A proof Alma Toran flashback almost killed the series, did worse than FT volumes(which is embarrasing).
Magi would never die, it's the best shit out there!
Nice cover, Belial's design is one the most hardcore ones i've seen in a while.
Chapter 270 Korean scans.
Is it weird that I'm liking Sinbad's story more than the main story?
I admit that I dropped the story during the Alma Torran flashback and haven't been following it since then, but I'm still hooked on Sinbad's.

I don't think so. The Sinbad manga is what the Magi manga used to be, interesting. I find it a pain to read through Magi chapters sometime, although I don't think it'll be as bad as Narutos decline in quality.
Here is a double dose of Magi

Big Deathflag on Kougyoku, I kinda chuckled when Hakuryuu was using magic to talk loud, it reminded me that popeye episode where Brutus attempted to challenge Hercules Popeye .
Nanaumi will probably kill Kougyoku in order to hype her.

Kougyoku is safe because of the Zepar Sinbad plot point. As long as he doesn't get involved, she will live.
Koumei is the one who is definitely going to die along with the two household members of Kouen. Maybe Kouha too but I think he will live. I can see Koumei using Dantalion to save his siblings.

You can spot Nanaumi blocking her ears at the background.
A solid job is being done of making the warring seem very intense, a lot of mangaka's fail to do that i think. I'm getting a bit tired of every scene that is meant to be disturbing is just people drooling with white eyes (this case the controlled soldiers)
Has the artwork for fodder always been like this? Many of the faces in the first few pages looked pretty weird.
I feel like Sinbad is getting too cocky. I could see him losing this fight just as easily as I can see him winning.
Thats right, Kouha has a fair chance in dying as well.
Since….It will probably be Hakuryuu and Nanaumi vs Kouha and Kougyoku.
Still expecting Sinbad and his crew to show up at the end of the war.
I really like the vibe given by those zombies fighter. They seem legitimately scary and I do find Haku madness to be threating.
I also like the water princess take on participating in a civil war.
I don't know who is going to die. I'm not sure I care.
Sinbad shouldn't appear at thinned of this war.
Sinbad.
I like how they are building Sinbad ego before they make him fall into the depravity. It's true that he has reason to be brag (even tho they are other dungeon conqueror out there).
I expect Masmur to be the gladiator. Sinbad have the same outfit and appearance than that one panel of their meeting and both had swords in their hands. Maybe he will be the first to kick Sinbad's ass.

Hmm… that's odd... I read that page earlier and I didn't recall seeing that. Oh well, my mistake.
The equip looks sexy enough to post twice anyway.
It's weird… there's a bunch of new chapters out to read yet I can't motivate myself to start catching up. I occasionally skim through a chapter or two but really reading Magi or Sinbad just isn't happening at the moment.
Whew, five chapters to read overall.
A war with those numbers though, "Western Army" and "Eastern Army" reminds me of Sekigahara.
Sinbad's destiny thing is really annoying, hope he gets humbled soon but then it's Masrur that shows up. About time, I'm so hyped.
Chapter 270 They did it. With skills. Like Kingdom.
That chapter seemed extremely short…
Flaming zombies incoming?

Are Riseiryuu and Shuukokuhyou(Fuck those names) Dungeon Capturers as well?
Meh, I don't care. Alibaba is the sole reason why I watch Magi, as rest of characters don't interest me. Not that I even like him that much, it's just that his purpose in this manga is what intrigues me for having awakened magi tier rukh and for beign different from other king vessels.
Are Riseiryuu and Shuukokuhyou(Fuck those names) Dungeon Capturers as well?
No, they are not.
With Judar gone, heading to a dungeon right now would be too resource and time consuming for Hakuryuu's faction. Furthermore, in this same chapter both Seiryuu and Kokuhyou state they have chosen Hakuryuu as their king on their own. That means both generals have become his household and have been recongnised by his djinns and even above that - they have already began the assimilation process. This is reflected in their appearance - both Seiryuu and Kokuhyou grew in size, recovered the lost ear and eye, and adopted the eye and peacock feather motives of Belial and Zagan respectively.
(Fuck those names)
Ri and Shuu are the Japanese readings of Li and Zhou - respectively second and tenth most common surnames in China, well known from history, modern world and fiction (the protagonist of Kingdom manga is a historical general Li Xin, for example).
So you just picked a fight with over 100 million people. Good job.
having awakened magi tier rukh
No such thing has happened.

Can I just call they Ri and Shuu and everybody be happy?
But of course.
Just try not to mistake Ri Seiryuu for either Ri Seishuu or Ri Seisyun and Shuu Kokuhyou for Shuu Kokuton.
The art's getting sloppy again, Ohtaka my dear. And it also looks like one of the Ren's is going to bite the dust in this war.
I liked how Koumei used a smart tactic to entrap the foe's forces without having to resort to killing them. While on the other hand Hakuryuu viewing it as naivety to want to spare your opponents' lives in a war (which in this case it is) made for a nice contrast; simultaneously heralding a turn of the tides all too soon.
As it stands though, right now my attention is focused on Haku's mysterious little helper and his two generals. The rest is rather uninteresting in comparison.
I'm just so uninterested by this whole war. Hakuryuu is the least interesting part of this manga imo, and to have a huge arc like this focusing on him and his stupid decisions does not excite me.
Let's get back to ChibiAlibaba and Judal's bizarre adventures.
I think the naivete part refers more to Koumei playing right into their hands. Haku's strategy probably relies heavily on exhausting their magoi.
Haku's soldiers are just scape goats. He plans to win with his trump and by the time he uses it, he wants to drain all the metal vessels out of magoi. The only question now is whether it's some ability of his or Nanaumi's ninja clan. Well, not saying it can't be anything else.
Btw, why is Nanaumi so hot? :wassat:

You must be kidding about the art. That spread depicting the two generals of Hakuryuu is top notch.

This one looks alright even though it has that certain whacky aspect to it. Given the situation though (and the crazed looks of the horses lol) it's acceptable to a certain degree.
While this, that, or the last one don't live up to my expectations much less the potential Ohtaka possesses (and has shown in the past) in the art department. Certainly, they manage to create an appropriate mood here and there but that alone isn't sufficient for me. Due to the simple fact that I've seen what that woman is actually capable of.
Am I being too hard on Ohtaka here? Possibly. But setting for lower quality isn't my cup of tea.

She is different compared to the other Magi girls.
She is gonna enter Yandere mode once she fights Kougyoku.
Kouha is making it more obvious he is gonna get wrecked by Hakuryuu.

Reminds me of Agiel towards Kunieda in Beelzebub. I could totally see something like that happening.
I'm loving the art. She can do better, of course, but the style just works for me, 100 percent. I have no complaints with the art or the story and Hakuryuu is hitting the perfect spot. Can't wait to see what happens.
It's probably gonna take one more chapter before we see what his trump is. This part with Kouha and Kougyoku is a little boring. I'm a lot more interested in Koumei's household and Nanaumi's father and their assassin clan, or whatever they are.
Chapter 272 Chinese scanlation.
Couldn't help myself, had to take a peek.
! I can put 2 and 2 together regarding the first half, but what the hell is going on with Hakuryuu? Was it only Belial that had vanished or did Zagan go as well? If it was only Belial, why did his prosthetic arm fall off? Is it something Hakuryuu did deliberately or is it the result of something Koumei did or did he get betrayed by his Al Thamen thralls or by Nanaumi?
! Maybe it's better I just wait it out…

! Hakuryuu is running out of magoi, and so are the Al Thamen members he has been using for extra magoi. As a result, Hakuryuu no longer can keep his arm, and soon will lose his legs.
! Nothing to do with Nanaumi, she is just having the time of her life and giving play by play commentary.

! It all happens on the last pages of the chapter, so the exact situation is left for next time. We are shown the star fading out on Belial. And the arm falling off implies the same happening to Zagan. That's it.
! Now Hakuryuu has to beg Nanaumi to plug into her magoi socket to recharge.
Am I the only one who doesn't care at all about what is going on right now currently in this arc? :/

There are dozens of us! Dozens!
But really the only part I'm interested in is Cactuar Knight Alibaba's situation.

! Lucky Hakuryuu.

At first I didn't care much, but the battle is becoming more and more interesting. I don't know, it feels like something really fucked up is going to happen, and I can't wait to find out what.

Latest chapter is out.
Hakuryuu will likely ask Nanaumi to give him some magoi, she is gonna be the turning point of this war.
I guess someone should give Hakuryuu a hand.

New chapter is out, still trying to care. The only fucked up thing that will most likely happen is that haku will lose his good vibes altogether because he will probably end up killing off one of his brothers and maybe even his sister.
But all I care about is Alibaba. ._.
I appreciate Masmur kicking ass(or punching guts) even as a child. It would have pissed me if he lost.
As for Haku I wonder if he'll mange to do something before going down.
