I'm sorry, but this is an internet forum. The point is to discuss things. As long as we're being fair and civil to one another and allow all viewpoints to voice their side, there's nothing wrong with having a discussion about a minor aspect. That's actually a sign that this set is SO GOOD that the ONLY thing we had to discuss was such a minor issue.
I still say Robin's acting was freaking amazing here. I discuss technical issues sometimes, but I always judge the overall quality of the dub on whether or not it can evoke the same emotional response in me that the Japanese version did. During Arlong Park, I cried at Bellemere's Death, I cried at Nami stabbing herself and "Luffy… Help me..." as well as Luffy's triumphant shout at Arlong Park. Cried like a baby at Chopper's Backstory, teared up as the SHs departed Alabasta, got choked up at the Noland flash back, and now I'm tearing up here. (wow, I'm a baby...)
This dub is just fantastic. Every emotional beat hits right as it should. So much so that when I know these things are coming, I get a box of tissues. That is the real power of this series, it gets you invested in the characters and I'm so happy FUNimation is honoring that and doing it justice... even if they get a minor thing or two wrong from time to time. But hey, the Japanese version isn't immune from this either. Zoro cutting Steel pre-Alabasta, Bon-chan being a "Ballerina", Two Zoros in the DBF, just to name a few off the top of my head lol.
