@pyromonki:
For example, Ichigo absorb ALL of Rukia's spirit energy. Something that's never happened before with a substitute shinigami. Kinda like a certain Quincy technique we just learned about. The reader just thought Ichigo's special in that regard.
The magic 8 ball granted Rukia the wish of being stripped of her powers because she was depressed as shit and wanted to escape responsibility, remember?
@pyromonki:
- Bach actually says he's the one stopping the bleeding. He was using Blut Vine.
You mean using the technique that Bach himself says wasn't awakened in Ichigo until he was in that quincy cage? A few days ago? A technique never even hinted at being in play for +500 chapters of Ichigo getting sliced and diced?
@pyromonki:
- Hollow Ichigo says he's Zangetsu, no one takes what he says at face value. Apparently, him and Zangetsu have been swapping places, whoever is the more dominant one came out of the sword.
You mean that one time Hollow Ichigo was trying to usurp control of Ichigos body, and had taken on the shinigami powers himself, and the whole training was clearly about beating the inner hollow into submission before it could assume control of all Ichigos powers? The training that was a textbook Vizard training session- Vizards being people who don't have quincies in their heads?
Also, Literally the first words out of hollow Ichigo in the entire series is "I HAVE NO NAME" not "I AM ZANGETSU"
@pyromonki:
But a key instance occurs. Bach tells Ichigo to find Zangetsu contradictory to what we just saw with the asuachi, it isn't very hard to do when you "know what you're looking for". Of course, at face value, it just seems as though Ichigo isn't spiritually trained.
When did he tell him this. Are you referring to the time Ichigo regained his spirit powers for the first time, and he found the box with the red scarf? The red scarf that totally confirms he was using shinigami powers all along?
@pyromonki:
- Bach talks about a technique where you can stand on the sky. Low and behold, that's how he shows up.
Everyone in the series stands in the sky.
@pyromonki:
- White and Bach merge to do the FGT, guess who absorbs who. Bach absorbs White in a similar fashion to Quincy.
They fuse by mutual consent. The being is litterally 50-50 zangetsu/inner hollow. Zangetsu doesn't assume control of the hollow. He turns into polygons himself and merges with the hollow. It is a WE, not an IT. There is no absorption.

@pyromonki:
- The FGT itself, Ichigo gains a HUGE powerup but loses his power forever. Sound familiar? It should. It's just like that Quincy wing move Ishida does.
The move is final Getsuga Tenshou.
Getsuga Tenshou is a shinigami move. Isshin used it.
It was taught to Ichigo by his shinigami dad.
The express conditions for the use of the move is that you sacrifice your SHINIGAMI power.

@f-trash:
My theory right now is that Zangetsu is half inner fullbring, half inner quincy. This way, Ichigo was able to create a real sword and channel some attacks with it and basically did the same stuff in fullbring as he did as a 'shinigami'. Ichigo never was a proper shinigami but instead only used his inherent reiatsu (since he is also part shinigami, part quincy) to create a shinigami uniform etc since he wanted to save Rukia so badly.
Basically Ichigo channeled his reiatsu in the sword created from his fullbring.
I'm sorry F-trash, but you're being nigh incomprehensible. Inner fullbring?
The Fullbring arc was absolute trainwreck of horsheshit carrying train carts, but at the very least, Fullbring was defined as "transmuting tangible objects of personal affection by fiddling with their souls". In Ichigos case, his badge. Gotten well after his dawn as a shinigami. His entire fullbring only worked as a pale imitation of his former powers, based off his memories of them.
But you say that Ichigo…before all that...made a sword to pour reiatsu into, USING reiatsu, in order to make himself a sword, because fullbring powers combined with quincy powers somehow allow you to do what only this one Swordsmith in the entire universe is capable of?
Ichigo grabbed the red scarf of his inner shinigami power. He got a uniform and a sword, like every other shinigami in existence. You can't just handwave it and say "Quincy powers imitated that shit", thats bull. Quincy powers are the manipulation of spiritrons in the atmosphere to perform energy attacks. Not pulling clothes and Zanpak spirits out your ass.
@f-trash:
So yeah, just an idea how to explain this mess. I just read the release spirit-thing, which I totally forgot and am not sure how to explain that (maybe because of Rukias powers/Ichigo using his hollow mask during all fights where he did release a spirit after getting his own powers, thus effectively using his shinigami reiatsu in his blade…?). I really want to see the next chapter since we do not even know if young Bach is a bad guy or not.
Because Ichigo would totally go Vizard in order to take out bottom tier hollows. He would even do it after the fullbring arc, where his powers didn't include the hollow mask.
@f-trash:
I think this is can be handwaved the easiest way: the sword Ichigo used was not his real soul cutter, thus did not materialize his real soul cutter spirit but instead whatever was manifested in the sword he used. Basically like what would happen if Ichigo used Renjis sword (Renjis spirit would have materalized, not Ichigos).
You can't use the swords of other shinigamis. Kubo himself stated this. You can only use your own sword.
@f-trash:
Assuming that Young Bach was indeed able to be a spirit in that sword, that is not farfetched.
WHY? Why can inner-quincies manifest swords just like soul cutters, and perform exactly as if they very soul cutter spirits, despite being inner quincies?! By that logic, the entire vandenreich army should be able to make imitation shinigami powers!
