This in particular is awesome to hear. From the sound of that it means that One Piece is doing well enough for FUNimation that they're confident enough to plan for marketing and selling the series for over another half a decade. By that point in time if we continue at least a somewhat stable release pattern we'll be well into the Timeskip (and probably even at Dressrosa) in the dub, which is pretty exciting to think about.

well the commentary itself is awesome to listen, but as for any announcements from josh there really wasn't much. pretty much is that he has one piece marketing plans all the way thru 2020, and that the box collections of the anime that they are starting to release in Janurary will be limited edition with only about 300,000 being shipped. They might shipped more depending on the demand for it. Also he said that he hopes to give news about season 7 in the near future, but that there really isn't much to talk about it at this moment.
I believe he said 3,000, not 300,000, correct me if I'm wrong.

It looks like the release date for voyage three was moved back a couple weeks. The release date is still listed as December 23rd on Amazon and Rightstuf for now, but I assume Funimation's site is more accurate.

We don't know for certain if it got delayed yet, and assuming it is delayed it's only a difference of two week's, which means if you order it from right stuf you'll probably still get it for the holidays.
Interestingly enough voyage 2 is up for subscribers, despite the long delay for the previous, still a shame bout the third though.

Does anyone know if FUNimation will be doing any Black Friday deals for the series? I'm planning on preordering Collection 11 and the future voyages but I get the sinking feeling that if I'm patient for a little while longer that I'll be able to save a lot of money.
I know that they are doing some kind of collection sale for a bunch of series for black Friday, and that includes a sale of collection 1-10 as a bundle. That is the only thing that I know about

Last year's rightstuf holiday sale had the One Piece Collections (The ones with 26 episodes or so) each at like $17, which is the cheapest I have ever seen them online, even cheaper than when they were in the deal of the week in amazon (which was more or less the same price)
The collections have been on sale for 2 years (as in they are deals on the holidays) so I'd bet they will be on sale again this holiday, I plan to get the sets I'm missing this way.
You can also check these boxes which appear to be exclusive to amazon.

Was able to get all 4 DVD sets of Toriko for free with the $25 coupon they gave out with the annual subscription deal. Hope it's decent, though I hear a lot of complaints about how it's hardcore censored compared to the manga. Also picked up Film Z for $10, couldn't pass on that deal.

That's definitely a factor, but also due to typical Toei laziness with animation and pacing.

Funimation.com. It was Cyber Monday. Free shipping. Film Z was on sale for 10.xx. Bought it, said my total would be 10.xx. Got a shipping confirmation today saying that my total was 15.xx. So what gives? It's not like it's tax.
My shipping confirmation also says I was charged extra but I didn't see any charges to my paypal. I think it's because the listing price of the items I bought are now higher than they were at the time. One Piece Film Z is now $15.67.
I'm getting Strong World and Film Z for Christmas. This will be the first time I've seen either of these movies and I look forward to it. Especially to the new voices. Besides Brook and Kizaru, are there any other major characters appearing for the first time under Funimation?

Well, he did show up in Robin's flashback. I don't like him though. I will give it more time, but of all the english voices, I have found that I like Akainu's the least. It just doesn't have that absolute sense of "black and white" view of the world that Akainu has, I think. Other voices have come around for me, so I hope that Akainu does as well, but of all of them, I have the least optimism that I have had with others.
Vice Admiral Tsuru is the only other one that I can think of that appeared in Z that we haven't heard yet and she sounded excellent, I think. The voice fit not only her appearance, but personality, too. It's actually a real shame. I think of all the high ranking marines, she's the one that I think I would like to see more of. At least there is a certain element of potential and mystery with her that I just don't get with the other high ranking marines.
And since this thread has been rather slow lately…..random thought:
I wonder if Zoro is ever going to have to fight that Elder with the sword.....I think that could end up being a rather nice fight.

Yea I was thinking that as well. Actually I think the elders might one of the people who will be the final villain of one piece. It either has to be them, blackbeard or akainu.
