He is powerful because he has a good amount of DC, what he lacks is durability.

MB lacks the AOE Genos has for example but MB beats Genos in the durability aspect IMO.

So since is rather convenient that metal bat sister just happens to be in this city and finds her brother while there's a giant monster destroying the city, I'm guessing those three guys that are with the centipede kidnapped her, has a way of currency trading just in case (like if he somehow defeated centipede for example).
Which if it's true it pretty much means they are good as dead. lol

Oh wowt you are right. It's easy to downplay Genos' sometimes, which is why he gets mistakenly used as a measuring stick for how strong each monster is.q

I just realized the extra scenes with Stinger and Lightning Max actually kinda made me care about those characters. They're genuinely good, like Licenseless Rider. Nice.

So the only ones I don't really care about are the ones in episode 4 and Pri Pri Prisoner.

I like Stinger.
He was genuinely pretty awesome in that Cat extra chapter along with his buddy Lightning Genji (not to be confused with Lightning Max)

Stinger may be an attention whore with the public, but he does always rush to the scene and be one of the first there.

Elder Centepide will die very soon.

Garou is not danger to people around but Elder Centepide is so as badly as Metal Bat lacked technique to protect himself against Garou matrial arts he will certainly accomplish something before going down. That something would be to show off how physically strong and effective he is against real Monsters.

My expectations towards next chapter.

Over the course of the manga's run, there's been like three doujinshi worth of material that were redrawn due to not passing ONE's standard.

He said the editor doesn't really take part in their process, so I guess ONE is doing both storyboard and editor work basically.

He also said the current story is (obviously) entirely ONE's script, with no inputs from Murata.

He's clarifying that he doesn't have an influence in any of the characterizations and directions of the new material.
I assume there are still many people that think it's his preference that's being reflected, and probably gets tweets and shit.

Unlike, say, Murata coming up with the idea to shoot Saitama to the moon for example.

You folks love to give creators shit ya know.

It's natural that he's bringing that up in the same chit-chat of explaining that he has to redraw Metal Bat and whatnot until the depiction satisfies what ONE has in his image.

He'll take down the dragon level, beat Garou to the point of death, but Garou recovers, and trashes MB. He'll leave his sister alone cause he doesn't fight civi's.

Garou will be blown away by Elder Centepide rampage and Metal Bat will land a fatal blow on EC before he goes KO.

This way even as by pure fighting matrial arts skill MB i inferior to Garou he will be shown as stronger and in general more competent against Monsters.

I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Let's not forget all those chapters that got released, and THEN got redrawn. If there have been two finished versions, Murata has been happy to release both versions for people to read. It's impossible to know just how far along he was in the process of these various pages when they got trashed.

Editing is usually done based on a name, or a rough draft. Changing that wouldn't even merit mentioning. That would be the other extreme.

And we don't really know what specifically doesn't meet One's standards, but I doubt it's the quality of the art. We've seen the entire storyboard of a chapter change with a second version before. One probably changes his mind about what he wants to do with added scenes after seeing it begin to come to life and sleeping on it, and things like that.

Metal Bat imo, already proved his worth, he took two demons, started fighting a dragon, and even being hurt still held against Garou. Garou is very strong, and he seems to be particulary good to deal with the likes of Metal Bat, TTM and Darkshine, that rely on raw strength rather than refined fighting techniques,

! later on even Saitama(while not using full power) misses quite a few hits.

Imo that's the difference between Boros and Garou the way i see, Boros is sheer destructive power, Garou while strong, relies on advanced martial arts techniques to fight.

I imagine it's an interpretation issue, not an art issue.
Murata may draw a scene interpreted differently than what ONE had in mind, and that's probably where the scrapping comes from.
Sort of like the author-director relationship in Shirobako, but without the annoying useless editor getting in the way.
