Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks that.(anime wise that is).
It used to be something different and canon every episode. But once Johto came, there came certain conditions on catching a Pokemon.
He can't run out into a forest and catch something. No, it has to have a flippin backstory or some stupid quirk.
And don't get me started about towns. I could stop watching the anime for several months, look at the new episode, and he just got past the town he was in.
What's even his ambitions? He doesn't catch anything, he loses every league, and even his level 100 Pikachu can't do anything -

Wasn't Arceus realy close to die because we was on some special mud with ash just watching or was it screaming, you know i think that momemnt was good to use the a pokeball(since the others don't exist because that would mean some work) in order to save Arceus from the mud,them he releases him the moment we was not in danger anymore since it was a last resort move but at least do something that isn't using your body as a kamikaze in hopes that you will do something relevant.

Sooooo. The Third Episode of Digimon Fusion was supposed to air today.
It didnt.

So, Nickelodeon just aired Episode 1 of Digimon Fusion instead of Episode 3. I'm upset, but I've got a theory… I think Fusion's leaving Nick. I think they were probably told to not even air the newest episode because the show's going to NickToons or Vortex. It's just a guess, but, I mean, they don't even have Fusion listed in the TV guide for next week. This whole thing has been rough from the start. First the lack of advertising, followed by the 1:30PM timeslot, then the Day of Play interrupting things, now this...
I like Nick; I really do. I grew up with this network, I've worked on shows for this network, and I have nothing but respect for them. Therefore, I SERIOUSLY doubt they're TRYING to mess things up. That being said, however, this sort of shabby treatment really makes me mad. We've got a legitimately good show and it's not being treated well. I understand that it's not one of Nick's homegrown shows and, as a result, doesn't have a high priority on the network. That's fine; I get that. It's still no excuse for THIS level of incompetence. This is DIGIMON for crying out loud. It's a series with a large fanbase that's been around for 15 YEARS. If we were some new show that no one had ever heard of and we got this treatment, it wouldn't be right but it WOULD be understandable.
My only hope is that the show moves somewhere where it has a better shot. Here's my dream situation:
- Digimon Fusion moves to Vortex.
- They advertise it well in advance so kids know to tune in for it.
- They give it a good time slot.
- They start us off with a FOUR EPISODE mini marathon so that new viewers can catch the premier and those of us who saw the first two episodes on Nick have something to look forward to.
That would be the BEST. I know Vortex would at least do #3 because that's Saban's own programming block. If anyone would give us a fighting chance, it's Digimon's parent company.
No matter what happens, I sincerely hope things turn around for this show. The actors, the director, the editors, the producers….., heck EVERYONE who works on this show is putting their all into making it terrific. All we need is a chance.
Sorry about that guys… I just needed to get that off my chest.

I watched the first episode and… does nobody at Saban know how to do sound mixing? The music completely overshadowed the voice acting. Plus, the dub wasn't very good...
I did read about how Nickelodeon is screwing the show over. That's a shame.

I've never actually seen this particular series. In fact I've only seen one episode of Savers so far.
I watched the first four series when they ran on RTL II, but it's anime section has kind of sort of shrunk down to literally nothing, plus Frontier left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth…..mostly because of the whole "no actual digital partners" thing. Mostly cause that meant that everything related to the role was left in the hands of two annoying comic relief characters who never managed to do much.
I do miss a Digimon series I can actually watch on TV, though at this point I think nothing will quite hit the same stride for me as Adventure did. Compared with 02, and especially Tamers and Frontier, the stories and setups seemed a little less original, and a little less….adventureous if that makes any sense, not meaning feeling like Adventure, just having an adventureous spirit. Also I never really grew as attached to any of the protagonists as I did for those in Adventure, hell in 02 my favourite parts were those where the original kids did stuff, which was almost never.
I guess it's cause Adventure nicked many good settings/locations and whatnot, but I don't remember location design being particularly memorable afterwards either.
I dunno, I guess the franchise might not have enough steam to manage a group of characters for more then a single season, but I would wish we didn't have the whole universe recreated every time a new series starts up because it feels rather pointles to even get invested in it.

I was confused and thought a new Digimon series had come out, then when I looked it up on Youtube I realized what you were talking about.
I remember watching the first ep of this when it came out in Japan and thinking: 'Don't they mean Tengen Toppa Digimon Lagann?' Maybe it gets better later on, but in the first episode they even rip off the whole 'protagonists with a flag facing off against an insanely huge army and being all dashing and stuff' that is the opening scene of TTGL. Plus there's 90% more drills than any previous Digimon, plus the glasses and pointy chevrons everyone is wearing. I mean, I get it. TTGL was super insanely popular at the time this version of Digimon was made, but Digimon wasn't so horrible of a franchise that they needed to bite on more popular series to get by.
For my two cents, I liked Digimon 01 and Tamers. 01 because it had an interesting aesthetic and the plot got pretty good around the time Hikari becomes an actual character, and Tamers because it's what happens when you ask a psychopath to write a kids' show.

In my opinion Fusion/Xros Wars is the worst Digimon series so far with one of the worst protagonists I've ever seen. The part with Tagiru is a little bit better than the other two seasons of Xros Wars. I really despise this Digimon series even though it had many cool digimon.
