@Dryish:
Aw, poor you. I used to play Munchkin with a couple of friends and ended up in more than one fully similar situation, but my friends and I had a sort of a gentlemen's agreement by which even though everyone did their utmost to harass everyone else whenever they felt like it no one ever messed with the ones with the worst luck since everyone knew they were already under huge stress. And it worked; there was always a competitive will for vengeance there, but it never crossed the line of becoming personal or outright hurtful to any player. And we all enjoyed the games A LOT as a result of that.
Yeah, that's what I meant about playing for fun first-and-foremost. And so long as you're not having too bad a time, it can even be fun getting screwed over by your friends in these things.
As for things I'm terrible at…I just don't play them. I'm rubbish at Mario Kart, and when I play it, I just get a bit bored and down with coming in last most of the time. But if I don't play, and I just watch the others, then it can be really fun. I do this when friends play shooting games too. It's like your own little Let's Plays.
@Sarfallet:
Burn food?! Are you crazy?? ;) Also, I don't know about marmite but it doesn't taste anything even remotely like salmiak. :P
Hm. How to describe it… The flies are crazy about it, they will flock to it like some kind of zerg swarm. It does have slight smell of some kind, only many many times stronger.
It's an acquired taste, you're first instinct is indeed that "THIS SHOULD NOT BE EATEN". Hahaha. :)
...
Oh, and a crazy British dude opening a can inside:
I was mentioning salmiak and marmite as examples of other kinds of 'acquired tastes' that I love. That said, neither attract huge clouds of flies!
That guy is such a Londoner XD Loved the video. It's just like how many of us would react, probably! That said, we'd still probably try it anyway*. My flatmate tried that rancid sharkmeat they eat up in Iceland (and it apparently took her two days to wash the taste away).
- = Not sure what that says about us…
@wolfwoof:
The tin. Y'know the foul smelling brine covered container
And print is this unsuspecting british girl who joined us recently
Little did she know that we are all horrible people:ninja:
I'm Print! :D
You are not horrible people. I've been to Sweden and found it really nice. The scenery is beautiful too! I'd love to go back there sometime and see more of it.
@Sarfallet:
The Print Girl, Printster, P-E, Printerr or "The Process Of Reproducing Text Or Images Have Broke" are other acceptable substitutes for her true name.
