At 48. Jesus Christ. I really hope this wasn't a drug overdose.
Okay, thus begins the celebrity death cycle of three. Who are the next two?
There's a post saying she's fine, but it looks to be dated from September.
Everyone's citing a publicist.
Looks like it might be real.
Dammit.
Are you sure we're not still on the last cycle of three? Wouldn't that be easier for everyone?
But wow, yeah thats pretty young.
.
Wow. Didn't see that coming. That's a real shame. R.I.P. Whitney.
Well, that's a shame, indeed. R.I.P. Whitney.
D :
This feels like a dream.
Dammit. We lost a talent and awesome person today. I don't think I'll be able to hear some of her slow songs without crying now for a little while now.
In the start of this week, a brazilian musician also died. This is such a big loss.
Nobody, nobody had a voice like you, Whitney. Damnit.
And to think I thought Bobby Brown would kick the bucket long before Whitney
Just heard about this a couple minutes ago.
Music world has lost a true legend RIP Whitney Houston.
Holy shit, this is the LAST thing I thought I'd see checking AP tonight.
We don't know the where's, the why's, or the how's just yet. All we know is that we lost one of the most talented women of the 1980's-1990's, a voice that can never be duplicated or replaced. I only hope she's found peace after a tumultuous life of up's and down's…
R.I.P Whitney Houston
EDIT: Whitney was found at the in a fourth floor hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the same hotel where Clive Davis is going to have his pre-Grammy party tonight.
Honestly, not surprised at all. She brought it on herself. She's allowed drugs to wreck her life for so long, it was a truly sad descent.
I feel really weird, it happened to me just like with michael jackson, some days before their deaths I was thinking about buying their cds (Thriller for MJ and Greatest Hits for WH) without buying them at the end
My condolences to anyone distraught by this news. My mom loved her singing.
48? Seems really young. I guess we'll hear about her death investigation soon. I hope it isn't an OD.
Wow….can't say I was expecting this, but thinking back on some recent news I heard of her, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. She was very talented, but very troubled....she will be missed.

Good point. We just lost Etta James a couple weeks back, so Whitney would be number 2. Somebody guard Aretha Franklin and Betty White.
oh crap :/, RIP Whitney.
Great. I really hope it isn't because she OD'ed. He obvious talent aside, the last ounce of respect I have for that woman might be gone if that is so. Nonetheless I hope she finally found peace in death and I hope her family gets theirs as well.
Such a shame…...may she rest in peace.
