Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)

So here comes another idea of how we should see the future of the Straw Hats…

And I think I see a sort of patern how many we can expect probably.

Let's put a list togheter..

East Blue
Zoro - 3 Style Swordsman - Master Type
Usopp
Sanji
Nami - Girl - Ranged Attacks

Grand Line: Paradise

Chopper Robin - Women - Ranged Attacks Franky Brook - 1 style Swordsman - Speed Type So if we look at this we see a sort of pattern. The first sea gave us a women and a swordsman. Paradise brought us also a women and a swordsman.
Now we have seen that Kinemon fights with 2 swords, is the possibility to have a Samurai from the Country of Wano who just happens to use 2 swords join a crew of pirates? Where we now of that the Samurai's have no allegiance to someone and hate Pirates it seems? Well I see it possible.

But if we even look further we can maybe even find something else hidden?

It's just something I happend to stumble upon. It is probably just nothing what I saw and maybe we can predict what Oda does. Maybe it's just a coincidence..
Another thing is that the two women of the ship both had some sort of disagreement with the Government. Nami with Nizumi who was just a small part of the WG then we got Robin who was targeted by the World Government so maybe we have the next women who has something much bigger than Robin who joins. If I have to put my money on that? Yeah you probably would hate me for even thinking it but this would be my list for the future what we could see…

Grand Line: New World Jinbe - Physcial
Kinemon - 2 Style Swordsman - Power Style (Physical)
Bonney - Women - Ranged Attacks
Cabin Boy - Ranged Attacks.

And if I have to take the whole conclusion I think the Cabin Boy will be the last member of the crew, will be a young boy who will be the apprentice of Luffy which takes the hat after him and has the fruit of Ace. n.n;

Probably more of a fanfic idea of mine, it just an idea. We dont have any proof and the story will tell what happens, I just wanted to share this with some people and see what they think about it. Just some gibberish or do you think that I have sort of a point in it?

I put this here again.

4 people joining in the New World is a kind of a stretch. We're already past the point of having new main characters. Oda should concentrate on the ones he already has.

The Strawhats will get 2 new members at max, with Jinbe most likely being one of them. Kinemon, as great as he is, doesn't bring too much originality.

Baby 5 has just entered it's jumping the gun a little I say, but actually I don't remember the last time we saw a beautiful girl who someone didn't think would join (perona, camie, Bonney, Marguerite, Hancock, Bon-chan :ninja:, Shirashoshi) and those are just the ones I've been around for

Kinnemon is really looking like a brook rival though

use opposite elements
same height (which usually wouldn't mean much but given how tall they are…)
Protective of there hair (aren't samurai… k maybe I'm wrong)
both indebted to a different strawhat (zoro and sanji) outside of Luffy for saving them from an effect of a shichibukai's devil fruit

And now he has them competing for who gets to beat the dragon, zoro and sanji version 2

Aokiji, Cant see him joining the SH's atleast not anytime soon, But could see him teaming up atleast with the SH when shit is going down at the end of the manga.

I personally think that there's gonna be 2 more nakama, but that both the Straw Hats and (insert random last villain) will have lots of allies who will join them for the last battle…
As for the new nakama, let see... Jinbei, I wouldn't mind. I definitely don't want Law or Kinemon to join. Maybe being allies, but not Straw Hats. Bonney? nah... a rival or an ally, but not a nakama. Monet? NO. Just NO. She'll be a great villain working for Dofla, but nothing else. Same go for Vergo. Bon-Chan? I would LOVE to, but I don't think he will. He'll definitely show up at the final battle to help the Straw Hats, though...

So... Jinbei and a new girl we haven't seen yet for me. A Logia would be interesting since the crew don't have one yet. Yes... Or maybe a Haki specialist who uses a weapon made of sea stone, that would be nice too. A girl cross-dresser (a girl that dresses and act like a guy) would be funny! Sanji would be wondering why he's attracted to the new pretty-boy and would almost go crazy thinking that the newkama might had a biggest influence on him than he thought... until he accidentally discover that the new pretty-boy is actually a girl!

I know that the Supernovas is considered a no-no, but goddamn, Capone Bege!

Just think about it: aside from Bonney, he is widely considered the weakest supernova, so perhaps he could have his crew annihilated and then turn to the sh crew, and join them.

Looking at his traits, i think that he could really fit in. He seems to be a bit older than the rest of the gang (exept Brook, of course), maybe about 40 years or someting.
His body-type is also uniqe. The sh crew doesnt have a chubby guy yet (or well, Jinbe and chopper in kung-fu point) and he seems pretty short, only taller than chopper perhaps? I could se him beeing a bit sarcastic, perhaps even mean, wich would result in funny interactions between him and Robin. Luffy, Chopper and Ussop would admire his powers, Franky could help him load his body with new weapons, and Brook could have adault conversations with him (no, not that kind of adault. we have Sanji for that). And he would actually be knowledgeable about the new world unlike the rest of the crew, wich they all could benefit from.

But then comes the big question: who would operate the cannons and such from inside his body, if his crew were gone?

Perhaps Robin could, with her powers, or maybe Franky fixes him up with automatic cannons and sh#t, but both seems unlikely. And on top of that, his powers would be a bit to simmilar with Frankys.

But disregarding his powers, he could really fit in. But so would a lot of people. i dunno lol.

But otherwise, he could join the Scichibukai, and load his body with pacifistas! That would be glorious!

Either way, i would like to see a female crewmember. Monet, Baby 5, 3-eyes from big mams crew, the list of candidates goes on…..

1. Luffy

Using this logic, we can infer that the next chosen Strawhat will have a name with a different first letter than those currently on the crew. That makes options such as Jinbe and Monet possible, but others like Baby 5 less likely (unless you refer to her as '5', with which it's anybody's guess).

I know I'm pulling this out of my bum, but this is the kind of OCD thing Oda would do, so we'll have to wait and see to find out.

Ok, so here are my candidates of new straw hat crew members:

1. Jinbe
2. Kinemon
3. Monet
4. Momonsuke (as a dragon)((or just a damn dragon))
5.Vivi and Karoo ( hear me out)
6. Aokiji

Ok, so obviously Jinbe is a given. He stated he was joining in the previous arc. Now contrary to what others think, i feel as if he is going to join much sooner than the big mam arc. Im not sure how this "DressRosa" arc is going to flow or what-not, but he was purposely postponed for a certain reason. Jinbe's crew was completely missing from the island, and obviously there is going to be huge implications to how that unfolds. There's also the issue with Big Mam on that, but at that point im sure he'll already have decided. So obviously Jinbe will 1000% join the crew, just he is definitely not the next crew mate.

Next we have Kinemon. I honestly do not mind another swordsman in the crew, plus he's just so quirky enough that it works. Wiper didn't join because of how serious he was, and the fact he wasn't built to b weird anyway. His fighting style is unique but questions me as Zoro is interested in the style, leaving room for progression on him. We'll just have to see how this long stretch of Arcs unfold, as definitely he, and his son will be temporarily on the straw hats boat by the end of this.

Now Monet. I really dont get why people say she gives off the Robin vibe. She isnt really a negative person, she also likes to say playful comments towards people she's affiliated with. Now the most important thing is her power. It already has been sort of stated/confirmed, that she is a shapeshifter or can somehow create objects or things of that sort. She also gave the vibe that if she fail her mission, Dofla will kill her, which totally sets her up for Luffy solving her problems. We need a female like her, but we'll see as this plays out, not just the arc, but the whole DressRosa arc.

Momonosuke only has my attention because of strawhats dire need for a pet. If Momonosuke isnt permanently a Dragon, then i want a real dragon. What better pet than a damn dragon lol.

Vivi and Karoo. The only reason why im bringing them up is because of the fact that the Kings Reverie will happen soon. We all know a tenryuubito arc has to happen, plus an extension of Kongs character, as well as a conflict with the world government. Kobra is getting sick, so Vivi will go in his place. One piece is known for reunions (see Bon clay, buggy, Crocodile, Smoker, etc), and this reunion most definitely has to happen. Knowing that even, Luffy and the others would create all sort of havoc. Some event causes Arabasta to be in conflict with the WG, and she joins the crew again in retaliation:D

Aokiji…not much to say here. We need a damn logia. Maybe it wont be him because him and brooks powers kind of clash now, but we need an awesome logia in the crew, maybe some sort of earth or ground logia??

And People shouldnt argue that Kinemon and Monet both cannot join because they were both introduced in the same arc or whatnot. Robin was introduced, then Chopper came out of nowhere, we all though Vivi was going to join, then Robin joins. Kinemon could "officially" join in the Wano Country arc and Monet after Dofla is raped by Luffy. Jinbe after an arc with his "crew" concluded. I would say a dragon as a pet after this one.

People saying not to many people should join are misunderstanding the fact that now more than ever, there needs to be increase in crew members. The straw hat crew cannot stay a 9 man crew forever, and this is when it should be team building (especially since i still feel as if this manga isnt even half way done) now before things get really hectic. I know im just a crazy fan, but i want more crew members, and I know oda can handle each's screen time. He's doing it masterfully with 9 members plus law, kinemon, monet, CC, Smoker, Tashigi, Vergo, and even outside crews and alliances. A 12 to 14 member crew is not impossible. In any case I more than sure we'll see at least more than 10, disproving luffy's little wish of 10 crew members in the beginning of the manga. He wanted 10 before he got into grand line. He has 8 by the end of "paradise".

So in the end i would love for Kinemon and Monet to join, but i understand the reality of things, because i wanted bon clay to join as well and he's really unique lmao.

Just to state my personal thoughts on the amount of crewmates for this new thread:

The crew will have 11 people (including Luffy), sticking to what he said at the start.

I'm thinking one person will join the crew at the start of the New World and one at the end. Jinbe has a good chance, but Oda would not delay his joining without substantial story reasons, I think something will happen which prevents him from joining (crazy but I think he could die in the fight against Big Mam). The other crewmate will probably be a new character that we haven't met at this stage, though I'd like it to be Bonney.

Lol wow way to quote-bite. I didnt mean it as if they were going to be dead if they're werent more crew members. The Straw Hat crew does feel like a small time crew, but I still cannot see them becoming truly menacing without at least a few more characters. The cover of vol. 64 is one of my favorite covers because it shows the potential on the growth of that crew. Vol. 52 has all 9 of them on the cover, but the addition of Jinbe and them in battle mode on 64 really made them feel menacing. Coupled with a few more unique characters, while the manga is chock full of it as well as the crew, the Straw hat crew at 12ish crew members would look fantastic. Thats all I meant, Honestly if this crew count stayed this way to the end of the manga then I would still love it.

I mean, "astro" can lead to astronomy or astrology. It's a bit much to assume she's an astronomer, especially since that can easily be one book in a pile with a variety of subjects.

Reason is , as the SHs advance in the NW even if a new character joins..will he have time to prove himself?Thats why i say the crew must be completed after the fight with the first yonku.
Just think about it.
Also , as we all know ODA keeps making the series longer than he planned.And this happened…2-3 times already.
The crew may as well end up having 12 than 10 members as Luffy said in the start of the series.

Kingoflighting makes the argument that the astronomy of the One Piece world might wind up important to the end game (what is the one piece, void century, moon stuff, etc.) and that having an astronomer in the crew might be just as important as having an archeologist/historian. In fact, that single clue is probably the strongest argument you can make towards Monet joining.

I like to think Monet is a scientist in general or at least a lover of all sciences as apposed to just an astronomer. That being said, if Monet were to join, she could be the crew's resident scientist as well as look-out, using her knowledge of chemistry and physics to help the crew out.

Well, the Kuja pirates, obviously, then I guess Lola if her mom isn't Big Mom as some think, then we have Perona, the current Sun pirates, the Law Pirates, Dorry and Brogy, Kinemon, MAYBE Kidd, Hawkins and Apoo, AND maybe Rayleigh if he decides to come out of retirement.
