I wonder if sanji will have a problem with luffy fighting big maam
Sanji's definition of "women" is more selective than you'd think.
-
Is it just me or does anyone think the SAD is related to how doflamingo and Vergo are able to tank hard impacts like nothing like some sort of body fluid, even Sanji commented that Vergos mass was irregular as well as the fact he almost destroyed he's leg.
-
@O:
she doens't seem strong at all… she was less than a joke in front of dofla / Zoro is way too strong for her and she also looks a bit like a variation of mister 1 (the blade dude) / I really don't see it happening
You said it right there: IN FRONT of Doflamingo. Doflamingo, the only other Shichibukai who is (more than likely) at the same level as Mihawk, if not stronger. Mihawk, the 2-year mentor of Zoro and the guy who kicked his ass in basically a single strike.
-

Please not another Energy Steroid.

Please not another Energy Steroid.
Agreed. I understand why Oda chose to use them for Fishman Island, but jesus christ, not in the New World.
-
So if that steampunk dude is Sabo…what if that means that Law and Sabo grew up together and formed a sort of friendship? Could maybe explain why Law saved Luffy....? If Sabo is actually under cover for Dragon he couldn't go to the war to save his brothers without breaking cover...so he sent Law?
DAMN. Now you got me into a legit theory, but I dont like it. Damn you, sir. Damn you.
-
Please not another Energy Steroid.
this arc does have a semi blatant drug motif… (kids flipping out and going through withdrawal over candy) so I wouldn't be surprised if SAD is a drug.
I think Vergo may be a metal man tho.
-
Vergo couldve went through the stuff Kuma did
-
Sanji's definition of "women" is more selective than you'd think.
Yep, Sanji was gonna shoot Nico Robin that one time in Whiskey Peak. Usopp had to ask if he was aware of it.

!
!Very, very selective. Only the real beautiful ones.

I'm thinking Baby 5 is doing the "Ace/Whitebeard" routine with Dolflamingo, attempting to kill him. I'm with this theory.
I wonder if Luffy heard all of what Dolflamingo said and will say something about it next chapter. I'm interested in seeing Luffy's reaction to Dolflamingo's jolly roger (Which he first saw during the Bellamy incident). I'm also taking a guess and saying Buffalo is the large crewmate in Dolflamingo's clique.
His group has me really intrigued. I was always curious what is forces would be like and right now he's armed with a clockwork top-hat gunman, a very creepy eldery couple, a big bearded man, a gluttonous little girl and a weapon-mutating crazed maid. After seeing the diversity in Big Mom's crew, I'm happy to see more unique designs among pre-timeskip characters.
I'm thinking Dressrosa may be next…seeing as Dolflamingo is sending reinforcements (depending on how far out they are), I reckon the island must be close. Then again with the new log-pose system Luffy may just choose to go there (or Wano, etc).
Seeing what happens next is the best part of all I think.
-
After Donflamingo was shown, I guess the Law flashback will come soon. :ninja:
is it creepy that i think i had a dream about this last night :|
-
Sanji's definition of "women" is more selective than you'd think.
He's not overly nice to ugly women but he still refuses to kick them
-
Sanji's definition of "women" is more selective than you'd think.
Sanji can harass a woman by the degree of their beauty, can defend himself from them, but can never attack them. He sits well with other people beating up bad women.
…
I can imagine Sanji now describing Doffy as a bastard for making women (Monet and Baby 5) never feel safe.
Actually,I just know he'll say that~
-
They indeed roasted and ate the dragon, haha. Robin's not that uncouth though, pretty sure it was just Luffy + Zoro. Random note but Oda had a perfect drawing style in chapters 655 and 656. He didn't have quite the same style in Punk Hazard's subsequent chapters. Anytime he draws Doflamingo though his style goes through the roof.
Then that means we have our first Cannibalism shown in One Piece! O_O Oh wait, Big Mam could be the first since I heard speculations of people saying she eats people? Yeah and I notice the drawing style too.
-
When you all are referring to drawing style, do you mean his "character designs" or something broader? I always thought Punk Hazard felt a little weird due to CC's design (looks like something Kishi would draw, but more detailed). Everything else looks pretty Odaish to me.

16 characters of Wapol.
Unless Zeff counts…

I doubt the giant dragon was a person though. Aren't dragons artificial beasts that Vegapunk made to guard Punk Hazard? They were there probably way before the human experiments. The whole Momonosuke = dragon thing is interesting though, but I still doubt the giant dragon was human.

The way the dragon, Luffy, Zoro, & Robin were drawn in chapter 656 seems more detailed than what Oda has been doing lately.
The end of 655 was also like this. In my opinion Oda needs to make his panels a little bigger and more character focused, but that's just a small personal gripe.
The background will of course still play a major part though.Whoops, I didn't even answer your question, haha. Kind of brain-dead right now. Style includes everything you see on that page, from the way the panels are presented, divided up, etc. to how detailed characters & backgrounds are, how unique the "camera" angle is, to speech bubbles, etc.

I also had that thought when I looked at this chapter. It seems like Oda has "rushed" when he drew this chapter. I don't wanna b*tch here, I love Oda's style, but to me it seems he might need that upcoming break.
Another topic:
Do you think that the cover story could get interesting too for the current arc? After all Caribou said that "if you know who finds out bout Poseidon, he might be pleased". Could it be that Caribou meant Joker/Doffy? It might save his ass from G-5 if he is allied with him. -
I love the theme of SAD being the biggest threat to Joker's 'Age of Smiles'
-
Vergo (when first met Law on PH) said he was on Dresrosa and that there was a SAD-tanker, so it could be they trade with it and/or deliver it or they use it for themselves. I also understood it in that way that they should kill CC if he had been kidnapped successfully.
To my Caribou point:
if Vergo is the only one in G-5 who knows that the G-5 works for Joker indirectly, it'd be pretty useless for Caribou to tell that commodore that he knows Joker. Another way to his freedom would be information about Poseidon in exchange for his life.
In the end I highly doubt that Caribou finds his death by G-5 for obvious reasons. -
I wonder what a tanker ship would look like in OP universe…
-
And for all the people who think Baby5 is a cyborg, just take a look at "Sabo 2.0": he looks WAY more like a cyborg than her (with all those gearwheels and other "mechanical" parts). And the little girl's "make-up" resembles Dofla's Jolly Roger very well. First I also thought it looks like an eye-patch, but it also resmbles Doffy's symbol.

For sure it looks very "futuristic" for OP-standards. Every time I think of it, I have Croc's rain ship in mind. IDK why.
Also, Franky is currently the only one "missing". I wonder if he'll encounter Baby5 and Buffalo first if he works on the Sunny outside. Franky for sure fights Baby5, and if not he'll fight "Sabo 2.0".
IMO Buffalo is the fat beardo. Other ones here posted the same guesses I have in mind if it comes to fight pairings, so I won't post 'em again. -

I agree, it´s a good choice of words :D
What I want to know is whether Chopper is controlling his beast-mode or if he is enraged because of the way Caesar is conditioning the kids and he is out of control.
Also, Doflamingo is really bad-ass, almost all the villains in One Piece have a feature that makes them seem not so scary, like Vergo having stuff attached to his cheek, but Doflamingo doesn´t seem to be like the others. Only Crocodile was like this, and he was a great villain.

Wearing a pink fluffy costume makes him less scary in my eyes ;)

It was already confirmed at FI that he can control his monster point.
He really wants to cure those kids from addiction and he'd never harm them with a monster form he cannot control. The giant kids just are so strong that he had no other choice but to use his monster form so he himself doesn't get injured heavily. What I don't get from the trans at mangapanda:
When Brook asked Kinemon why he hated that dragon so much as if the dragon killed his parents, Kinemon answered:"a parent's revenge, nothing less…".
Does that mean he is so raged because his son got kidnapped or does he imply that his parents got killed by a dragon?Maybe all Wano Samurais have a grudge against dragons. Didn't Ryuuma also killed a dragon during his prime-life-time? In 'Monsters' he did so IIRC.
-
Wow, Baby5 is a DF user just like Hina. Hina grows cuffs outta her body, Baby5 does the same with weapons. Makes Mr.1's DF pretty useless.
Guess the "one guy could be Sabo"-theory will go through the roof now.
"Doffy's" crew is pretty badass. Lookin forward to kewl fights and interactions.
Brook's joke was hilarious this time: the dragon was disappointed when he wanted to eat Brook. Priceless. The fruits are similar in nature but in no way does it make Mr1's fruit useless man. He uses the blade fruit, making his whole body blades, she spawns weapons which perhaps are of a fixed size.

damn dofla is a fcking BEAST

ONE PIECE 682 RAW HQ
Thanks Redon!
After reading the raw, I got a feeling that there's only one small dragon.
Also, Aohige or CCC (or maybe the others), does 「親の仇」 mean the retaliation of a parent who lost his child or of the child who lost his parent?
-
It means the villain who took your parent(s) life.
The typical THOU HAS SLAIN ME FATHER NOW YE SHALL DIE blah blah blah.
-

Meaning that Kinemon has lost his parents (assumption) to a dragon and that is why he hates them?

Thank you. And it was fast too.
Hmm, does it mean a real dragon or even dragons still exist in Wano? Or Momo just ate a dragon DF and (accidentally) killed his grandparents (or at least some of his people) then ran away?
And Chopper seems to become feral, S.A.D effect? Does S.A.D work like a rumble ball, increasing the potential of zoan DF?
So many questions and a week break, lol.

Ok, so Sanji had one bone in his leg cracked by Vergo; and, I very hope so, he should be Dofla opponent (if they meet late enough in the manga because now is really too soon for him), because it would be the best development to have Sanji fight Dofla's DF power with his will… Soooooo, my theory is that Dofla may cut Sanji's leg in this fight, and "Black Leg" Sanji would be even more like "Red Leg"...

and then Sanji, traumatized by this, suddenly awakens to a mysterious power which lets his eyes turn red and gives him special abilities, such as covering his leg in a fire that never extinguishes unless the opponent is dead or entering the opponents mind and manipulate them, Sanji controls DD instead of being controlled himself.

Pretty obvious he's referring to Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi abilities of the Sharingan. Cause, ya know, Sanji is Naruto.
-
There is a blonde character in One Piece who is actually Naruto, but it's not Sanji. :ninja:

Random Princess Bride reference ftwMeaning that Kinemon has lost his parents (assumption) to a dragon and that is why he hates them?
The exchange basically goes in the line of:
"Why do you hate the dragon so much, like it killed your parents or something" "they might as well have"So the answer is something close to it, but maybe not exactly.

Anyone thinking the Kinemon/dragons connection has any relation/historical connection with Ryuuma vs the dragon (from the 'monsters' one shot)

Think it would be quite awesome if a reference was made to that…

He has an open fight with Vergo who may or may not be the 3rd man in DoFla`s crew (steam-mechanic-guy may be vize, but just guessing) and in all OP history Luffy always fought the big guy from another crew.
Also in the previous chapter he got connected to DoFla via by remembering "the bird-man" while DoFla especially pointed out this chapter that he thinks Luffy is dangerous. However the last part of your post would be awesome, but i minimized it to not spoil all people around ;)
