The following notice just appeared in chapter 682's cover:

"Now taking ideas for bonus manga sketches!!
"What if Luffy and friends were ______ ? (zombies, policemen, etc.)"
Send in your ideas!" (Translation by CCC)

The purpose of this thread is to collect ideas in order to select the community's favorite one. There is no death-line in the notice. So, to do it, the thread will collect ideas for some days, (possibly until good ideas stop coming), and then it will open a poll in which users will be able to vote for each one's favorite one. The most voted will be translated into japanese and sent it to Mr Oda by CCC.

If you have an idea to post, I suggest to write a not so long and accurate text. Make sure people will understand what you mean.

Because the ideas should be less proposals and more one/two-word themes, I see no reason not to raise our odds by selecting, say, our three favorite ones.

Keep in mind that themes in the past have included "old lady time" and "mafia time," and with Oda's examples of "zombies or policemen," you can sort of see what he's going for here; a backdrop for an extra little comedy sketch.

Eh I've been on a Sergio Leone binge. A cowboy/western thing would be nice, especially since it seems Oda has had a bit of a penchant for the theme in the past. (With colorspreads/Banaro Island.)

The policeman/zombie themes seem like they'd be pretty funny. A school theme wouldn't be bad either. (Although I vaguely remember some sort of school themed indulgence/offshoot that's already been done.) Sci-fi, superheroes, etc. Somebody should just make a generic, giant list of various cookie cutter themes.

It's omake, and it says "Luffy-tachi," so I imagine that means the whole crew.

In terms of stories he's done Schools, Superheroes (Chopperman/fruits), Sci-Fi was covered with Space.

Shichibukai. Each Straw Hat would have their own theme and specialized outfit & an animal theme (such as Doflamingo being flamingo, Gecko Moria being gecko, etc.)

I think Oda would definitely go for the cowboy one though, so my vote's with that if mine's not applicable.

this sounds great.luffy will promise and demand meat,franky will promise a technological improvement,etc.but instead of grandline,it could be on a small country or city,as that's where most of the omakes are based.
