As far as I know, Oda took a break for compiling data on a famous shipyard (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) in Nagasaki in October 2002 according to the author's comment. He said "it is the preparation for an upcoming series" which probably indicated Water 7.

Oda also took a break for 10 days' vacation in the US in March 2001. The photo of the souvenir from US is printed in ONE PIECE BLUE. He says he was about to conflict with the Washington　Convention

! Relatively recently, he took 4 weeks' breaks for vacation in Hawaii in 2010.

For example Dressarosa remind me Sevilla a lot. I have been there recently: Plaza de toros Arena, Bulls (bull fish in the manga), Flamenco dancers, Restaurant and Tapas :), party all around the streets…

Dressrosa is based on Spain, specifically Andalusia and Catalonia, so yes, Seville does have some influence on Dressrosa. But I don't know if Oda's ever been to Spain.

I don't think Kaido will be revealed so early in this arc…there is already so much happening, it would take away from the awesomeness of Kaido to be revealed so soon

There's a ton of things I'd like to see happen next but since we can't have all at once I'd be content with a flashback. So far every flashback in OP has been a great one hence I'm sure we won't be disappointed either way.

His Vassals not panicking can be simple, he basically just told them that Dressrosa will break away from the World Government, meaning he can still be King even if he told the rest of the world otherwise.

I agree that resignation of DonFlamingo is real because it was confirmed by high ranked marines. And even if he want to retake his title the Navy has learned from Smoker that he is Joker , he is helping a Yonkou e.t.c. Although he seems to have really high connections in World Goverment i don't think they will accept these actions.

Also i find odd that no one in dressrosa seems to worry about his resignation. All country should be talking about it. Maybe DonFLamingo has forbid newspapers. Somewhere in the tournament stated that some people consider dressrosa as a barbarian country…

Just incase ,Oda has already drafted the rest of dressrosa all the way up to the end of One Piece, with sketches , story points ,memos ,designs …he doesn't want to give it to us , he wants us to find it ...he left it all at "that place"

When Oda was young (about 10 years ago), he usually slept only for 2 hours a day. It does not mean that he slept for 2 hours straight. It was an accumulation of 15 minutes' sleep…[1]

Besides, he was on the verge of getting a slipped disc about 6 years ago.[2]

Although he has various kinds of pastime (video game, concert etc), I am worried that Oda is totally exhausted. He said before, "it is the worst betrayal to readers if I can't draw manga any longer losing health." [2] I hope Shueisha will give him a break at least twice a month. And I hope Oda will stop smoking and eating too many doughnuts. He eats about 50 doughnuts every week…[3]

His health isn't deteriorating so no need to worry about that. I do wish he'd quit chain smoking but the addiction is part of the reason One Piece is what it is. Hopefully after the series he can knock it off and just enjoy his remaining days traveling the world, building Legos and throwing the biggest weddings ever known to humankind for his daughters.
