I really hope that this is an actual video game, but there's already card games involving those three series in Japan which seem to follow a similar set of rules among all three games - maybe it has something to do with that?

It depends on how many playables they decide to have from each series. Because if there's only 7 characters from each series I can see them putting Ace in over them.

I wonder, if these are the only series represented, couldn't the U.S. have a shot of getting the game? The three manga are all licensed by Viz, and their animes are all licensed by Funi in North America, so there shouldn't be too many licensing issues unless more series pop up

I was just thinking and thought of something. This… Might actually be localized. At the time of D.O.N. 4Kids had One Piece and Viz has Naruto. Jump Stars just had way too many random series. But this... All FUNimation.

In addition to One Piece, Dragon Ball, and Toriko being showcased, the creators of the new game are taking requests for characters to include this time around, a move they also made back when a sequel to Jump Super Stars was first announced.

Aren't Viz and FUNimation both in good working terms with one another? If the characters shown in the game are licensed properties by either company, it could still be possible that we can have a NA release.

Oops, I just noticed the publisher is Bandai Namco and not Nintendo, so it's not going to be a Jump Ultimate Stars sequel.

Weekly Shonen Jump isn't the only Jump. There's still Jump SQ, Ultra Jump, and Young Jump.

Oh thanks, I thought they would be different magazines since they all sound so similar but are different like Shonen Champion etc. I was wondering why a manga by Y. Murata wasn't in Jump after he made Eyeshield 21 which was so popular and all… well then One-Punch Man is a must have, with Geno included :p

I think this will be only a D.O.N. style game. But this time Naruto is dropped for Toriko. When the producers ask for chars, is for including the chars from the three series. I doubt very much that it will be a JUMP Ultimate Star game like.
Just see the old scans mag of D.O.N. and JUMP. When D.O.N. was announced they showed the three series and no more. JUMP's one showed all the chars.

Looks like it might be for PS3/Vita. The roster might also contain more than Toriko/OP/DB characters. Supposedly fans will be able to vote which characters they want in.
