I completely forgot that the Hero Association revamped the HQ into an iron fort after that fight. Must be because of what happens next.
But man, we're finally moving on to some more shenanigans

Isn't it funny how Genos always gets rekt in every single arc?
That's just how he powers up. Every broken piece must be replaced and upgraded!
doesnt he get stronger every time he gets defeated, like most saiyans do?
doesnt he get stronger every time he gets defeated, like most saiyans do?
You're thinking of a different character.
Well he does… But not in the saiyan way unless saiyans pretty much replace every piece of their body.
Still gets rekt tho
! oh unless you're thinking of the next villain though
The King engine is roaring.
Finally, I had been waiting for this.
It's time for the strongest to shine.
All hail King !
The king arc yes! This will be good.
The King engine! Hahahaha that will never get old.
Hey, did we ever get a real explanation of the King Engine?
Personally, I like to think that it's just the sound of him shaking in his own boots. Teeth rattling, that kind of thing.
Hey shut up you nonbeliever! The King Engine is the sound King makes when he's preparing to destroy a monster! Rumors have it that any monster who's heard this sound has never lived to tell the tale.
You shall be judged for such heresy :C
The King is here! Finally!
He's not the king we deserve, but the one we sue want to have! :D
You are literally ruining it for everyone who didn't read the original one guys.
Guys, guys, my bad. I got it all wrong.
He was just shivering with excitement over the prospect of getting that new dating sim~~~
Everything we're saying is stuff you can infer from this single chapter. Zealous? Sure. Enthusiastic? Why not. But whether or not you read the ONE version or not shouldn't be the point
'Sides, if you can make that much noise while simply standing your ground, then you are clearly a force to be reckoned with.
All hail the king!
Are you guys spoiling it for me?
Only if you can't infer from the text
Mmmm…ok
Puts down butcher knife
@Purple:

Benjammin told me that this aura, or" King engine" will remain an unexplained ability.
Zym told me that this will be some sort of running gag.
Just stop guys, really. Even if it seems minor for you, people will form expectations based on your posts. Thank you.
I'm not lying that the reaction to King was almost exactly the same when reading the ONE version and that the character was picked up almost immediately without any more information than what is available other than maybe a bit of foresight with the RAWs. The reaction that it's spoilered really here is only differentiated by the perception that it's in reference to stuff that can be found in the ONE version
We already saw the King Engine back during the S-class meeting though so saying that it's a recurring thing isn't a spoiler.
There is an easy cure for the spoilers. Everyone should be reading the ONE version too
. It's a win-win situation.

Not really, while ONE's original version is superbly enjoyable to read and his choreography, distances and faces are often masterful the work and amazing art that Murata produces, specially seen in last Alien invasion arc demonstrated almost unseen scale and vision.
I really think that Murata does great justice upon OPM and I would been much more amazed by recent chapters if I wouldn't had myself spoiled by reading One's original chapters (ONE is perhaps among best authors there is)
To me the murata version is kinda like the anime of ONE's version. Spiced up in a few ways but both have a lot of different charm in different areas. Their respective art styles really are well suited for that particular focus but murata's version has a lot of pizzazz that makes it really enjoyable to see the stuff again as if it were in a different medium

I think the easy cure is to avoid this place altogether. I thought the seperate threads would help, but this feels like going to the theater with friends who already watched the movie. Terrible experience all around, and I'm sure those who had the pleasure before understand exactly why.

I don't have friends so i wouldn't know (i live under a bridge that has wifi) but there IS some "We know you don't" atmosphere in the thread. That's why i've never posted here even if i'm a big fan of OPM. I think the recommendation of staying away is the best one b: I will do that.
In the end though it kinda fits the manga-anime example though. You'll have your anime only viewers and then you'll have people who view both, and in the end the manga readers will have an edge and some preexisting excitement for certain parts they're anticipating. While I'm sure we can reach a compromise as long as we set the standard, that sort of anticipation will always exist for a secondary adaption.

Just stop ruining it for the guys who don't read the original one. Problem solved.
What's even your problem guys? Spoiler are treated very serious in this forum, why just don't stop you it?
You party poppers, ruining the joy that the strongest brings us with his mere presence.
You're all just jealous of his King engine.

If they told you, then you must've asked or implied your wish to know in a way or another.
And as far as i remember in this thread there were only some slight slips here and there by clueless people, it's almost always spoiler free.
Luckily when Murata catches up One, this will write the script and Murata will make the drawing… and the threads will be merged. I see it in my crystal ball.
Just stop ruining it for the guys who don't read the original one. Problem solved.

I don't even read the original one! I'm the one that just asked if they were spoilering things.
Jeez…
Pretty sure Cutty's the only one who interpreted your post that way, Pris.
I'm definitely the major offender, here. I'd like to somehow edit my original post, but it was expounded upon by others immediately and I think that it may be too late to fix in such a manner. sweats
Go read the ONE version, guys. It's _awesome_.
So I hear in Game of Thrones there's a red wedding?
Seriously guys. Thread was broken in two for a reason. Keep original series spoilers out. Same concept as any other series that has a manga/anime split, or book/television split.
In this case going "oh hey, its a brand new character! …that I happen to already know a lot about and will tease details of" really is going against the intent of the split. If you wanna talk about the original series which is years ahead, then.. go to that thread.

That's the thing with these posts, there were no details teased and everything said can be concluded from this chapter alone as purple hermit said.
It's just the other guys drawing conclusions from super vague comments, how do you even think of an aura from shaking boots or whatever ?
Seriously, the reactions here are overly dramatic and in no way comparable to the game of thrones thingy.
Well, whatever, if Ben and Zym's posts are the line, then it's easy enough to meet that line, really, so that's not a problem. Just talk about what happened in the chapter without any sense of a hint of the future.
I don't even read the original one! I'm the one that just asked if they were spoilering things.
Jeez…
Oh man im really sorry I quoted you wrongly and did not check this thread since then. Sorry again.
The spoilers have been fairly minor non spoilers, but the general back and forth tone of "Oh, the King arc is starting" followed by chatter about the character that seems very familiar, casual, and as if referring to an inside joke, all implies a lot of future knowledge and starts to skirt the line a tiny bit. (In this case I personally don't care at all since it is all so minor.)
Yes, pretty obvious anyone ranked that high is probably a big deal… but this series also has weird turn arounds and goes against expectations quite often.
So, how about that world ending prophecy, huh? I've been eyeing Saitama a little suspiciously ever since I remembered that he is bored out of his mind.
And that scene from the moon where he's looking back at the whole planet saying, "Now, this looks like a real fight!" o.O (this is a Murata-version-only kinda thing, IIRC)
I didn't get the feeling he was enjoying the fight with Boros neither; so it's possible that he will stop his boring if he meets some stronger enemy or simply by doing something different than fighting. But I think the prophecy will never be fulfilled.
One thing Saitama wants more than anything is a fight where he is fighting someone stronger than himself, a fight where he has to give his all and fight with tooth and nail. So far in series all enemies has failed his expectations, Boros being latest.
I think Saitama already forgot about the "I want a stronger foe". Boros tried hard enough to earn Saitama's respect but he never went all out.
I think he is happy with being a mid-range professional hero right now. He seeks no thrill or fame on his fights.
I dunno about that, Baldulf. You don't forget your dream that easily, especially when you've dedicated that much of your life to it.
Saitama's still looking for a thrill, just of a different kind than "I can take your punch". I think that he's looking for a battle of ideologies.
