So Blast is somehow recruiting strong individuals, most of which seem to be former opponents to Saitama? Neat.
Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)

-
The House of Evolution's Leomon; he was their second strongest fighter after Carnage Kabuto.
Hm, I think that the bells might be ringing a bit right now. But still not so sure if that's not my mind just playing tricks on me. Kabuto on the other hand is easy to remember.
-
Beast King is the lion head guy who attacked Saitama's appartment with the gorilla and some other fodders. Saitama killed him quickly, but he was probably extremely strong (and had better attitude than Carnage Kabuto, so more useful in a group).

Nope, the webcomic was much better, perfect even, IMO. I can confirm that now. Ruined for me. Cool to see Blast and what he's doing, but not right now, not at this point in the arc. It has nothing to do with Garou or the Monster Association, it's just distracting (also I hate character ressurecting, so I hope that wasn't Boros…). And Garou became a complete joke with the last panel. And I don't like his design, looks like your classic monster/demon clichè... fight was too short and Garou transformed way too quickly. And no serious table flip... I can't be more disappointed. I already was with Golden S and Platinum S, but now I really can't wait for this arc to be just over.
-
I did think Garou was going to have his “this is so unfair” despair moment and go on a rampage but not yet it seems or not at all?
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the changes and even redraws (some minor annoyances though). I treat the webcomic and manga as separate entities.
My prediction is for a short talk with Saitama that’s interrupted by the S Class Heroes. If the few still have steam
-

To be fair, the dude already took part in causing a massive tsunami, destroyed a volcano, changed the surface of the Earth and may have resurfaced Atlantis or something on the opposite side of the globe. What more do you expect of him?
Loved the chapter by the way. Garou progressively crossing out various means of agression from his list until he folds into despair is very appropriate. Looking forward to the short talk.

I like the webcomic but I don't see how you think it's much better. I mean…Garou's fight drags on until Saitama says he's getting weaker. It's kind of anticlimactic. The new version at least hints at this but is investing its energy into something bigger.
And I think it's awesome the way blast is being utilised. Especially with making use of characters that have been one-shotted. And that can't be underestimated because the series runs the risk of being boring by being predictable in every outcome against Saitama. This way they're offering more to the sorry other than constantly re-establishing that Saitama is a god tier character.

Sorry, I don't read the webcomic and I don't plan to. Because I don't see how it is better when it's just a bunch of badly drawn scribbles.
-
I think those copies of the past villains are from another dimension. They are heroes of their respective dimensions. In this perspective I wonder if there is a villain Saitama somewhere.:ninja:
-
Oh god that last page. Can't remember the last time a manga made me audibly laugh.
And yeah, I miss serious table flip and I enjoyed webcomic more story wise, but I've finally come to accept this as a different thing. Think of all the other cool stuff we got. Was disappointed in G/P sperm, he stole the show in webcomic but in return we got greatly expanded other cadre fights. Never would've expected fuhrer ugly to make for my favorite chapter. I should be happy in hindsight we got different stuff, instead of just a shiny remake.
Don't like Blast being brought in so fast though. They've got no patience and disicpline with throwing in random scenes and characters we don't need, I tell ya hwat.
Also I'm guessing that's just another member of Boros' species and just a lion-man alien.Yup definitely can't complain. We lost some stuff but the webcomic still exists and we got so much for it. Still the best manga around at the moment.
-
They did Bang dirty, that's the only thing that really annoys me in the redraw. I thought they could still redeem him later on so I didn't say anything, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
-

It unironically has some of the best paneling and composition I've seen compared to a lot of comics I've read, especially during the MA surface fight.

This guy said it better than I could.
Still I stay by what I said, it's cool we got all this other stuff over just a remake, as much as I would've loved that too.

I am just to fucking done with people saying the webcomic is better thinking the manga's purpose is not have people experience One Punch-Man for the first time.
Heck, way before this arc started, people who were familiar with the original said it to people to follow the manga cause they were doing an entirely different thing later on.
But now I can't do that in peace cause ever since the first major change appear, a bunch of "The original was better! Perfect! Stop reading this and read the webcomic instead!" folks started to complain nearly every new chapter.
I mean, there is a reason we have a thread to the original webcomic in the first place. Fuck!

So the comparison would have to be done in the other thread… good idea.
I understand you. Let me put it this way: I haven't read the original and if it happens that it's better than the redrawn I wouldn't read it neither (I don't care that much). Better to invest my time in other series... I guess that's why to read comparison here is so boring to me.
-
I can understand people getting upset with the whole the original was much better (Even though I agree) since it's a constant thing
But saying the webcomic is just a bunch of scribbles is definitely gonna get you criticism
especially since it's actually pretty well drawn when it comes to angles and composition, and the same can be said about his other series Mob Psycho 100
But fine, I'll stop complaining that the original was better but can we at least agree that One is generally talented artist in certain areas (at least I think so)

Well, your wish will be granted soon. Because when we're done with monster association we're going into territory webcomic readers aren't as passionate about (not because what's come so far is bad mind you, MA was just so iconic). We're also diverging from the webcomic, so we're going into relatively new or totally new territory for us too.

! I don't know about that, I think Saitama vs Tatsumaki was pretty lit tbh
-
So every chapter since the forum went down was just amazing.
-
The manga turned the series into the very thing it use to be parodying: Generic shounen "power of friendship" and power scaling nonsense. All those anime tropes that it was poking fun at are now being done unironically. I'd say it's crept into FMA vs FMA:Brotherhood territory, but at least all the goofy changes and additions in the first anime were congruent with what the series was supposed to be about. This is more like zombie simpsons territory.
I'm extremely done with this and hoping the webcomic doesn't get trashed the same way.
-
Saitama doing Serious moves is certainly a thing.
It's also being implied on Twitter a few weeks back that Murata will be ending the series after this fight rather than continuing to adapt the webcomic? He's been at it for 10+ years so understandable, especially escalating this fight like he has, but...
Though native Japanese speakers say his statement isn't quite that definitive, and when he says "series ending" he might just mean "storyline" so... who knows?
-
Goddammit, I've been waiting for the Psychic sisters storyline for ever...am I gonna have to read the webcomic now?
Or maybe a new artist will pick it up but it just won't be the same without Murata's amazing art.
-
Being robbed of a well drawn adaptation of what was supposed to immediately follow this arc...
Yeah that hurts me.
I've been waiting a long ass time for
and now it seems like that's not on the agenda. -
I'm surprised Murata could help himself given how much he loves Fubuki lol
-
Again, native speakers say he might just eman "story arc" rather than "series", similar to Oda being on the final "arc" but we don't really have confirmation either way.
-
New chapter RAW
https://tonarinoyj.jp/episode/3270375685435178676 -
Phew, looks like Murata is just taking a month break and is still going to be continuing the series. I knew he couldn't resist the Fubuki arc, dude has drawn more covers of her in skimpy outfits and bikinis then anything else lol
-
-
Huh did they ever reveal what happened to that psychic girl, the who that was controlling the monsters? I kinda lost track of her.
-
She ran away I think, it was kinda hard to tell. We should see more of her in the future
-
I am surprised this chapter followed the original almost beat for beat
-
Did the redraw version just skipped the battle with the Living Water thing entirely? I can't remember that fight at all
-
In the redraw, the water became an ocean, Saitama punched from atop an aircraft carrier and the waves pushed everyone to the same place for the Saitama vs. Garou fight.
-
@puffing-cinema No, there were several fights with Evil Natural Water, but he got offed when during the Saitama's aircraft surfing.
-
I was afraid they'd leave Black Sperm dead, with all the changes they've made. Being in the "official" version is a good sign for my boi
-
@SomeRandomGuy Couldn't agree more
I'm totally onboard with the webcomic deviating and becoming a different story. I was digging the earlier ending where Garou just sits down and politely talks with Saitama lol
But then they changed their mind again for the millionth time and they gave us the worst thing possible... And then they still force a square peg into a round hole by copiyng the original ending, which makes no sense anymore with how different Garou is.Character motivations make no sense and are boring: garou is just brainwashed by god so has no actual agency, time travel nonsense conveniently changes their personalities because plot demands we still have the original ending.
Angst... Saitama power graph... it's become what it was parodying.
I was loving this until Garou joined above ground. It was really an improvement over the webcomic. Cadre chapters were fantastic. -
Chapter 172
https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/HS2FlXe/1/1/ -
I forgot he was class A
-
Nice! For a minute there I thought Saitama would raze the entire complex ^^;
-
That sounds kinda like Mortal Kombat xD
-
I wonder if he’ll have a super overpowered character like Saitama or Mob
That’s kind of his calling card

New Chapter
https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/Bx4wJ63/1/1/ -
Saitama was friggin' savage this chapter.
-
Huh, did that one guy with the eyebrows withstand Sweet Mask's aura just because he was too stupid to know what was going on?
-
Oh man I can’t wait for Versus to come out, it comes out the 26th right?
-
Anyone know where to read One’s new manga
-
@Shiebs Here.

@pariston_hill thank you
