The 4kids version is so incredibly bad, that I doubt anyone online still offers it. I'm positive most online sources now use the FAR more superior FUNimation dub. So I don't think you'll find it.

I've found torrents with 0 Seeds. You might be able to find someone selling the DVDs like on eBay or something. Last place I saw that had them was only charging $3 a volume.

I can understand where you're coming from, but yeah, 4kids OP is so hated, you'll probably never find the whole thing on torrents. You're better off buying them off eBay or Amazon. Hell, some volumes will probably cost you $3, and that include $2.98 shipping (i.e. $0.02 for a volume). It is kind of a shame it was never all released on DVD, since it is a testament to how you DON'T bring a series over to America. But hey, maybe Faulerro will continue doing his own take on "What if 4kids OP still went on".

And hey who knows, there's plenty of obscure dubs of anime that have been preserved over the years. The 4Kids dub is no longer readily available but it's a part of anime history now.

Last time I went to dubhappy (.com) to try to find some dubbed OP, the version I encountered was the 4kids one, so you might want to try there. That was two years ago, though, so they might not have them anymore…

If you guys want to see what shit is compared to a REAL dubbing company, go ahead and pick 'em up off of Amazon's used section if you can find them on there. You may get them really cheap. My public library actually has a few of the 4kids OP DVDs (oh Alabasta…). Houston Public Library system, if you live in the area, you can request delivery to a local branch. I suspect larger library systems would have the same thing.

Bad dubs are mostly forgotten over the years but there's always a segment of fandom (like me) who wants a piece of anime history out there. I like obscure shit, whether it's good or shitty, it's fun. I mean I really wanna go to a panel like this:

Plus you know, bad dubs should be preserved as a way to remind people and future generations how dubs should not be done and why you shouldn't let certain companies license certain types of content.

Indeed. I never got the 4kids DVDs of OP, but I do have the promotional 4kids OP DVD that came with the rip cord toys (shows music videos, trailers, and clips from the show). They are actually nice little toys as I have Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji lined up in attack positions (Sanji being my fav as he balances on his hand). ^^

It's not a maturity thing, it's just an absolutely terrible version of this show and nobody likes it. So once an objectively better product was released in the form of the FUNi DVDs, people stopped caring about preserving links/files of the putrid version of the show.

A lot of people believe, and it appears to be justified, that 4kids is nearly the sole reason One Piece isn't as popular in America as other shows like Naruto or Bleach and therefore why it got canceled from CN and can't get another TV deal.

So asking for the 4kids dub around here is akin to walking into an NAACP building and asking where the nearest Klan HQ building is.

If Shift can rip them for you, cool, you can take a look back at the horrible (Uuugh… I still have vietnam flaskbacks of Sanji's voice...) then more power to you, but that version stops at Drum.

No, I did nothing of the sort. Please don't put words in my mouth. I said the 4kids dub was widely hated and reviled around here, so don't expect people here to keep tabs on it or have much information or care about it.

My comparison is perfectly valid, just on a completely separate scale. It's like comparing a torch lighter to a flamethrower. Both do exactly the same thing, you point them at something and shoot out fire, but one is DRASTICALLY bigger in scale.

Why are you making such an incredibly big deal about this? Plenty of people have already tried to help you as best they can, but most everyone just ended up telling you there was no interest in it, so nobody really knew where you could find it. We're just stating we don't like it, nobody is making "OMG SERIOUS BUZINESS" comments but you. You're taking the things I am saying way out of context and are acting like I'm being some kind of unreasonable bitch because I just went and explained why 4kids' version of the story is universally hated and that is the reason you can't easily find rips of it.

Basically, you asked, "Hey, you guys know where I can find the bad version of this show?" And everyone is replying "Everyone thinks the bad version is bad, so nobody really kept it or made it readily available online." People are just answering your question as best they can by telling you it's not really available, and are explaining why that is so.
Shift might have the DVDs (which again, only went to Drum, so you still don't get ALL of the 4kids version, which went to the end of the Post Alabasta filler.) But stop demonizing me for simply explaining how the fanbase sees the 4kids version. Because trust me, my statements are far, FAR from isolated to me. Nobody thinks the 4kids higher ups personally kicked their dogs or anything, but every time FUNimation finishes the most recently purchased batch of One Piece episodes, fans tend to get a little on edge and are worried the series wasn't selling well and that FUNi may stop producing more. It's simply because the series is not as popular in the US as Naruto or Bleach, and a LOT of people blame 4kids for that lack of popularity.

So yes, there are some sore wounds, but kindly stop acting like I'm being some unreasonable bitch because it's really starting to insult me.

This is just a sample, type "4kids One Piece" into YT and you'll come against a wealth of clips. Tsukento's series he did on the 4kids One Piece problems had a BIG number of clips in it. I'll see if I can find it.

As for clips tho, they're very easy to find on Youtube, but most of the times whoever uploaded them also wanted to compare them to some other version of the series (usually Fansubs and/or FUNi) so you have to sift through them sometimes to find the 4kids part, but just plain clips are actually kinda plentiful, just not whole episodes.

Despite how much everyone hates the 4Kids dub, in the future it's going to become really hard to find the episodes. I think people are going to be interested for curiosity sake, because they have never seen it, or for others it might just bring back (painful) memories of the show.

In the original Dragon Ball dub Goku is called Zero, but just like how Zoro was changed to Zolo, I think it is those quirks that grab interest.
Anyway I think the 4Kids version of One Piece certainly a lot more entertaining (for the wrong reasons) than the Avex dub of One Piece.
