False ban?

I know this is the wrong place but I really don't know how to go about this so if any moderator/administrator would at least talk to me about this I'd be very appreciative.

I feel like I was falsely banned based on this thread (khainiwest). I did not attack the moderator, as he so claimed, I did not tell him, or anyone the thread was useless, nor did I want to engage in that type of conflict. Especially over something as silly as "general trollyness". I have participated and engaged in threads other than that one where it didn't end up with someone with evidently a power trip, attacked my opinion, even made up arguments to make it look ridiculous.

Any AP members who are skeptical please read page 4 and onward. In fact it was quite small of him to not only kick me from the thread, but only to respond, even provoking further with intent to continue conversation, knowing I couldn't, simply so he could get the last word in.

My first response was innocent enough, he attacked my essential character over it, which to me isn't right and an abuse of his moderator priveledges. If anything going straight to a permaban is quite excessive considering I haven't even had one offense, nor did I intend too.

You were banned for being trollish all over the place in multiple threads, not just that one thread, and several different mods agreed on that.

Take it as a warning and pull it back some and behave and you can keep your new name.

If it was trolling why wasn't it closed or infracted on? I don't understand how posting a video from the TYT emphasizing the crazyness of drug cartels is "trying to get the rise out of someone". I was honestly attempting to get a logical discussion about it. I'd rather just get my old name and take an infraction for it if it's all possible.

edit: To clarify I'm not saying that you're not wrong, but that would at least give me some boundaries or some sort of inkling of your suggested assumption of that thread, which is not accurate but irrelevant.

I made that thread to create a creative response of what people would do on the last day of the supposed end of the world. I just don't understand the logic behind these accusations that I'm trying to insult or bring a war or something on such concepts >_>;

In fact people were responding positively to it until it was closed by a moderator which, frankly, I didn't challenge nor understand his rage against it.

I'm showing you this because after the first 3 responses I tried to close the thread but I couldn't find the method to do so. I left it alone and forgot about it, I didn't even think to check back on it and I didn't get a PM, so i assumed it got flooded.

This is not a trolling issue, these were simply me trying to get interesting discussions about the topic. That's it. Inappropriate maybe, but in falls in no definition of trolling. No definition. Nor did it warrant a straight perma ban which is how many points on this website?

I think it's unreasonable, I think you think it's unreasonable, and it's not fair I lose my account over a no warning instant death.

Cocaine being hidden in breast implants really isn't substantive enough on its own to warrant a full thread anyway: in the future if you want to talk about random news stuff, there's a thread for that, here.

Mods will generally close threads they don't think are going to last very long or have a vaguely worded purpose.
If you're planning on making a thread, consider what you're trying to get out of it.

A thread like "Effectiveness of the War on Drugs" or "The Case for the Legalization of Drugs Thread" or even a "

" (don't do this) would've had a longer lifeline.
You're new here so it's okay if you don't know what's what but maybe look around at other longer threads next time, see what they're doing right.

I'm not sure how your mind is blown. This is simply a moderator, I'm making contact with the admin. Obviously there is clear bias, none of those threads were trolling and they are just looking to stick me with something as I embarrassed the ego of the moderator in the WBC thread.

I know this because he apologized to me in PM's, and this guy is essentially saying he knows he was wrong, thus letting me keep this account.

Do you personally find it reasonable based on the circumstances I deserve a straight to perma ban? I would love if more members posted why they think this is a justified decision besides "because he said so".

The ban didn't really focus solely on the threads, but your intensity in debating. Maybe try chilling out and get to know the people here as more of a social network than a battle ground for debating. I doubt the staff want someone that they feel needs babysitting.

In regards to the points you've made here, most of them are right. But being right isn't really going to tip the balance in your favor if you come across as terse or disrespectful.

As i said before, try chilling out for a bit till you suss things out. As annoying as it might be, you have to learn to crawl before you can run lol

What would have pissed him off? I didn't challenge his character, I challenged his point, where my point was nothing more than "Hey, you guys can be mad, but ignoring them is the best way to hit them! Ignore their message!". Then he made all these assumptions about me and attacked my character. He got mad because I cornered his logic, not that I attacked him.

When a new account is made you can't make a new thread ANYWHERE but this thread. Otherwise I would.

As for the points, I have stated, and I restated for you why they aren't relevant, and neither should a moderator position dictate a power trip as extreme as this.

There's nothing I've said that has been disrespectful though. I've been trying my best actually, even during the WBC argument to present this in an adult manner. But I've essentially been bullied at this point. I got banned for bruising a moderators ego, I know for a fact I got kicked from the WBC thread for that very reason as that was told to me.

For the other record. Just because I'm the mod actually taking the time to talk to you doesn't mean I'm the mod that looked closely at your case or cares at all. I only glanced at your history and saw the closed threads.

But at the very least in the future, consider what kind of thread topics you're making before you make them. Spamming nonsense stupid topics IS trolling. Followed by getting into a big random fight on a completely unrelated subject in another thread is also not good.

Infractions don't get tossed around much because it can never be agreed how many marks of how much severity in short order are needed before banning someone, and anyone thats been here a while accumulates them, so usually disruptive agressive types are just dealt with, it's not worth the hassle of dealing with obvious trouble makers or idiots over an extended period. (Some past troublemakers were given multiple chances for months and pretty much ruined it for everyone.) Usually, if someone legitimately wants to be here, they can then send a PM to a mod and plead their case. Or create a new name with a blank slate, like you did.

I'll take a closer look at your actual post history later and see what your other posts look like.

Ah. Just to clarify I tried to blacklist him or "ignore" but it stated he was a moderator and I could not. However none the less I appreciate the time.

edit: Oh I see, I use other forums with similar format's so I wasn't sure if I could actually do anything on the account. I'll just PM a mod before making a thread to clarify if it's considered spam or not, until I get an idea of the enviroment at least.

Heavy debating isn't a crime.. we're use to having the occasional newbie who's a heavy debater, but with a foul attitude and mouth, come in here and spread their unreasonableness. I personally feel you were fine in the debate with Aohige - the threads weren't necessary, but that came with you being new.

So here's your second chance - Robby has been kind enough to give it to you, and he usually doesn't go back on his actions, so feel lucky. Welcome to the forum. Oh no! I remember thinking to myself if I wrote guy or gay. I'm on a phone so Auto correct can be really anyone sometimes. I don't remember being told about it. I didn't know it was very strict either way. But thanks for letting me know, I hope my reputation hasn't been sullied. Thanks for the help :)
