Its a fantasy manga by Shiono Etorouji.
Overall its has a pretty decent storyline so far. Pretty fanservice-y. I got caught up a few weeks ago.
Its only 108 chapters in, so if you want to pick up on a decent fantasy manga I say go for it.

Really liked this manga. Too bad it was on hiatus for a super long time.
It's back now, but it seems to be a monthly manga at best so slow releases.
Sorry for necroposting but I just stumbled onto this earlier today. Yeah, I saw the name pop out here and there, but never gave it any attention.

Never read Berserk, so it doesn't tell me much. I accidentaly discovered some heavy spoilers back before I even started reading manga, so I'm not really drawn to it. I'll probably read it some day, though.
Of course, I know what to expect, but I was never much of a Seinen fan. Anyway, just want to know if the plot is coherent and satisfying or if the characters act like retards, is it too depressing, stuff like that.

MC as mostly has one expression for most of story so far its bit between annoyed or bored i guess,most side characters beside some funny/amusing expressions are quite meh,good portion are cliche characters.
Story is a mess to follow because its quite easy forget stuff in general ,the nudity and and the gore are inserted to distract the reader from the story.
Its not that fun to read most of the time its all i can say.

It has its excellent parts and its horrible parts. Maybe you will like everything. Is at least worth checking up!
I'm right now 5 chapters(or maybe more :P) behind so I don't know what is doing, but where I stopped it was meh, but bearable, but bad, but bearable. It was strange!
About your questions, there are some twists that I hated and also some parts where I think the characters acted like retards, but mainly is a good series. Other people liked all of those things and thought that it made all the sense in the world, so the best thing for you to do is analyse for yourself.
It indeed has a pretty depressing mood overall!
It's a bit monotonous imo. More shounen than seinen too, as far as I'm concerned. Ugly stuff doesn't really happen to the protagonists in real time.
Still read it whenever new chapters are posted, which is infrequently.

Just purchased the digital version of volume 0 and 1. The colour pages are really great and I'm glad that Yen press put in all of them. It is also nice that they included the german chapter titles. Having looked at the tranlsation notes at the end of the volumes, I just wanted to point out that denotation of the german word "Blatt" is actually "leaf". However, the term "Blatt" is used in a secondary meaning as a metaphor for the "shiv/blade of a tool" and is usually added to another word like in "saw blade" (Sägeblatt). "-blatt" is only used for "flattish blades" and not for all kind of "blades". Therefore, I would translate the english "Blade Master" to "Klingen-Meister" in german. Anyways, there are a lot more akward uses of ther german language as well as a few errors. But I guess you can't expect that mangakas have the time for a proper research on a foreign language.
I guess, native english speakers entcounter such cases on a daily basis ("Break Blade", Kubo Tite's english chapter titles etc.)

I actually suggested including a T.N. about how the title of the series is quasi-weird to my editor (just so people were aware that it's not really legit German), but they decided against that (which is fair enough- don't want to come across as bashing the author).
Also, didn't really have a choice on "Blatt Meister," as there was furigana pronunciation in the original text. 
Biased though I am, I'm honestly a fan of the series. You just can't think about it too hard
