wow thats awesome so when the dub does get to that point, i hope that means they can skip it and continue with whatever arc would be currently ongoing on, since it is getting broadcast dubbed

Wow how strange. I don't believe there were any new voices for this set, I wonder what kind of hiccup they might have hit that made it so delayed? Maybe getting the Blackbeard crew voices back together? There isn't nay new music, so it couldn't be a licensing issue

it is probably to help extend the time until they get the Marineford license, though i could have sworn they have already started recording back in 2015

They should have been completely done with Impel Down for a while now, and there’s been plenty of evidence to suggest that they're dubbing Marineford at this point (they just haven’t made any sort of official announcement).
All I can think is maybe they don't think they have enough of season 8 done at this point, so they’re trying to stretch out the schedule for the end of this season/beginning of next season so they can get enough episodes dubbed to release season 8 at a decent pace (this is more or less what the release schedule was like for s6v3 through s7v1)

Possible, they are planning something big for season 8 release. Maybe a speedup so they can start broadcast dubs sooner and wanted more time to dub it all.

I have a feeling that The announcement of season 8 will come with the announcement of film gold acquisition.

Honestly, I'd prefer a speed up to anything else. But a broadcast dub would be a close second.
Looking at the calendar, I'd have to ration the new set to one episode per week. Oh joy.

I think a broadcast dub would be cool and all. But I just don't want to see it being rushed and I don't really want the release get faster and stuff that people couldn't keep up with the release. I more or so like the release is doing right now with a new set every two months.

Yeah I'm still waiting too. Amazon has 7 pt 1 for $20, Pt 2 for $20.50, and Pt 3 $23 … but part 4 is almost $29. So yeah I'm waiting until it comes down to the price levels the first 3 are at

I've been watching one or two of their other broadcast dubs and they don't feel "rushed," so I'm not sure that your supposition is quite right. Yes, they have to push them out faster, but they're pretty on top of it. Not sure how it would negatively impact the quality.

Together with Fate/Stay Night.Didn't expected it at all to come today or even this week.
Never got any mail that its been sent to my adress.I pre-orderd them bot with part 18 of Fairy tail in nov 20th ,so it looks like its delayed somehow….

I remember reading that Tatum said he'd like to play Iva (which is a good idea IMO), but that's probably not happening since he already played Sphinx and also Mike/Joel said they want to get more fresh voices on the show.

Ordered my first set on the funimation website. Done with rightstuf. Plus, I think shipping will be faster with the Funi store since I live in Texas now.
Iva really isn't a hard voice to nail. They know he was inspired by Rocky Horror, so I'm sure they'll have the brains to pick a voice similar to that character.

It's still difficult for me to believe that the dub is so far along.
I only collect the collection sets due to space constraints. Happy to see that the dub is trucking along nicely. -

Since it was asked for before Ivankov is voice by Randy Pearlman, Inazuma is voiced by Angela Chase and Chris Wehkamp, and Shiryu is voiced by Matt Thurston.
Also Mike McFarland is now listed as ADR director it seems, so for those waiting for that…there you go

Dont know why they would as that was a huge reason why ivankov decided to go to marineford. Ivankov doesnt know that luffy wasnt saying ace was his blood relative.

Man, the new voices in this set were fantastic, especially Iva. Sure, I'd love to see Tatum get another major role (outside the Sphinx, even if that was awesome) but I think this voice works better for Iva's character and personality. Superb acting all around throughout this set from new and old actor roles. Content wise I feel more satisfied from this set since it covered a lot more ground and didn't have a four episode filler arc stuffed in between. Personally for the majority of the episodes I actually did not mind the Buggy and Mr. 3 fluff since Duncan and McFarland are really funny together. I only felt those scenes were getting annoying toward the final two episodes of the set and I think they get worse as Impel Down goes on.
So the next set should finish Impel Down and possibly the Straw Hat story continuations and maybe the Marineford recap episode? Or is that too much?
