He says on Facebook that they're still dubbing season five.

They usually finish dubbing a little bit after the first or second voyage is released
-
Probably not this time. I think they'll finish around voyage 5's release.

Season four. They announced they were at Robin's emotional scene months ago. They've got to be in the last twenty or so episodes of season five by now.
Oh wait. I forgot about that ice hunter arc. Hmmm. Maybe you're right.
-
Robins's emotional scene should be almost halfway through season 5, so I'd say we got some time.

Breaking News for U.K One Piece fans. One Piece Collection 1 is coming out on May 27, One Piece Collection 2 on July 1st, One Piece Collection 3 on September 23, and One Piece Collection 4 on November 11th.
-
Sweet! I hope they're not overpriced like the DBZ ones were.
-
Hm. They get the original logo. Lucky bastards.
-
Seems like we get voyage 5 May 14th per amazon Canada. I hope this is true! http://www.fandompost.com/oldforums/showthread.php?19475-FUNimation-New-Title-Solicitations-(May-13)

This is the best news UK fans could wish for!
The '15' age rating. If anything, I thought One Piece would have a '12' age rating in the UK, considering uncut DBZ got a 'PG'. The box-art it's not final, so things might change, maybe not the logo if they are to match the European (original Japanese) logo.
Works out about £1 an episode, fantastic price! (Pre-ordering now) Too bad we probably won't see many of these in retail now that most of the HMV stores are closing down, they had a wide anime selection on display!Toei must have seriously lowered the licensing price for One Piece in Europe (and probably elsewhere). This has been a big year for Toei pushing One Piece to other countries, the chances that Strong World, Film Z and probably the rest of the movies will reach the US sooner rather than later has risen a HUGE amount, it's exciting!
Best news ever! Thank you Toei, thank you Funimation and thank you Manga UK!

What's it matter if it's just the boxart though? If anything it's worse since there's the inconsistencies that come with that.

Thanks! That's great! Less than two months later, and we'll get the next set sooner with rightstuf. Looking at a mid to late April delivery!

It really isn't a big deal. I would prefer the old logo, though.

anyone know why it took so long to license One Piece in UK?

So do these collections contain the Japanese versions and subtitled? or just Funi's dub?

They have both, no worries.
-
Quick question. Did Funi's Toriko release get a dubbed opening/ending?
-
Another Fun Fact: Nickelodeon (Main one, not Nicktoons)has adquired Digimon Fusion (Xros Wars) to air. I would have posted this in the TV Discussion, but Firecrouch told me not to.

Don't much care. Though I did love season three as a kid. And the first two are classics. Tried to watch season three recently, but it was way to childish for me to bear. Need a child in the room with me to watch that.
-
Wow. Im actually happy to find someone who thinks Tamers is not the end all to all storytelling. (I do love Tamers, though)
I meant that, if Nickelodeon and Toei Animation make more deals in the future, we might see One Piece on TV on Nick.
Even though the Digimon deal is more Saban than Toei making the calls.

No unfortunately they didn't. I really would have liked to hear "Satisfaction" in English too.

I'm not sure I'd want to see it on Nick. Sure, it would be better than nothing, but it would have to be severely toned down to be seen by Nick's target demographic. Toonami seems like a better fit and more likely too.
And coincidentally, http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=112299 is due out in June.
Re watching the episodes. "This damn water split us up." Such a great line.

In case you guys were hoping for dubbed songs on the fourth voyage, Mike just confirmed that there's no official updates on the dubbed songs yet. We can only hope for the fifth set, I suppose.
-
Do you guys see Funimation doing a theatrical run for Strong World like they've done for other movies like the FMA one? They've probably started dubbing it by now and I could see it ready for a theatrical release around late May/early June, maybe July… Thoughts?

Everyone is pretty sure of a limited theatrical release. Hell, they did one for Trigun, FMA, and the less desired One Piece film, Movie 8. My only problem is how limited it is. I'll go see it, but it has to be in my state. Only really willing to drive 2 hours or so to see it, so it would have to be near one of my two locations. I was able to see the FMA film when it was limited released, so I'm hoping this'll play at the same theater.
I'd expect it in July or August. They're probably nearing dubbing. Mike told me he's working on season five currently, so I'm assuming they haven't started quite yet. They'll probably finish dubbing season five before they start dubbing this. Who knows.
-
Finally watched the last episode on voyage three. Saved it this long, couldn't hold out anymore. That last episode was a bit taunting, knowing what comes right after it. Otherwise, it was a decent episode. Not much happened in it.
-
I live close to the Tempe Valley Art theatre, and FUNi's releases pretty much always get put out there. That's where I saw Both FMA movies and Trigun: Badlands Rumble.
-
I'd estimate it more in the Sept/Oct time frame, maybe late August if we're lucky.
-
It's officially a month and a week before the set is released. I've been checking the page anyways, but I really don't expect it until at least next week.

Right. Next week puts it about on par with voyage 2's early release, but I'm expecting the following week (week of Feb. 25th) to be when it comes out. Although I would love to be wrong (well wrong that it comes earlier, not later :P)
Since I don't watch OP subbed and I'm not caught up to Water 7 in the manga I'm seeing these all for the first time so the wait is killing me lol

Pre-order listing is @ TRSI. MRSP: $39.98. Release date: May 14, 2013.

That's absurd. I've been wondering what happens with those types of fans. If I were you, I would've continued in the manga. Wouldn't have been able to wait this long. Water 7 is just too good. Wait till the second episode on the set. If you haven't already been spoiled, it'll blow your mind.
Preordered the set. Looks like you guys beat me to it, though. Darn.
-
I also beat you to it, Zeph.
I hope Sogeking is on the cover for Voyage 5.
-

Sogeking and Robin would be ideal. Maybe a cp9 shot. Who knows. Im excited to see it though. When do we expect it? A month from now?
Darn, I had the new items page open on my phone too. :P haha. I really considered not getting 2nd day air this time. This set isn't as good and the extra 7ish dollars for shipping only really shaves a day off, if even.
-
The Voyage 4 cover came out in December, 3 months before the Voyage 4 release.
-
I have a feeling its going to be Sanji, Franky, Sogeking, with the CP9 unmasked. The reason I'm going with this is because most of the set is going to be focusing on those three characters and the CP9.
-
Hmm, well at least I'm able to get fourth voyage. I just preordered it a few days ago after being unable to buy anything for a month or longer here. Unfortunately, it seems the next set comes out in May, which will be a pretty bad month for me as well. I can't preorder it for a long time until I have some clue as to what my situation will be like.
-
Have they so far been creating new artwork for the voyage covers, or are they based on Japanese dvd cover artwork/promotional artwork?
-
All of the sets have been brand new artwork since the beginning of the Funimation dvd release.
-
Yep, all new art from Toei, though there are a bunch of times where Toei clearly uses poses from episdoes/manga volume covers/other One Piece stuff as reference for the poses the characters use. For instance, Season 4 Voyage 2's pose of Luffy was basically the exact same as the one he had on one of the episodes in the set.
-
Wouldn't it be cool if we got animated versions of the manga covers? Not necessarily for the voyages, but…
Chopperrules- sorry to hear about your financial woes. Good luck to you with them. At least you didn't just get a 153$ ticket for crossing a pedestrian crosswalk at 9pm on a college campus. cough
A mix between the piece 10 and piece 11 Japanese DVD covers would be fine. I definitely want to see sogeking. Sanji and robin and cp9 unmasked would be a good bonus. I worry about spoilers for cp9 unmasked though. Especially for those of you who won't know who they are until voyage four.
-

Well, that sounds like bull to me. oO
I'm currently unemployed, and that's what's killing me. There's nothing worse than having an expensive hobby and having no money to satisfy that hobby. And of course there are even worse issues that come with being unemployed on a basic survival level. Despite all this, I'll just hold out and buy them when I can. I definitely won't resort to bootlegging or anything like that, no matter how much I want to see the episodes.
-
Well the CP9 are on the cover of Season 4, Part 4 in masked outfit. It shouldn't be a big problem with them being unmasked on Season 4, Part 5.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Season 4, Part 5 is now up for preorder on Amazon for 27.99.
-
Rightstuf went and scared me with a 'we're working on it email'. Damnit. I hate those things.
-
Same here, haha. And right before I was gonna go to bed.
-
Here, why don't you take some DISAPPOINTMENT with you to your dreams.
