Oh my god, that Dramatic Showcase was the moment I fell in love with OP, any details on release dates?

that luffy is fucking terrifying and brings back childhood nightmares of crocodile dentist

That WCF set would look really cool in an actual aquarium.
-
Law looks amazing as always !
And the WCF set look really cute, its from this coverpage -

I'm not actually gonna do it, I just think it would look neat.

This is pretty interesting to me, actually. I know PVC off-gases, but it makes me wonder what all the regular aquarium props are made out of that makes it more 'safe' for fish? I always see all kinds of plastic items to put in fish tanks but I never really thought about how the chemicals would affect the fish.
-
Doffy has so many awesome looking figures, but the biggest one (POP ver.) I cannot get myself to buy due to all the bad feedback it's received (not regarding the quality, but the inevitable leaning of the figure itself). I wish MH would release an updated version already.

Probably gonna pass on that Law GLM unless it's really dirt cheap.
I wish GLM or FAZ would release Apoo and post-time skip Coby&Helmeppo.

Wow figuarts Law ain't half bad. Good expression on his face (I'm a sucker for Law with that expression ^_^;;). I just picked him up on Amazon after seeing those pics. Kind of shocked I wanted a FAZ. Looking forward to the GLM one without the hat on. Then after the MSP/POP I need to call it quits on Law as I'll have like 5 of him.
Got Limited Figuarts Ace and Vivi POP today! Ace is well done and Vivi is simply lovely, as people say. Simple, but lovely. Trying to decide to display her with no cape and pony tail, or hair down and cape. Decisions, decisions. Definitely pulling bon-chan out of storage to display with her.
-
Okay ummmmmm! Dunno what to start with.
Let's say there was nothing that got me amazed or really excited, but at least more Banpresto stuff coming up, I always enjoy it. At leas OP stuff is still hot, I don't think there was anything new for Jojo :(((
My Perhona and Shirahoshi shelves are packed to the max, I have no idea how it's gonna work out with all these new figures coming up! ><;The Dramatic Showcase scene is classic. Kinda wish they'd make an Arlong instead of 2 Luffys? Or even better - A NOJIKO?!! But oh well.
I like the direction WCF are taking, but… we're never-ever seeing Blackbeard pirates made at this point, right? :( We haven't even seen figures based on newest arcs! It's Mugiwara crew again and again.
Also, since it's changed to sets of 6 now, I wonder if the undersea set will be divided into 2 stages (Luffy, Robin, Chopper, Eel and Nami, Franky + Sanji, Keimi, Usopp, Hachi, Brook, Zook)?Law vs Flamingo looks great (another Law though...)
-
As sometimes happens, Banpresto doesn't make a proper Luffy face. Both Luffys have so off faces and he looks like he's humiliating and forcing her to put the Straw Hat.
-
Old news (apparently), this is all I could find with the FC set "Will of D"

how much does that whole set go for?
-
^That set has just been announced. No info on release date nor price.
I love those WCF. I was really tempted by the Halloween ver. 2 set, but this is even better. If they keep doing color spreads, I might gave up and order them. I miss DPCF so much….
I'm disappointed on the lack of GLC. The GLM are kinda creepy. They look like Parchis Pawns. No sign of the Ladies is a sign that the line could be left unfinished, like pre TS SH, Z edition, etc. Not interested at all, neither understand what's the reason behind them
However, those SCultures BIG are just made of gold. Dofla is just a must buy for me. Law looks nice too, better than the actual tournament one.
As for the devil fruits, I'll think about them.
-
^That set has just been announced. No info on release date nor price.
There's no price set for WCF, they are prize-figures for arcade machines.
We can't know for sure, but upon release it will be probably about 6k yen per set of 6, so 12,000 yen for 2 sets and also around 3000-4000 for MEGA-hoshi? So possibly ~16000 all together with no shipping. Also 2 sets will be most luckily released 1 or 2 months apart.
Dofla and Law aren't Scultures, they are like Brotherhood/Manhood series I think.
-
From what I read, they are SCultures BIG, like the second Zoro was. Not part of the tournament, but still classifyied as SCultures. They have the same base as the SCultures, also; while Brotherhood/Manhood has personalized bases.
As for the prices, I agree with you, though you can actually buy them outside Japan (Asia version), since they are not prizes there.
-
@1Up:
another grandline men movie or play series? fam the grandline men movie z isnt even done yet:

I am pretty sure I want these figures because of cosplay. UGHNNNN

Dofla and Law aren't Scultures, they are like Brotherhood/Manhood series I think.
Those are SCultures BIG Special figures. At least Law is, confirmed by the most reliable source - the official Banpresto blog.

Kinda on the fence for the new GLM. Should I start collecting yet another set of the crew that may not be completed?
Law is nice - might get em.
And oh the colorspread wcfs are oh so tempting. -

Its all in how its made/finished/sealed.
And they do sell stuff that you can use to coat stuff like figures that make it safe for fish. Do NOT stick an uncoated object in any fish tank, it will leak out paint and shit that is bad for them.
The downside of that coating is it does usually add a little thick layer on top and, that might make those tiny figures look terrible.
-

Use Krylon Fusion clear coat. It's freshwater aquarium safe, just make sure you wait a good 15-20 minutes after coating before you install the item(s) into the tank.
-
You can usually get away with aquarium grade clear coating in freshwater tanks but saltwater clear coating may be entirely different. Like Icel said, it can kill the coral. Saltwater is a lot more sensitive.
-
I'm liking the Dramatic Showcase, looks like they have Usopp as well. Though instead of the screaming Luffy, I'd rather have one that's posed like he's walking (similar to manga/anime).
-
disappointed by the lack of Bartolomeo and maybe Cavendish GLM. Still have to wait for Robin, Nami, and Sanji 15th anniv before buying the set.
and of course, Doflamingo looks goooooooood.
-
All i can see from this expo is ALL THE ZORO'S!!!!
-
The dramatic showcase is BEAUTIFUL, one day I'll have to get them all!
I've just came back from post office where in the end I've got my Sadi-chan. Thanks 1up! Also for the Boa's card, nice touch.

there is nothing that really regulates whether or not those props are safe for an aquarium. which is why you almost never see them in saltwater aquariums worth their salt (badum tush), because if it's not meant to be in there in the first place – then corals especially like the ones in the background (acropora) will most likely die. while the fish would probably be fine, if there is any trace amounts of copper or other deadly things all your inverts and biological filtration in the rocks (which is essential for saltwater) will die off, leading to the fish going bye-bye soon after. that's why you mainly see them in freshwater aquariums, fish are much less sensitive, biological filtration is not as essential and aquarists tend to be less experienced.
not saying WCF's would be insta-death, they might be fine for all intents. but when you're dealing with corals and more delicate fish it's really stupid to throw in random shit because who the fuck knows all the chemicals in them or how they might affect the system. you just don't experiment with the lives of animals just because you want a "cool" decoration. not saying anyone here was going to attempt this, but i just want to point out how senseless it would be just in case anyone was thinking about throwing their figures into a tank.
-
You know, if I ever decided to make an aquarium diorama with One Piece figures in it, I'd NEVER consider putting ACTUAL FISH there :P I mean, come on, they will poop on my figures! Not to mention all the flora blooming inside. Water will have to be chemical like in pools.

And oh the colorspread wcfs are oh so tempting.Yeah, thanks for the correction, I already realized I was wrong there.
I think this set has high chances of getting completed since we already have 6 out of 9 done.
I will get it for 100% because I love these outfits, but I hate how terribly off scale Chopper is with the rest :/ -
The gomu gomu no mi and mera mera no mi are a must get!

My interest is piqued simply because they seem to be more like action figures so there's a little bit of a fun factor there for photo shoots. That, and I like Garp's silhouette. It's very, hm, Pixar movie? I don't really like how the bonus parts are pieced out. 20 Ace in a box but only 10 Garp and 6 sets of alternate parts? I can see getting them all like a playset or something.
Creative spring photoshoots, especially with the new Nendo n more clips I have. Hmm...

I've found these "Picture Duplicate" items on Mandarake, and having a bit of a scout around can see a few in collections, anyone know just what they are?

[http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-777364.htmlG](http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-777364.html)intama ones for sale here too, seem high priced for just an art print if it's not a screen print or some such, perhaps Giclee?
S](https://mekke.shueisha.co.jp/CGI/mekke/shop/s_seq.cgi?code=4530430182749)o many signed things on YAJ but indeed, no way to know if real or not :*(
They are high quality art prints, basically a digital print on photographic paper, so they look almost like the original. They were pretty expensive at about 20,000 yen when released and limited to 10,000 prints. They aren't signed which is disappointing. They are professionally framed and quite big. I have one of Luffy, Nami and Zoro that I got 4 years ago. It's still in the box. Amazingly, somebody is trying to sell one for 150,000 yen on amazon jp. wow.
!
New figures are looking good. Esp the WCFs, I'm sure that set will be expensive when it comes out.

They made this very touching stop motion video with the Chopper set as a commercial for the line. So yeah, you're right in them being great for photos. I think they are supposed to be used for creative purposes more than just sitting on a shelf. That seems to be the way Banpresto is advertising them.
-
^I think I'll try those before fully commiting to RAH. I've been thinking about it since I preordered Mikasa. I don't usually take pictures or pose my figures, so action figures never suited me. If I'm not wrong, Chopper/Hilukuk/Kureha sets are due in a couple of weeks. If they do Robin (Olvia, Saul, Clover, Deresii faces) or Franky (Tom, Iceburg, Kokoro, and mini ships) next, I'll die!

LOL perhaps starting with a Figuarts SH or a Figma would be more appropriate!! Posable things can be super fun, especially if you buy a few miniatures. Do take pictures of the chopper set when you've got it in a scene!

I highly recommend figma. I was pretty into statics, but I have handful of figma and love them, very easy to pose and quite dynamic

This part in One Piece made me laugh so hard, I'm a sucker for anyone with a hollow going through them. I missed out on Zoro an Usopp from the first set :-( -

Thanks for the reply Crease, I actually collect art prints so these may be perfect, indeed disappointed they aren't signed though. Does Oda do signings at events at the like then?
I'm seeing a lot of signed "Art Boards" for other series, I got one of Psycho Pass for the wife for Christmas and apparently anyone going to the Madoka Movie premier got one.
