Okay, so the manga section has this unique type of thread, and it's a thread I'd like to see more popularized. Just put the music you've listened to into tiers.
Have you only listened to Slipknot and Korn? Then tell us why eight sweaty dudes in masks are superior to a band whose singer sounds like he's gargling on Listerine (but it's probably goat blood or something) while he sings.
Just like the manga thread, feel free to make up your own tiers. This doesn't have to be you tier'ing everything you've heard (or like) into one list. You can come back here and post things like "2012 Tier List", "All Time Tier List", "Country Tier List", etc. Or even just put your 5, 10, 50 most recent albums into a tier list! This doesn't have to be a hit-and-run thread where you only pop in once.

High Tier: Crystal Castles - (III); Metric - Synthetica; iamamwhoami - Kin; Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do; Animal Collective - Centipede Hz; Scott Walker - Bish Bosch (I liked the uniqueness but found it mostly grating, but at times it really clicked); Beach House - Bloom;
