Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

! Any word on who Monet's voice actresses is going to be?
@White:
Is it just me or they made the preview music even more orchestra-esque?
Yeah it's different.
Here's the old one.
The decapitation being censored isn't anything new for the anime. In fact, it's actually a step up that it was shown at all, given that the dinosaur beheadings in Little Garden weren't.
Next episode actually looks like it'll have a better animation.
About the preview theme, I wonder if it's possible to find a full version of it? Sounds good.
I said it and I will say it again. That's one awful color scheme for Mr. Legs.

Indeed. The difference is that people overanalyze every single frame of the anime these days.

Quoted for truth.

Actually, I think that matches Oda's color scheme from this colorspread http://www.mangahere.com/manga/one_piece/v60/c693/3.html, though granted you can only see the top part of his outfit in there
I actually loved the voice choices so far. Both Legs-Dragon and Hazmat guys sound good.
It's nice that they had everyone on the away team do something too. Always felt Robin was a bit short changed on that fight.
whoops, edited spoiler
I just wonder how they're going to censor
! Trafalgar taking out Smoker's heart.

! I don't see why they would need to censor it since there was no blood or anything graphic.

Shh. Mr. Legs' identity is still a spoiler.
There are some spots in the anime where you just know "This is a 2chan (Kodak) moment." Thanks for always linking their thread, Galaxy 9000. Looks like they did their actual 'job' this time.
Loved the episode. Dragon was far more detailed than I was expecting for the anime, and I felt the music flowed especially when they were in the air. Punk Hazard just starts off in the best possible way… Nobody ever thought we'd have a dragon so immediately in the New World.
Pretty good overall. Consistent art and animation. I noticed the Funimation subs forgot the "of Death" part of Zoro's attack, not that it's important.
Only complaint is that it felt pretty slow at times. I can't fault the anime for that though. It was an action-heavy chapter to begin with.
Pretty decent episode. Animation was actually better than I thought it would be based on the preview, so I can't complain about that too much. The dragon fight was handled fairly well, and it had a good cliffhanger for anime-only viewers. I'm pleased.
I got shivers when those mask guys was sneaking aboard the thousand-sunny. Awesome episode.

I agree, the ending scene was done perfectly. The unnerving music and the hazmat soldiers made a great combination.
Few Its been a while, I don't know about some of you guys but I enjoyed the episode. I loved how Luffy had the Dragon eat his tail, pretty cool and Zoro
Usopp can be funny and annoying at times, he made me laugh this episode but at the same time whenever he'd freak out I wanted to punch him
I didn't mind the animation, I can't wait for
! When Law comes into the picture and him/Luffy meet up again. That was one of my favorite parts in the manga.
Over all, yah fun. Can't wait for the rest of the arc.

The guy who translates the episodes for the Funi sub fucked up on that one.
Shh. Mr. Legs' identity is still a spoiler.
'Doh! My bad. Thanks for catching.
Hm, I never noticed in the manga that Zoro started using Shusui for the "Lion's Song" attack instead of the Wado Ichimonji.
I'm just glad they're taking a break from that weird thick-outline animation they've been doing semi-recently. All in all, I'm actually kind of glad that they added the whole frogman scene on the Sunny; that's something us manga readers take for granted on account of it having have to be short because of time constraints.
! Now that I've heard Kinemon's voice, I'm excited to hear Caesar's voice who's apparently the same VA who does Frieza in DBZ and Mayuri in Bleach as well as Monet's and Momo's.
I'll ignore the usual whiners and go with the majority who are giving a good episode proper credit here. I think the animation was consistent and that's good enough for me, better than many Fish-Man Island episodes. We can't expect movie quality animation for the series, but as long as nothing looked bad I'm all for it.
The dragon fight was handled well, the ending was done just right with a good music choice, and Mr. Talking Legs sounded just as I expected him to, if not better.

What is the translation for the attack supposed to be? I forget what it was in the manga. It's supposed to be an updated version, right? Shishi means Lion if I'm not mistaken, so it's just the ending that's translated wrong?

Wait, hold the phone!
! I'm not familiar with Japanese DBZ, but if he's the same voice as f!cking Mayuri then I'm thrilled! I've been waiting for him to get the role of a villain in One Piece other than filler villain Eric and that one father from Spa Island. I'm pumped for this!

Not to mention "the dragon" asks about a Shichibukai. As in singular. Not "U GUIS KNOW DE WARLORDS???"
I've given up on Funimation. I'm fully ready for
! "Caesar Crown, Mone/Money and Virgo/Velgo" to show up!

The attack is Shi Shishi Sonson, which should translate literally as "Lion's Song of Death".
Not fucking Lion's Strike.

I think names can be blamed on Toei due to the script they give them, but other stuff is inexcusable.
I also don't get why they don't have the previews.
Whoa, a full 30-second preview???
Whoa, a full 30-second preview???
Yep. They finally stopped using the time frame for those Z ads.
When the pacing is ultra slow, I sometimes skip over a few episodes but it was so worth waiting to watch the Fishman Arc first before reading the manga. The anime is what I look forward to most! I love the colors, movement and most of all the voice actors. The drama is so much better with the soundtrack too. They're pretty close behind the manga, so it makes sense that it would be paced slower.

:WHEEZE: That makes me so unbelievably happy. :WHEEZE: <–---- Nerdgasm.
I agree that the Funi subs are lacking.

Oh, that's right. Yeah, sounds like laziness to me.
ALso, just one negative aspect about this episode. A few reveiwers on Youtube were commenting on this, and with some thought I think I agree. The anime is playing up Usopp's cowardice to ridiculous levels. Though he's scared in the manga, I'd have to agree that the anime lately has been trying to make Usopp seem like pre-time skip Usopp when we know he's not that much of a scaredycat. Did anyone else think this too while watching the episode?
Well to be honest I felt the same way about him in the manga too. Though I guess the anime by virtue of being voiced makes it seem more noticeable.

It's in the manga for sure, but I feel like the anime just throws it in our fave even more. You may be right about the voice making it more noticeable.
At the very least, I hope Oda gives Usopp some development soon so he doesn't regress. After all, Usopp is probably one of the most developed of the Straw Hats and I'd hate to see him stay like this without taking another step toward his dream, especially after two years of training on an island of man-eating plants.
I believe Usopp will always show fear throughout the entire manga, but that doesn't make him a coward as long as he steps up when it counts.
Forgot to link this.

–- Update From New Post Merge ---! Well. Kinemon's voice is great.
If anyone else has brought this up, sorry.
Has anybody noticed Ashi-san's voice is the same, or at least similar, to Kurama's in Naruto? I tried to get a confirmation on Wikipedia but the article hasn't been updated with this information.

The thing about it is that there's no need for Usopp to be such a chicken when he's got Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and even Robin or Franky around him. They're able to handle themselves, so Usopp should have more trust in them. I can see him freaking out so much when faced with unknown powerful enemies like if they cross paths with a Warlord, but even a dragon at this point shouldn't post such a huge threat to people as strong as Luffy and Zoro.
Well, I'm not going to take this too far, but I thought it was worth bringing up.

Now that you mention it, I can hear a similarity there. Hell, I forgot the fox's real name was Kurama and had to look it up, lol.
It was an okay episode. Really gave a creepy and mysterious atmosphere witch was only fitting for this arc.
The dragon fight felt kinda draggy at times especially in first half but it was cool. I was a little disappointed that there was no blood when cutting that thing's head off, but I'll guess it was expected.
I also really liked the breathing sound gas suit guys made. Really creepy in a good way.
Also while it is probably
! Kinemon's official voice, does anyone wonder if he should have a different voice when he's talking normally? When he's talking with his farts shouldn't it sound different then?

kinemon's voice actor is Kenyuu HORIUCHI (Amagai Shuusuke in bleach, nagato/pain/second hokage/Tobirama Senju/Yahiko in naruto), so yeah his voice is know.
Welp, I read the responses in here before watching and was kinda expecting you guys to just be saying positive things for the sake of it, but this episode was actually pretty good. I love it when the characters actually move around like they did this time. Wish the animation for every episode was at least that decent. The hazmat suit guys was definitely the coolest part of the episode.
Sometimes the anime shatters my mental image of the characters. I always pictured the suits as being white, not piss yellow. The atmosphere during the scene was eerie, though, so that's good.

When I say a good thing about a One Piece episode I always genuinely mean it. I realize it could be better but I consider the company its under and all that.
One thing about the episode:Nami's boobs physics. That is all.
Hm.. You don't say?
It took five pages for someone to mention boobs.
You're slacking, AP.

Okay, NOW it makes sense. He does sound similar to Kurama, but I can totally hear the Nagato vibes. What's surprising though is that this same guy played all those important characters in Naruto. Wait, he actually played Yahiko as well as Nagato? Didn't know that…

Why no love for da asses?
Nami and Robin don't have that much junk in the trunk, unfortunately.
The end of the dragon fight was terrible. When it bit its own wing for like ten seconds and fell in the most retarded manner possible, destroyed the scene imo.
I always imagined that the color of those henchmen's suits where green instead of yellow.
The dragon scene was one of the most epic scenes in the manga by far. No so in the anime. Rendered totally idiotic and not really got the full caliber. Also oo much of usopp being a coward. Not really portrayed in the manga. Don't think it got the general feeling.
I wasn't feeling the whole dragon fight at first because of it being dragged out so long, but then…
3 things happend; Zoro's burst of ...whatever the hell that was that almost knocked the dragon out (reminded mr of CoC)..
The scene on the Sunny and that suspense with the shadowed PH grunts really added to the mystery of "Who the hell are these guys?!" that was in the manga, so I'll give them that..
And to top it off..
I fell in love with Kinemon all over..
