Oh that's exciting!! And about time!! Apparently it's due for release in October so technically should go up for PO next week!! We really needed a new Luffy, and I imagine it will be based on his Dressrosa appearance like the FAZ:

The new POP Luffy had -better- be Lucy! It's a pretty ridiculous and glaring omission that we have two Dressrosa Laws, two Rebeccas, and characters like Bellamy but no figure of Luffy to fight alongside Law.

Two Rebecca's? There is always the FAZ line, though the Lucy FAZ is just the new world Luffy re-done basically. Same pose.

I think Max is refering to the CB Rebecca…........I agree, it would be nice for this to come with the cape and an alternate head with beard/helmet so you can choose to pose as Gladiator Lucy or Luffy from later in the arc.........
but we all know Megahouse and how lazy they are.........for all we know it may just be a slighting updated sculpt of the first Luffy SA.................

I think I said a little while back that Megahouse had run out of characters to do, so the most obvious choice now was for them to re-do the strawhats as these would always be popular.
They started with Mugiwara Ver.1 & 2 of Nami and pre-timeskip Zoro (Not to mention the hoards of LIMITED Choppers that we're still getting). They they decided to re-release all the Muguiwara CB's, along with a few new additions.
Now we're getting Nami, Robin & Hancock bikini versions. Of the top 10 most popular characters it's Sanji who desperately needs some Love now!!!

I think they don't wanna risk it with unpopular aside of Buggy.
This is at least what i think,megahouse thinks of making more limited exclusive figures,and not only one piece but also other anime series like gintama. -

And where do those characters feature on the last popularity poll…....? (i've added them above)................Ok, so MH haven't run out of characters, but they're run out of characters that would sell in the quantities they require to justify production..........
They've stretched themselves with Eustass Kid and Killer (18th & 61st), Bon Clay (20th), Cavandish (27th), Rebecca (29th) and Koala (30th). Sugar (39th) and Violet (45th) were a big gamble, seems it paid off for one (the smaller, cheaper one), but not the other.
Going beyond 50th, like they did with Bellamy doesn't make sense financially for Megahouse........they only have a handful of viable original characters left. Hence the Luffy Ver.2
Edit: Doesn't look like there will be a POP PO this month, unless Luffy Ver.2 is a LIMITED

I had my first rib removed and some muscles trimmed, so my left arm is pretty painful still (It's honestly not as bad as I feared it would be)… So I must stare at him in his box for a little longer

10 days until Wonder Festival!! I'm really hoping we get something solid from Megahouse. I'm not interested in the Nami or Mihawk VAH's, but have high hopes for the Luffy Ver.2 POP!!

God damn WCF is getting a pain in the arse to track down, newer sets rarely appearing on Mandarake or Rakuten anymore. History of Sabo was bad enough but I've had zero luck with Punk Hazard now, really beginning to bother me.

I feel your pain, the punk hazard set sold out where I buy them on release instantly. Haven't been actively searching but there are some WCFS that I have yet to see anywhere.

I remember those times when WCF sets appeared first in Play Asia at the beggining of the months iirc and I had to wake up earlier to grab the ones I wanted.

I just picked up vol 35 while I'm here in Japan, paid about 10,000 yen which is irregularly high for WCF recently from OP….but I checked pricing on auctions and figure stores relatively and can only assess it must be one of those sets where they can't make too many complete sets from a whole box (bad ratio).
Being here in Japan is really a bummer for collectors...on the times I did visit figure shops and Book Offs etc.....I am constantly reminded how the OP fever has completely died in Japan.....they just over merchandised everything to hell and people just don't see the value in new/old figures anymore unless they are the most patient/hardcore collectors throughout the last years.
I must say, it is a great time to pick up merchandise in general with the exchange rate and recessed pricing. All sorts of figures from the rarest to popular I've seen just can't fetch any sort of real premium anymore. I didn't really buy that much since I'm just collecting certain lines like WCF/POP and some Banpresto stuff I find attractive most the times (excluding my kids and my new love for tsum tsums)....but man temptations a plenty with the pricing right now. Will probably be putting up some MISB POPs that I have stashed away here in Japan for cheap also soon for members first before I send it out to auctions.
Fond memories of APF collector forums as I walk through various parts of Japan, it's cool to know what it all once was when we were part of that craze....kinda something to tell your grand kids about to laugh in the future.
