@Robby:
THey abandoned ship and got to lifeboats. There were other navy ships surrounding them, they were just fine. CP9 was in the dead center of blasting and came out okay.
He was just knocked out and got prompt medical attention because Coby and Shanks ended the war while there was still time for lives to be saves.
Magellan was staunchly against killing prisoners, it's what he put down Shiryu for. He wouldn't have hit anyone with lethal force unless it was completely needed as in Luffy's case where he was actively escaping and being a threat. Knock out poison would do.
Weird voodoo powers. We have no idea how they work or what the long term affects might be.
Just falling unconcious led to voices vanishing. Enel's entire game was whittling the army down to like 4 people and he overlooked Luffy the whole time because Luffy was in the snake. Haki senses aren't infallible.
There's lots of ways to lose a crew. Maybe they no longer respect bellamy. Maybe Dofla ordered they seperate. Maybe they stayed on Skypeia. We know nothing about what happened to them except Bellmay changed and isn't with them now.
Like I already said.
"No there haven't. Maybe in the vague "there are armies fighting and giant areas being destroyed so logically there must be SOME losses" sense."
You have to assume they died. Oda didn't specifically kill them. And if there was logic involved, of course they died. But Oda overrides logic.
I bet if you asked Oda specifically about any of those characters, they're fine with the same one line explanations I just gave.
Classic rule of comics, if there's no body, they ain't dead. And even when there is a body, you have to make sure its not a double or a fake or a clone. And even if you confirm that, you can't rule out aliens, alternate dimensions or time travel.
CP9 was nowhere near that shot, only Luffy and Lucci were there and they evaded the shots + Onigumo still killed the guy.
And we have seen how relatively normal characters die from something like that, case in point Akainu shooting the ship in the Ohara flashback.
Nope, that was right in hte beginning of the war, and Akainu literally said die for your family and attacked him. Unless you want to seriously argue that a fodder Marine survived an attack by Akainu for hours and then was saved, which is a ludicrous notion, dude is dead.
He literally underlines how he is the power to kill them based on their behavior, which is completely different than Shiryuu killing prisoners for fun to satisfy his violent tendencies -> dead.
Yep, we see them dying though since they are not moving and have been hit by an Admiral attack basically.
That was why i said iirc. Didn´t remember whether being unconscious was enough for the voice to vanish.
Context. Dude says he went to Sky Island, lost his crew on the way there but his world was upside down. Pretty consistent with Ganfall telling us that the normal route always require casualties for whatever reason.
Implication with no-name characters is enough because they do not matter and do not fall under the "don´t wanna spoil the fun and good ending of an arc, hence i do not kill characters" reason.

@Long:
Ehhh to me their dead unless stated other wose or hinted at, so these nobodies really dont need to be explained to me, like how named characters being saved should be explained. Pell is the worst for that I will contend. All the others mostly have some kind of fakeout or easily explainable out but pell is just the strongest character in one piece.
Big mom's iron balloon body aint got nothing on pell. Also this retroactively makes robin near yonko level. No wonder oda doesnt give her fights. Hmmmm :ninja:
Yep exactly, since named characters with focus are the ones which might impact the audience negatively if they are dead at the end of an arc.
Nobody cares about side characters that you have no relation to beyond shock value upon the behavior of some characters, especially the Absolute Justice faction.
