Finally got my tire fixed. The heat was ridiculous though. No idea how hot it actually was, but it's 115 at 5pm, so I don't even want to know.
Post how your day was…

Got my very own copy of the professional chef for only 30 bucks
Now i just need to retreat to my study and get lost in the pages

Today I had to take a photo for my "work card". And of course, in the end, the photo became horrible.
After that, I went to a Pizza Hut…since when did Pizza Hut became so..so..not appealing ?

About 20 years ago? And as a rule ID pictures will always blow.
-
A while back I had to renew my ID. I jumped out of bed and went straight to city hall. But they told me I couldn't use my old picture because new regulations dictate that your ID picture has to be less than 6 months old. So I quickly went to a photographer across the street and returned to get my ID fixed.
My ID photo now looks like a mugshot.

Ended up sleeping for most the day without really realizing it. Like, so… 9 or more hours? I haven't really slept for that long in a long time. It's odd that I also remember what I was dreaming and I almost never really remember dreams. It was about me and my sister going through a collection of PSone games, thinking of games we should play. There was some Digimon games, and some randomly generated dungeon crawler that my sis wanted me to explain :T My voice was really shriveled and I had alot of problems talking... like if I was screaming or singing too loudly earlier or something. Still, it was odd. I kept on going, trying to explain random generation to my sis(despite the trouble I had making words). Funny part was, she seemed interested in it, rather than just turning away and distracting herself with other things like she usually does.
That was dorky, and I'm glad I woke up when I did. I'm thinking the new AC unit we got in the house has made me too comfortable. Usually the heat with or unsettling conditions would wake me up.

Amusement Park in Cincy tomorrow. Hope I fit on the rides….

Looks like this week's weather is gonna be in the triple digits again.
Goddamnit. -_-

Hey, it's 31 in my room right now and I have a fan going on.

The chef is leaving tomorrow morning so I'm going to be cooking on Wednesday and Thursday while still doing everything else.
God this hitch has been brutal.

Apparently my mother believes all laws and criminal codes that exist have a written, absolute exception that applies solely to her.
For example she's raving about how she'll have me locked up (another thing, she believes she can give orders to police, and hired goons to "beat me up" for free, just because she says so) for yelling at her when she earlier took out a huge ass knife and threatened to kill me with it.
(Oh and she also took it to the balcony and started banging on the railing with it in an attempt to get an audience)
Apparently the fact she has a scarr on her arm will be enough to "send me to jail for several years" whereas her constant life-threats are not at all a criminal act, because she declares them not to be.
Mind you she's drunk and in her angressive/self pitying stage so I don't think too much of this. She has been known to open doors to the hall and start screaming "ouch" when no one was hitting her, or even anywhere close to her for that matter, or yelling in a way that she in-depthly described all the previous events and exactly what I am doing and saying, all in an attempt to garner the attention and sympathy of an invisible "audience".

Hey, it's 31 in my room right now and I have a fan going on.
Well excuse me for being a walmart employee who works outside as a cart pusher every damn day who keeps coming close to passing out from constantly overworking throughout the summer despite drinking a shit ton of water to keep myself alive, not to mention a guy who allowed the heat (on top of all the bad shit happened to me this year) to drive him almost batshit crazy twice for the past two months. -_-
-
Nothing worth mentioning, barring a suspected bike theft by a shady looking guy who turned out only to have a malfunctioning lock. I just came here to say that I really love rice. And fresh bell pepper. So good ;_;

Dude I wasn't knocking you with that, honest :O

Sorry, it just sounded like you were. :(

Nope, look at your profile for more detailed explanation of why I wasn't.
I posted it just a second ago so it might be a bit useless but whatever.

Now I got my 1° "work card". Another step taken…YES.
So, I was eating lunch, but suddenly , a horrible smell of shit starts to linger in the place. I thought, "wow, this food stinks like shit, but I will eat it anyway, I don´t want to waste food".
When I got up from the chair, I saw that my dog pooped right next to me.
LOL

I was talking about the post where you said "Hey, it's 31 in my room right now and I have a fan going on."
That was the post that I though was ment to knock me. So once again, I'm sorry for taking it the wrong way. It's just that 80% of this year has been crappy for me so far and this summer has been the worst of it. ;_;
Hell, I can hardly even work on my projects, my drawing skills, video making skills, or clean my apartment up properly because of it. It's been that fucking dreadful for me.

I'm sorry to hear that, NM, that sounds like a really difficult situation :(

It is good! Bell peppers (and chili peppers come to think of it) are delicious. I used to make little bowls of them chopped up with olives, herbs and chili flakes to nibble on while working in an office. I cook the same thing but with rice and chopped sausage as a meal some days.

You have serious food-eating skills, given the situation.

Thanks . Sorry for the brevity but, yeah nothing much to add.

Edit:
Now isn't it nice when your father comes in and aggressively demands things that are physically impossible to do ?
Like learning how to drive, get a permit and drive to three different places to get measurements for orders, all within the span of one day ?

Since Person A is in the hospital right now and therefore won't be able to go to Berlin on Sunday, I was told that I'm going to be Person A from now on.
And I don't have anything fancy to wear for the musical we're going to!
So I had to go and buy a dress, shoes, accessoriesunderwear especially for that dress jcliajdliajand all that other nonsense.I actually found all of it after hours of shopping, and after all that, I was tired as shit and really needed some sleep.
I lay down, closed my eyes and bzzzzzzzzzzzz Mosquito:"This is my room now."
Me: "But I-"
Mosquito: "MY ROOM."
Me: "OKAY OKAY! I'll go sleep on the couch downstairs!!"Only you can't sleep on that couch because it's uncomfortable and fucking loud downstairs.
Also, I intended to trap the mosquito in my room by closing the door so my parents can kill it later.
You know what my dad did. LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN URGH. Now we can't find it. But I know it will find me when I try to sleep in my room tonight. -

(Also congratz on the promotion I guess, since it recquires someone else to be in the hospital, you'll be a harsh voiced, chain smoking, pearl wearing old Opera star in no time :D)

My four-day weekend has begun with a very lovely surprise: I came home to find that most of our dining chairs have arrived (in a beautiful shade of red and it's all padded and swivelly and comfy), plus my bedside dresser, bathroom mirrors (finally!), and more shelves in my cupboard. Everything is so comfy now and I'm so happy. I love this place~~ I never want to get married and have to move out. XD

You only have to move out when you get married?
-
Yeah. Things are pretty different here in that respect.
-
Yeah. Things are pretty different here in that respect.
If i remember correctly, you are Asian, right? Where do you live exactly?
It´s not that i can´t relate to that, my father is Turkish and despite living in Germany for 30 years now, he still has somewhat outdated principles. I am a male and i was, at least in that regard, treated differently than my sister who also only moved out when she got married, whereas i immediately moved out when i finished high school.
Are you only following your parents´wishes in order to obey them or are you ok with that "restriction"? -
Oh I may have answered the wrong question, or something. You asked if I only have to move out when I get married, so I figured that you were asking whether I get pushed out before that or anything like that.
Honestly the trend is based on a mix of tradition (less and less) and housing legislation. I'm from Singapore, one of the most overpopulated countries in the world which means that housing is extremely limited and expensive. There's government-owned housing (i.e. flats) and private housing (condominiums, bungalows, etc.). The former is much more common and heavily subsidised, so naturally it's much more affordable. But there's a rule that you can't buy your own flat if you're single, until you're 35 years old. So unless you're rich enough (on your own) to own a condo in your 20s, most people basically live in their parents' house till they get married. Of course there are other things you can do like renting a place with your partner or just if you're here on your own without family. But most people here are pretty much okay with this arrangement :P Especially since most people here prefer owning their own houses. It wasn't till I came to AP that I started realising that some people have issues living with their parents. My family doesn't have privacy or independence issues, so it's never bothered me at all. Basically "living with your parents" has no negative connotation over here at all, unless you're um like married for 10 years and still living there XD
-
Would it be considered bad parenting to not have your kids living at home?
Like people going by thinking -Oh look the dolphin family can't take care of their own daughter let's look down our noses at them tisk tisk

Ah i see, seems like i misunderstood. I thought it was rooted in your traditional upbringing and more importantly, parents.

Started using Twitter agian and looked at my followers. Apparenly one of them is a professional COD player.
Never thought I'd see those three words written together like that and taken in serious context before.
It made me start laughing out loud to myself honestly. Professional COD player! Sounds like an expert at pimping freshwater fish. -
@wolfwoof:

If this was directed at me:
It depends really in which circles you are. Like i said, my parents are immigrants here in Germany, they came to Turkey, while my sister and I are third generation immigrants who were born and raised here and have more adapted the western philosophy and lifestyle than the somewhat traditional way in Turkey, which, besides a few exception of the big cities like Istanbul or Izmir, is still the most common way there.
There are many immigrants here who have also adapted to the western lifestyle, those would not see a problem letting your children move out, but there are still more traditional people who probably would consider it bad parenting. -

well I guess part of it is tradition maybe? I really don't know, I've never thought of it that way. I would probably have been okay like this even if housing rules were different. I don't have to pay rent and my parents are good entertainment for whenever I'm bored XD

If he's a professional CoD player, does he actually get paid for it? Otherwise it's just a misleading way of saying "I like playing this game and I am good at it".

Admittedly my first thought was "yay public housing". We have increasingly little in the UK, and so pretty much everyone needs to rent. Except we don't have "tenants' rights" so much as "landlords' rights" so rent prices are too high and rising, any housing benefit paid goes straight into those rent increases, and tenants have almost no ability to legally challenge bad landlords…meaning bad landlords are everywhere. Almost all of my friends rent, and almost all of us never expect to be able to have our own place because of being unable to save up anything due to the constant rent increases. We used to have a lot of public housing, but most of it disappeared when Thatcher sold it off in the 80s, and Blair only helped the process along in the 90s. It's depressing.

Just because hundreds of millions of drunken college louts are taking up the professional of going out and whoring out fish, doesn't give you the right the laugh at them! It's a serious profession.

Gives a whole new meaning to the fish market
-
Hey, even teenage kids are whoring fish now. A fair share of the male population in my middle school class back in the day used to talk about it. How they got medals and raised ranks after getting new guns and equipment when they killed a bunch of people. Wow…this is becoming an epidemic..isn't it?

This is starting to sound like Gintama. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

You guys are amazing. Hahahah! I'm dying here.
Perfect way to start this day.I'm about to head out to the Navy recruitment center to ask around and get some information.
