That's great and all, but I'd personally rather have a new 3D Rayman. But any new Rayman game is great news for me. Pretty surprising that this went so quick, though. Here are some screens

I really still need to buy Origins >_>
i still haven't beating the first one and now there's a second one?
I'm all for more 2d rayman, but I'd really wish it had the old school controls; throwable fist, no wall jumping, no jumping on enemies…
I'm with Cyborg009, I haven't even opened my copy of the first game. Looks like I have a new game to play through with my niece.
The first game was great and I'm excited to see another one coming out so soon. Another 3D Rayman would be cool, but the first one defied my expectations by a longshot so I don't mind seeing another 2Der, especially since I have two awesome rage-prone roommates to play it with next year, haha.
Surprised it sold well enough to get a sequel to be honest. But pleasantly surprised.
Land of the Livid Dead 2: Livid Harder?

Supposedly it was profitable even at an early stage due to its relatively low production costs. Add in the fact that Ubisoft apparently built it on an engine designed for creating games on a lower budget with high-end appearances, and this isn't a surprise.
And it's also a wonderful thing. Rayman Origins was one of the most joyful games I've played in the last year and was brimming with wonderful ideas.
The first one was one of the better games last year. And one that everyone seemed to skip over.
Will certainly be supporting this one at full price! Fingers crossed we'll see the 3DS one at the same time
I never played a 3D Rayman game, so seeing as I was a huge fan of the original, I was really excited about and loved Rayman Origins.
I am very glad this is getting a sequel.
The models for rayman in those screenshots look cg. please tell me they aren't using 3D models for this, because I loved the hell out of the artwork for the first game.
Either way, this is a good thing and I am so pleasantly surprised that this is even happening, you don't even know.
My brain when I read this news.
ohgodohgodohgod my lums are moving on their own
Looks great. The models actually look better, but I only watched in 240p.
Although, I can't say I ever wanted to see the Rabbids in Rayman again xP Still cool to see bonus levels forthe Wii U version and the Tablet being used like the Skylanders thing. I want to see the Ezio bonus.
So the Wii U: it's a bigass version of the Vita, but with Skylanders!
Also, a hearty "what the hell?" at the How to Train Your Dragon music.
I love how some of Globox's animations are not yet done in this trailer. XD [0:36]
Wow I'm surprised a sequel is already in the works this soon….or at all........

Well if by sell well you mean 1.32 million copies sold (across all platforms) I guess.
In the uk it was half price by week two, which left me worried as to its prospects.

Didn't see it that cheap prior to christmas but it was just after.
They released it at the same time as all of the other big games. It didn't stand a chance
Hells yes, loved Origins to death. This is a very nice surprise.
It's a shame that it's CG this time but it looks amazing anyway.
Here's a look at Rayman Legends from E3 2012! =]
You know, I still can't tell if it's 2D or 3D. I supposed that's a good thing? Because yeah, the game looks like more of the same goodness that Origins was, with the same visual style, regardless of the number of dimensions.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be 2D with 3D elements.
The E3 demo kicked ass. The Land of the Lived dead rock and roll remix blew me away.
The presenter was goofy and pumped and so was I.
good shit!

couldn't have said it better myself.
Man, this game looks so good, but I really do not want to have to use the Wii U. It feels like an unnecessary extra layer of complexity. Part of the beauty of Origins was that it was so simple and could be just as fully played with one person as it could with all four. Generally when one plays for completion, they do it by themselves since completionism clashes with multiplayer experiences (unless shared with other completionists). Plus, I REALLY hate the Wii U controller.
Otherwise, it looks like a jolly good time for all those involved. Except for that one loser that gets stuck with the Wii U controller.
Bought Rayman Origins the other week and just beat the Land of the Livid Dead.
I gotta say this was a quality platformer but I hope they bump up the difficulty for the next game.
The E3 game play looks rad but the only thing I had against the first game was that Rayman felt a bit clunky at times and didn't do what you wanted him to do. Though this might be because I'm accustomed to the more go for broke golden age platformers opposed to the more slower and methodical modern ones.
What I want to know about the game is…. Do we have to use the Wii U controller? I don't want to be that little flying thing and I doubt my friends I play with will want to either. So, I wonder, if there has to be at least one person that uses the Wii U gamepad.
I played the game using the Wii U controller at E3. Not sure if the game forces you to use it. The first half of the level we were playing definitely required a second player controlling the bug, but maybe it was only that way for demo purposes.
And no, being the bug was not fun outside of the novelty of getting to try out the Wii U touch controller.
Still have to get Origins myself; But I can't wait for this to come out! The demo was incredible.
