He said he was seriously thinking about it, but would need time. He said something about needing 15 hours or so and his students. That was like, 8-9 am this morning.
Thanks for the response!
I'll wait then.

I think he can…disguise people. But he told everyone--the Strawhat's--to put a leaf on top of their head before he did it. Or was that just bad translation, the leaf part?
Isn't that how a Tanuki's power is supposed to work? Or at least it's how I recall seeing it working. Like Mario's Tanuki suit you have to find a leaf, then poof. You have a new outfit.
And I nearly died…Nami's body getting clocked, Tashigi smoking like a Boss. Lol Luffy lamenting over losing his hind legs. So many great things this chapter.
Ick, between the sloppy translation and that tacky logo every few pages, MangaPanda is not off to a good start with One Piece. Thankfully the chapter is so good it overshadows it. Really, a very satisfying chapter otherwise.
I think that it's interesting that Law doesn't really consider healing Luffy back during the War's aftermath anything important or worth holding a debt over. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Law but I am definitely interested in seeing if there is an underlying reason for that or if it really was a whim and is just meant to be unsaid.
In any event this was a pretty good chapter. The body swap jokes were telegraphed from a mile away but if there's anything I've learned about writing comedy sometimes it's preferable to go with the obvious joke. Though the body swaps make me think a bit about how exactly the Straw Hats are going to be able to coerce Law to swap them back.
Also I'm calling it now, "I won't fire any beams even if it kills me"; Nami is going to regret those words.
Personally I would love to see Nami try to activate Franky's light nipples.
What'd Law mean when he told Luffy to go to the back and he'll find whal he was looking for…..Or was he talking to Brownbeard.
Did anyone else notice that the guy's name is Caesar,
and he's on an island populated by creatures from Roman (and Greek) mythology?

I don't understand this line tho. It's not like the beams come out of embarrassing places on Franky's body, like his ass (coup de boo).
She fires air blasts and lightning with her Clima Tact herself…

But lasers are manly, something Nami isn't.
Holy cow Saldeath got big.
It's interesting to see that Law really isn't…."involved" with Luffy, that he doesn't view his support of Luffy during and after the war as something to hold a debt towards. But will he turn his body swap victims back to normal?
Speaking of, it was pretty funny to see the swapped Straw Hats reintroduce themselves to the others (hooray for smoking heart-eyed Nami). Wasn't expecting the samurai to have a DF power, but whatever. And Chopper as Sanji is kinda creeping me out lol
I really want to learn more about this Caesar guy......when you use Vegapunk and bounty hunting to describe their affliations, it's impossible to bat an eye.
Good chapter.

Wasn't he talking about the rest of Luffy's crew?

That was a mistranslation. Smoker just said that Caesar has a sizeable bounty, which goes without saying.
@The:
Maybe CC has a plasma Logia. Plasma is a very liquid-like gas, and it's pretty darn sciencey, which would fit with CC's scientific backing.
Thats actually a kinda good theory, I think I will stick to that.
I've seen several people wonder if Ceaser is realated to are from same land as Magellen "because they have horns". Seriously people, did anyone think that Usopp and Kaku came from same island because they have the same length of nose tip? Besides, Magellen's horns look nothing like Ceaser's. The horns that Ceaser has looks a little bit longer than the guys in the hazmat suits; at the top of head and curled at end from top to under.
Magellen's are more to top of sides and doesn't curl like that but more like a spiral. It is possible that Magellen's 'horns are not real, I can't find th e page but someone once said that Magellen's horns are not real, he was able to take them off for some attack.
This chapter is not the first time that people have asked along the line of if something 'special' is going to happen in chapter 666. People please remember that not everyone is not Christian, and its a Western thought that identifies the number 666 with horned creatures of evil.
I think its unlikely Oda would do something like that just for a number when we never see him do something for Western holidays. It is Goldenweek he celebrates by usually taking that week off, not Easter. He said he was seriously thinking about it, but would need time. He said something about needing 15 hours or so and his students. That was like, 8-9 am this morning.
Tbh the comments are more about that it would be cool/fitting that we had another demon-like figure. Also the stuff about the horns sound familiar, I'll go and look it up later.

Finally someone says it! Caesar as in the Roman Emperor, very fitting indeed.
Oh the samurai's power seems to be a bit…...random.
!
This was needed. So totally needed!
one look at tashigi with a cigar and we know exactly how female Crocodile will look

ROFL WIN!
The one time Tashigi is cool, it's Smoker.
What do you get when you mix "Mass murder weapons" with "Giant Kids"?
A=/ Giant Mass murder Kids:ninja: or maybe mass murder giant Kids? … a new breed of pacifistas... the antipacifistaas are approaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a bad chapter, although it could've been a lot better. I thought what Sanji did with Nami's body was a little too over the top for my taste. However seeing Smoker in Tagashi's body is pretty badass. :)
Really though, like I touched on already, I'm 99.9% sure CC is going to have a plasma Logia. Plasma being a very liquid-like gas (an example being the Sun), and it fits perfectly with CC's science background; plasma is a topic talked about quite often in various sciences. (I mean…people were debating a little while ago if CC had a liquid or gas form). That's where I place my bet.
Should we give any relevance to the fact that Law has a flashback right after Luffy asked about Bepo?
So does anyone else think the new vice warden is Sadi and not Saldeath?
loved the chapter, a lot of info coming in, i won't call it a downside because i love it but i'm a bit taken aback by how fast this arc is progressing. In my opinion law will say he killed smoker, and caesar will try to get rid of the strawhats. The fact he's cooperating with ceasar but let smoker live seems really fishy, hope we figure out what he's trying to get out of it soon, especially since it seems like he's trying to get CC caught.
Finally someone says it! Caesar as in the Roman Emperor, very fitting indeed.
It also looks as if he may be modeled after Pan, the Greek god (called Faunus by the Romans).
I still can't think of what his Logia would be, though. We already have smoke and magma and swamp…
EDIT: I saw the plasma theory, I'll look plasma up to see what that would entail.
All I know is that stars and some atmospheric phenomena are made of plasma.
I've been thinking. What if he's a Slime Mold Zoan?
I've been thinking. What if he's a Slime Mold Zoan?
Zoan's are only humanoid or animal, I thought.
or he ate the ditto ditto fruit. Turn into a ditto and anything you see afterwards. he liked whatever substance he is best, and stayed that way.
Wait, I just remembered that he was drinking from a wineglass earlier.
Wineglass… Greco-Roman theme... Obviously a wine Logia. CANON.
It's a Protist, so more animal than plant. But this is true…
Saldeath went from a midget to basketball player height O_O How does that work exactly?

Kids grow up so fast these days… that or a DF
Lol, Tashigi zipped up Smoker's shirt. Guess she didn't want to show her manly pecs ^.^
Should we give any relevance to the fact that Law has a flashback right after Luffy asked about Bepo?
That's what I thought too. I was all…"uh oh."
Smoker looks a jerk by giving Tashigi a lung cancer.
That's what I thought too. I was all…"uh oh."
Most likely, it's just a flashback after seeing Luffy again, but after the Jinbe storyline showed that one of the best avenues towards creating a shichibukai was through the pirate's crew…
i did, you oven-baked twatwaffle.
it's not so much that she gave him permission, it's the fact that SANJI didn't give a fuck about it and actually asked that annoyed me.
i'd go on, but the resulting conversation would be a fucking waste of time.
Didn't she give him the lighter and cigarettes? That's how I interpreted the first panel of this page. So, she told him he could before he asked. She gives him the cigarettes, and then he asks if it's really okay. And you've also got to remember that smoking doesn't quite have the health stigma in Japan that it does in the Western world.
Caesar Crown… Some kind of fluid ability...
So does anyone else think the new vice warden is Sadi and not Saldeath?
I was wondering the same thing, because it looks like she's more enamored in herself via the mirror rather than Saldeath
Caesar Crown… Some kind of fluid ability...
Oda: A whiskey man.

Yes! Support for the Sake Sake no Mi!
According to Stephen it is Ceaser Clown.
According to Stephen it is Ceaser Clown.
*Caesar,
even if it is "Clown", which I doubt.

Here he remove them. In the next page he use them as weapons.
What happened to Saldeath, did he have a growth spurt?
I didn't think he was a kid, strange.
A very interesting chapter, although it pained me slightly that Oda want's to reuse the "clown scientist" from the Strong world, if the translation is correct.
Is there any explanation given for Smoker being up again? The translation I am reading is pretty bad.
Caeser Clown is a wanted man by the government. Not a bounty hunter himself.
So my assumptions about him secretly working with the government and really high up marines must be wrong now. Now I really don't know where this arc is going.

Plasma is fourth state of matter, not really anything like liquid, more similar to gas. The main difference it's hotter, and is conductive to electricity.
