How about you get the hell out of there.
You didn’t understand kirei’s post. Stop being defensive.
Also, if you don’t like one punch man, then why are you reading it?

I expect something like Orochi fully recovers and gets finished off by garou to show garou surpassing orochi.

Possibly, to show the growth of Garou, even though it's a bit predictable. I mean, who actually believe that Orochi just died like that? And if he's still alive, the only one who could bring him down would be Garou, since Saitama already fought him.
Although, what if Tatsumaki finds him? That could be a fun fight…
Animating this chapter will be a nightmare.

I do, considering he's filler character that didn't exist in the original story.
And it's not really "just like that." He got killed by the main character. The main character who's whole shtick to is one-shot everything. That he got a whole chapter full of crazy levels of art dedicated to the "fight" is more than enough of a send off for the character.
My roommate is really cool. But he does that thing …..he reads manga chapter on his phone...in less than a minute for a chapter.
I feel really bad for the mangaka drawing such amazing panels for people who read like that.
I myself had believed Orochi would be strong enough to take multiple attacks…and that could still end up being the case...but I do like the situation that him being dead creates. You had powerful monsters swarming around this legend whose power is the only reason this coalition is possible...now he's dead, and chaos is completely inevitable. Now to just wait for Garo to surpass Orochi...

Thankfully this part likely won't be butchered in the anime for years .
I like a whole bunch of animes that do not have an amazing animation. This has never been a huge problem.
But one of Murata's appeal is to mix One's original "bad" drawing style with his own amazing skills.
This wouldn't work aswell if his drawing skills were just good, it has to be amazing.
The season two is just ok at best, not amazing. The contrast doesn't work for me.
Nuuuuu, Bakuzan vs Gouketsu was cut.

! If we go by the manga vs one, maybe garou will eat part of his corpse
Yeah, the direction this is going, there's no way that Orochi fight will turn out any kind of satisfying.
Despite all aditions, the manga is still following most of the original's content. Orochi never had any hope for a meaningful role. He wasn't even the monster association leader. It was revealed a long time ago that he was created by Gyoro Gyoro, who used him as a personal weapon.
Just to be clear, meant anime recreation of it. Just that one small panel of snake heads spinning while shooting beams is more kinetic than anything I've seen in season 2.
I kind of believe the second season will end with Elder Centipede. It's going to be 12 episodes again, right?
12 episodes and todays episode 8 ended in chapter 74, and next week should cover up to 78 at least because Sonic appeared in the preview.
Orochi should have shown his martial art skills ^^
@Don:

He tried, sort of… theres a panel where Orochi attacks by using water stream rock smashing fist with his dragon fingers but Saitama just "nopes" it and destroys that hand/arm.

I'm sorry, but i won't believe this, never. I read the webcomic, i know Orochi wasn't in it, but in this version (CANON version) he's such an hyped up character, for so many chapters now, that i think that the only good way to go would be against Garou, such a character can't be dead after a short (amazing) chapter with just a "normal" punch from Saitama, kinda like if he was on par with the Sea King or Carnage Kabuto. If he died like that, almost like a normal monster, i would see it like a waste of a lot of potential. Like, wouldn't it be cool to actually see if Tatsumaki can hold her own against him? Or a re-match with Garou where he kills him easily to show his growth? I can't believe that One just decided to kill him off like that, i mean, Phoenix Man received more respect than him… a guy with a bird costume... even Elder Centiped had the honour to go down with a SERIOUS punch from Saitama (not because he really needed a serious punch by the way, it just looked cool) after having an awesome fight, almost winning against Genos, Bang and Bomb togheter!
There wasn't really much interesting about Orochi other than his design. He was a puppet and a presumed prototype for Garo in the future, and didn't really have a personality. Certainly no Boros. What should come after his death should have more potential than just another scene of him beating on heroes before Saitama could arrive.
Would you guys say the original webcomic is worth reading? A lot of what kept me hooked on this manga was the art, so the drawings of the webcomic give me pause.
The original looks weird but it's not badly drawn. It has a consistent artstyle, porportions, etc. The action is fluid and the pacing is better. You could try reading it from the Boros arc or so to see for yourself if you like it without a risk of spoiling if you don't.
I like the original comic more because the pacing is a lot faster. But I think this version is sort of caught up anyway so idk if it's worth it. The art is also a massive downgrade, but it has it's charm especially with saitamas gimmick of beating incredibly strong monsters with simple moves.
Edit: Actually I'll echo the suggestion of the poster above suggested of reading the prior arcs to not spoil urself
Both are good
Art style is intentionally shitty given that the art is worse than what ONE can draw in Mob Psycho but ONE is also a goddamn master of fight choreo and paneling such that it's incredibly easy to follow action in fights.
The art style of the original highlights the more comedic side of this series in comparison to the Murata version which highlights the action side.

Dear One,
King's bluff is too strong. Pleas don't ever nerf it.
Sincerely,the reader.
King vs that monster was like a Detective Pikachu reference.
Also RIP Orochi
Nope. You just say it, and move on like a boss.
So King has Conqueror's Haki? Ahahah i'm dying! Epic chapter!
Oh btw… yeah, ok, Orochi is really dead...... unless he can REGENERATE! A power that not even Gyoro Gyoro knows so she thinks he's dead!
Well as long as there's a body part still remaining, who can know for sure.
I lost it at Ditto's "The fake bones I created are piercing through my vitals!"
You don't think about these risks when you start your career as a shapeshifter. Shouldn't morph into someone whose build greatly differs from yours!
Sorry but I find Gary Stu to be boring.

How about you get the hell out of there.
What are you up to ?
I mean not even giving the one supposed to be strongest among MA a serious punch as the killing punch is too much.
Even elder centipede get the honour of serious series.
Pretty sure he didn’t understand your original post and thought you were making fun of him for taking a “not even serious series” seriously. The not serious series being One Punch Man.
Just let it go.
Even elder centipede get the honour of serious series.
That, too, was also filler. As it turns out, when you start inserting a lot of new characters and events into an already established narrative you tend to subvert its message, undermine character development/relevance and break the flow of it in general.
Filler
Content purposefully written by the original author and even basically storyboarded other than how fights are done with the intent of expanding the content of the series
hmmm
I'm pretty sure the original version isn't that holy to the point every change made by the author it's a blasphemy.

It isn't filler, but the webcomic had far better flow with the Garou arc. I haven't enjoyed many of the changes, due to how much they've detracted from the streamlined nature of the Garou arc and Garous character growth throughout. It just feels like a lot of the bombastic extra plotpoints are muddling the main story just for the sake of showcasing well drawn anime/manga battles. They have very little weight compared to the webcomic. It's not bad… but the webcomic did it better.
idk sometimes I like the new material and sometimes I could care less, don't get me wrong, the art works is always great, but I liked how flashy flash and child emperor stomped there demon level opponents, the extended fights look great but just felt ahhhhhh, I mean I thought the whole point was to showcase the difference between Demon and Dragon Level in the first place
Saitama wanting to learn and see martial arts seemed out of character for me to
But damn I love everything with Orochi….. like seriously damn!
Its unlikely the webcomic flow would work as well for this version anyway.
Pheonix man fight was super dragged out though
Edit:I loved the zombieman fight chapter in this version for example
The S class heroes could use one or two chapters fights, child emperor got like 5, or at least it felt like 5. Zombieman got one and was awesome.
Who would win, OP King or OPM King?
OPM King, obviously.
OP King lacks the King Engine

How dare you insult the strongest man in the world by even asking such a question
One Punch-Man Volume 20 cover.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Volume 19 + 20 covers!!
Really dope cover art there, especially love the blade shine on Atomic's face.
Volume 21 clearly gonna add another group shot to it.
but to the left and not the right to avoid putting saitama in the shot
Below is another option; those look like Tatsumaki's hands next to the volume number.
Wow, that means at least 8 if not 10 part mosaic.
