Buggy VS. Ace – I voted Buggy, but the fangirls all scream for the hot fireman
Whitebeard VS. Ao Kiji -- Neither of these names mean anything to me yet, but I get the impression Whitebeard's fairly disgusting (or is it Blackbeard), while Ao Kiji, being high in the Marine, has the coolness of an entire army of corrupt fools doing his bidding. I'll probably vote Ao, but won't call it.
Nami VS. Mr. 5 – Strawhats tend to have such heavy advantadges; only the very best external characters (possibly Croc) have a chance.
Luffy VS. Franky – The Franky fandom is in full force right now, and I just dislike Luffy's stupidity enough to vote for anyone put against him (with the possible exceptions of the Meowban brothers)
Tashigi VS. Crocodile – Poor Tashigi. She's sweet, but I can't see it.
Igaram VS. Bon Clay – Again, Igaram's a sweet guy, but BC is so distinctly bizarre as to ballet into everyone's heart.
Sanji VS. Jango – I like Jango, but nobody else in the OP world is as suave as Sanji at his best.
Mr. 1 VS. Chopper – see comments about Nami v. Mr 5
Kuro VS. Pell – There's a remarkably deep Kuro fanbase here.
Mihawk VS. Shanks -- I can't possibly call this one. A lot of people love both Mihawk and Shanks. I wish we knew a little more about them. I'll probably vote Mihawk, because I suspect he's a bit more fascinating of a tale than Shanks, who I still can't see as anything other than an above-average pirate who happens to be Luffy's role model.
Smoker VS. Paulie – he's just so neat. Paulie seems to have an interesting personality, but Smoker has personality AND Moku-Moku goodness.
Vivi VS. Tom – I love Tom (like all fishmen, he's magnificent :D), but Vivi will have the name recognition.
Johnny VS. Spandam – Did anyone really like Johnny, or just hate poor sweet Hatchi?
Mohji VS. Arlong – The magnificent fishman lord versus someone who, at the end of the day, got half his votes for his kitty.
Hattori VS. Foxy – Everyone loves Hattori.
Eneru VS. Robin – Strawhats are still on their home turf. And many people won't vote for Eneru because they'll be looking for Enel. :laugh:

I think there's quite a possibility that we burn through so many of the strawhats that you could end up with a complete sleeper in the final four. I can see Tom, Hattori, or Kuro there… it really will depend very heavily on the pairings.

I love Luffy, really I do. I've even got a red Siamese Fighting Fish called Luffy (the other one is blue and is called Arlong). BUT I'm willing to give Franky a go. I think his whole character/personality is so unique and well I guess the right word is 'fresh'. Before the last bit on Water 7 & the Puffing Tom, I would have happily sacrificed Franky to skysharks (had they been around) and probably laughed…something changed though...now I eagerly look for him in the latest translations by Stephen. shrugs shoulders.

Granted I will have to look into the disappointed eyes of my little fish's namesake (and be guilted into giving him more bloodworms) but I'm willing to brave that for Franky.

Well I would agree with you jack, but since this is the main protagonist here it is really hard to guess. I mean itÂ´s all about Luffy because of that in popularity contests sometimes tend to prefer other guys because they like to give them also a little chance to shine because Luffy is like the sun, he always shines (even if you donÂ´t see it). I donÂ´t know how to say it, itÂ´s the "Luffy is the coolest no doubt, but letÂ´s just for one time vote somebody else" attitude that I fear here.

But to be honest IÂ´m not sure of the outcome here because I see Luffy and Franky at the same boat here. For Franky it is like "Yes he is cool but come on heÂ´s facing a Strawhat" attitude.

If Luffy or Franky would be facing Sanji, Zoro or Usopp then I would be sure that neither of the two would make it, but since they are facing each other it is really hard to predict. I think it might be Franky but I wouldnÂ´t be surprised if it will be a total ownage be Luffy if that logic makes any sense to you. :laugh:

For instance I voted for Whitebeard but before that match even started I was sure that Aokiji was going to win. So if Aokiji wins then IÂ´ll get a point for the correct guess though I didnÂ´t vote for him.

ThatÂ´s actually why I didnÂ´t include Solid and Nyssane, since they said who they will vote but not who they think will win. Clear what I mean?

Oh ok, now I understand. Well then there the answer is easy and should not be a dilemma. You should win the one you want to win, just like you always did. If everybody would consider getting everything right then it could lead to change the result of the poll and it would ruin the purpose of the tournament. If I see any tenencies that this happens that IÂ´ll immediately stop this ranking thing. It was just a fun idea, it should affect the outcome of the tournament, since thereÂ´s nothing to win in the end when you have more point then everyone else.
So just vote who you favor, as always or IÂ´ll stop this point list as fast as I started it.
