I think there is a thread for this already BUT it's buried somewhere. Anyways I am taking Japanese and just when I think I've got the most basic stuff down there is MORE. I do really enjoy it unlike German (ugh) and Spanish (BLECH!) both of which I took in some form or another. But I've been having trouble with these words:
ใใใพใ arimasu
ใใใ asoko
ใใ/ใใฎ ใใ/ใใฎ ใใ/ใใฎ kore/kono are/ano sore/sono
for example I had to translate "There is a park over there." which is apparently "ใใใใซ ใใใใ ใใใพใ"
I understand the use of "ga" for arimasu but the other parts I don't get LOL.
"ใใใใใใ ใใใ ใใใพใ" is what I put, I assumed the second "there" needed to be "asoko" or something but it apparently only appears in the english translation. Sorry for going back and forward from hiragana and english just showing some of the trouble I've been having. Not asking for you to answer LOL. Kanji ftmp seems like it's a really elongated way of writing short syllables in many cases, I can't believe I have to eventually learn so many if I want to be fluent when I kind of know about 15-25. Anyways just wanted to add my 2cents and I hope this thread expands and doesn't kicked locked or booted or whatever.
