Great video man and congrats for being featured on Cartoon Hangover!
I debated on posted that here, but ultimately forgot to. The video is doing super well, got on the front page and was in the daily top 15.
Here's some fun behind the scenes stuff;
I'm in Indiana, and Frederator is in LA and NYC. So I wound up going to a school local here and recorded in a whisper room, basically a sound proof closet. They gave me 7 page script of the fact and I read off and did improv. I did it in 2 goes, 1-63 and then 64 - 112 (we had extra incase we needed to swap out stuff) and I had a horrible cold during the second half. It was terrible I was dying the entire time.
The giant woman take was a joke take I did, and wasn't expecting to be used in the video. This was my first time doing voice over and it makes me super happy so many people have message me saying they liked it.

Was looking through some music of the show and stumbled over the Hindi Steven Universe opening.
And I don't know why but it somehow made me really happy.[hide]
They took a lot of artistic freedom with this once, but it still stays very true to the show by being so carefree and cheerful.
It's filled it with a lot of cultural melodic cues, for example at the moment where Garnet plays through Steven's hair, the singer sings in a particular way that sounds like she's playfully teasing a child or friend in an endearing way. What a nice touch!
I bet this will make little Indian watchers of the show feel right at home and those little viewers are who matter most.
Also Steven's Voice Actor sounds cute as a button! A+++[/hide]Another Steven Bomb is coming!

I dunno. The big build up marathoney thing is cool… but I think I'd rather have new episodes for 5 weeks than one week with a lot. The splurge is cool but now that's a month where we won't have any later.
Unless this happens to be another set that builds to a big plot point thing in a hurry and theres an actual story reason for releasing them close together.

Okay, so our resident goat has been shoving this show down peoples' throats for the past few months on IRC, and I finally decided to start on it after he agreed to try out Teslagrad on my recommendation. I read through the entire thread just now, so there's really not much more I can add that isn't already the consensus: the show is amazing.
It took me maybe three days to get caught up (and only because I have other distractions), and I love it. Steven and Connie are adorable, and Pearl is my favorite gem, though Garnet is a close second. So far, my favorite episode is probably Rose's Scabbard, for the great character-building for Pearl, and the background music that plays while she's telling Steven the story of the war. Speaking of music, the show's is sublime! I can't wait until next week, which will mean five more new episodes…
P.S. Greg Universe is fantastic—top-notch dad and human being.

Yeah, that's gotta be it, which is really cool, especially since pink diamonds do exist. I'm guessing she took the name Rose Quartz as a sign of abdication, which would be amazing in a lot of ways, since Rose Quartz always did seem like a strange fit as a leading stone, but it would make a lot of sense in that context. That would also make Steven secretly a diamond, which speaks to his hidden potential and his importance as a character.
I love the sense of lore and worldbuilding this series can give in just a shot or two not even at the center of the episode. Actually, this episode has a lot front and center between Connie's growth as a character (along with her relationship with Steven) and in exploring Pearl's insecurities. And it still manages to fit in some details that flesh out Steven's universe.
Another thing I loved is that Connie is a swordfighter now and Steven uses the shield. Imagine just how awesome they'll be when they fuse.

This show just keeps introducing new fun stuff. I don't see my interest waning any time soon.

That opening was great too, with the addition of the cool kids and Ronaldo at the Big Donut and creeper Onion slinking up on the roof, little weirdo. Also see Dad Fryman with Peedee flailing on his shoulders. It's just a fun little scene there.

everything is so fre~~~~sh! I liked it a lot.
A bit of angst just like with Amethyst, but the focus is not the same and we have another peak as to what was to live with Rose like.
Steven is such a goofy character all the time that when he acts seriously is like that trope "silent guy is mad". I was really excited with it…his face, posture, the atmosphere built by the choreography; I got an adrenaline rush and all! Really can't wait to see them as partners in a battle.
The songs were pretty soft on the ears, too. Another delight.
Another point was Pearl's intensity. Which goes well with her personality and history as a character. Impressive what they can do with only 11 min.
I'm glad we have another Steven Bomb ahead of us because this show just slays it.

I didn't care for the Ronaldo episode, safe to call this one a Steven Bomb dud. But if you we by what the show has done so far, Ronaldo is gonna end up befriending an alien or saving the day by talking to aliens at some point.

Pretty much THIS is what I would be hoping for in terms of that foreshadowing at the end. We need Ronaldo and Peridot's Paranomal adventures and horror movie nights.

I love Ronaldo episodes he's such a fun character and we get to see more of all the side characters too. It was really refreshing to have this kind of episode, reminds of the Krusty Krab training video episode of SpongeBob. I think I liked this even more than the last episode.

! Jesus, this is some strange incarnation of body horror.
! I'm glad Garnet was able to get some more development. Mostly stuff we could have guessed about her, but it's nice to hear it out loud. Also, Garnet's already decently fleshed out in some ways. At least enough so that any time she loses her cool, I feel some legitimate concern for our protagonists. Garnet's reaction is what made the horrific nature of the forced fusions land more than anything else. I'm still shaking a little, thinking of the implications.
! This is also a good lead in to tomorrows episode and it makes me fear what we might get on friday, in a good way. -
