks!

I figured that this (proving they're stronger than Shanks) would happen after the Blackbeard Pirates beat/kill Shanks and his crew, and then the Straw Hats come over and beat them. In other words, they will do what Shank's crew could not do–stop BB from becoming the Pirate King.
I always thought by surpaising Shanks Luffy dind't meant to fight with him, but obtaining the ultimate pirate trasure, the One Piece, and by "stronger crew" I assumed it was meant as
"we will be cooler than you guys" and not an actuall fight.
But I guess everyone would have their own opinion about Luffy's words. Personally, I hope they don't fight, and also… I'm afraid of what others already mentioned, BB killing Shanks's crew and Luffy having to stop him. I REALLY hope it doesn't come to pass
