Kuma's fruit really isn't as complicated as people make it to be. It's air pressure and allows him to "push" things, including himself. The fact that he can precisely push people through the air to arrive at specific destinations is most likely due to his cyborg brain, which probably calculates trajectory, wind resistance, etc. so that he can apply the exact amount of force to the individual or himself to arrive safely. He can also "push" physical harm out of an individual and into another person, as shown when he "pushed" out Luffy's pain and transferred it to Zoro.
Yeah, but if you can push "pain" and "fatigue", what else can you push.
LOL at the guy who seriously thinks that Sabo is dead, no body, Dragon's rescue, and the 3rd cup that was explicitely mentioned in a SBS to be "a third cup" in the grave of Ace.

That's a pretty big loophole. There was an entire page of her pieces coming together and reforming, meaning it was meant to be seen so we would question it. If it was just a "loophole", we'd just see her walking out of it as a human again.

Thanks to Aohige for pointing out that Doflamingo truly cares for his crew, which I think is especially important because so far every villain has treated their naka-mates like fodder.
But I think Oda is showing this side to Doflamingo to remind us how wrong we are. Doflamingo's crew would die for him, the same way I think the Strawhats would for Luffy. If it absolutely came down to it, the rest of the Mugiwara would gladly sacrifice themselves to see Luffy become the Pirate King. Ussopp sacrificing himself doesn't automatically mean that Luffy doesn't care for him, rather it shows Ussopp's unwavering loyalty to his crew and his cause. Oda, in a very neat way, is showing us just how devastating and soul-crushing the quest to become the Pirate King can be. I imagine Doflamingo's last monologue (either after defeat or prior to his escape) will go along the lines of:
Luffy, along your journey you will not only lose your brothers (Ace) but your nakama as well. Are you prepared?
And of course Luffy probably won't lose any of his crew because that's what he wants to protect most, but it gives Doflamingo this incredibly human side that we haven't seen from other villains/pirates with the ambition to become King. For that reason, I don't think it's time for Luffy and Doflamingo to fight just yet, but who knows. I really just can't wait until the next chapter comes out.

This was truly a great chapter. Doflamingo seems to be like an Anti-Luffy in my own sense. Both clearly care about their nakama/subordinates but do treat them very differently. Doflamingo doesn't take insubordination or failure very lighty as we've seen with Bellamy. While he does show affection for his partners in his rage, he also seems to be selfish. He wants people to do things FOR him in order to become the Pirate King. He wanted Monet to sacrifice herself for him. Luffy is selfish when it comes to meat, but he also wants to get stronger to protect his friends and he wants to be free which he assumes can be achieved by becoming the Pirate King. Both also like to smile a lot.(inb4 D.Oflamingo) Is he really a flamingo, or a hyena? Sure would love to know about his DF if he even has one. He appears to be able to fly, can sever limbs, and control people. I'd like to believe that he's a puppeteer that uses very thin but sturdy strings that can cut through flesh. Though something about his shades just gets to me.

that's what i always think about dofla but thanks to this thread (aohige in particular), i REALLY want to be wrong about this. i really want to see that dofla is not just a cold, money-oriented bastard who is willing to sacrifice anyone for his benefit. to see him saying his gratitude to his soon-to-be-dead nakama and the fact that monet said that she believe that dofla will be the pirate king, i think there is a good chance that dofla might be more than we can see now.

Sunny is actually right there on the island. It got brought in when everyone got captured, so they can get off without the Mini-Merry, i wouldn't be surprised if it's suddenly just back in the docking station the next time they need it though.

How is Baby-5 a weapon Logia? Even if this is true or not I cannot make any sense of it.
Anyway, I know this is the NW, but without Monet's detonation of the island, I believe that Dofla-'ll turn up and rescue both Vergo and Monet. Yeah, she's been stabbed in the heart but is that not an icicle that CC's wielding? I don't think it'll finish her off. Vergo's good as saved, because Sanji needs a fxcking re-match!
Meanwhile, General Franky's fxcking unstoppable. He's one of Luffy's greatest assets. Immensely powerful and amazingly skilled. I don't know how the other mid-tiers'll be able to even compete with him.
The Pink Knight rises, therefore the Alliance'll get it's (Straw)Heart broken. Do you think that the WG could've been investing in their own PK since his birth? Sounds like a long-shot speculation but everything seems to've gone his way, unlike any other pirate on the GL, what's more, he has it all: the slave trade; lesser pirate rings performing his bidding; the underworld - - all whilst maintaining the position of Shichibukai - - is this not entirely suspicious? I say this only because Crocodile tries to pull 1 stunt, admittedly a stunt that'd make him the most powerful man on the seas, but he gets taken out of the show, whereas, Dofla-'s managed all of these feats seemingly without questioning. Could he then therefore be the WG's 'Ace', i.e their own shot at the future PK?
Is this understandable?

DD seems to be an antagonist for this saga, along with big mam. if this is true, some ppl may be worried that how will luffy fight both a yonkou and a shichibukai. well, the thing is, the alliances are being introduced. with these alliances there are strong members among those crews and such, vice versa, big mam and DD will also have strong members in their crew. it isnt far fetched to believe that luffy DOESNT HAVE TO defeat both. luffy is strong yes and the main protagonist of the story but with such a wide array and interesting characters and possible alliances its possible some of these characters can defeat either big mam or DD.
captain kid and his alliance (along with luffy) are showing to be somewhat of threats to big mam which gives them a connection
law and luffy has their alliance and has wrecked some shit for DD so there goes another connection.
what if the yonkou (who everyone thinks is big mam (may or may not be, still awaiting 100% clarification)) is big mam... now luffy law and the kid alliance has a common threat. with 7 pirates who are said to be from the worse generation along with their crews goin against 2 MAJOR crews might be possible. this could lead to an all out brawl. which i would completely love.
anyway my main point is that luffy doesnt have to defeat both DD and big mam, with alliances coming into play someone else might get some play. and to show how it is possible, vergo (to me the most dangerous person on punk hazard) was never confronted by luffy at all. vergo went up against 3 diff ppl from 3 diff crews (smoker, law, sanji) and this was just one arc.
sn: i dont think DD will show up in time, and even if he does i dont think anything major(in comparison to kuma showing up) will happen.

Nothing, I guess. He would probably get pissed a little and blame Law for it. It's not like he expected Monet to live anyway considering he likes to punish those who fail him with death (even if the mission was to die for him).

Doflamingo expected all his subordinates to die except for CC, who would survive the blast. I don't think he gave much thought to the welfare of Buffalo or Baby5 either if they happened to get caught in the blast.

The last chapters moved Dofla into a total new light for me. Impressive how much development Oda put into just two chapters for Dofla.

On another note, have we any good theorys how DoFla is actually travelling over the sea?
We assume he has the string-fruit, but i dont really see how he can travel so fast over the sea without any device to use his strings. He gives me a "spiderman-impression" how he travels there, but for that he should have to use something flying over him to get his strings on. On the sea i also cant spot anything (like some bodies or something like that he uses as a raft)..so any ideas about that?Unrevealed_Loki/Rocks/Im-san_

Geppou seems to be an established and confirmed way to fly (even shown recently by Sanji and Vergo) and Doflamingo has certainly strong enough legs for it, considering that he attacked Crocodile with them.
And seriously, Geppou is the first thing I would want to learn if I had the body to support it.

I actually noticed that while translating. The sfx in that panel are "zu zu zu zu" which are used for deadly silence, right BEFORE something major happens. So it's NOT the case that the explosion happened, Robin noticed, and then we see it in the next panel. She noticed before it happened.
