@AfroPower:
In the end it would be better to call it "Movie Directors Rap Battle"
Then the reveal that there's 5 rappers wouldn't be a reveal or shocking.
-
Artists vs Tmnt is growing on me. Movie Directors battle is too. I love how every one takes at least one shot each at Michael Bay until he actually appears lol.

Me too. I didn't feel Spielberg/Hitchcock's lines on the first watch but I've grown to appreciate them after rewatching over and over while looking up the references. I totally thought the chocolate syrup thing was random but nope.

LOL! Dude, that was Rhett and Link playing Lewis and Clark! Awesome!

They're pretty regular on ERB if they're schedule is clear.
-
The most common Guest artist is Zach Sherwin (Einstien, Doc, Sherlock, Scrooge, Stephen King, and Egon) followed by a three way tie with George Wtsky, DeStrom Power, and Rhett & Link who've all been in three battles.
-
So these both happened while we weren't paying attention.
-
Didn't liked the beat that they used for the first one. The second one is meh, it's fine but meh.
-
Not sure why they removed Terminator's glasses.
-
Hahaha. Robocop/Terminator was pretty good.
They should have matched Houdini against David Blaine. It would have been funnier.
-
Terminator VS Robocop was good. I liked the magic tricks implemented in Houdini VS Copperfield but that's about it.
-
Utter win. Especially what happens in the later part of the video.
-
That was majestic.
-
lol best one of the season xD
-
Easily the best one in a while. DeLaGhetto was Kim Jong Il right?
-
Probably my favourite yet. Confucius was so good
-
"WHAT IS WINNING"
lollllll
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
thought the three chinese guys were gonna call Socrates out on calling himself the father when they all three were from earlier
-
I definitely loved the Robocop vs Terminator one, mainly because of Robocop's verses. :)
-
The last lines of the easterners did it for me. SunTzu is so fed up with the other two, especially Laotze's bowl verse. This "Uuugh" is so great
And yeah, they did philosophy way earlier.
-
Ow… that philosophy rap... <3

With Socrates only about a century or two, but earlier is earlier.
The other two guys are hyper-modern compared to the other four. -
True that. And instead of flashy Nietzsche they could have picked some better and more down to earth german philosopher like Kant or Hegel but the former is by far more known I think, so that's ok.
Also I've found my new favourite verse: „These white boys getting burned, cause guess what, now the Sun's out“
I've not figured out all the other verses but this one has, intentionally or not, at least three meanings. Dang I love this  -
If they really wanted to go the distance they could have chosen Machiavelli.
-
Pretty cool match up
and only one battle to go till next season -
how the hell haven't they done one with Mussolini yet, there's so much to make fun of him for
-
That was awesome.
And hey! History learned! I didn't even know who Shaka Zulu was . . . . . .
@Monkey:

Well who would you pair him against?
-
Well who would you pair him against?
Haile Selassi, emperor of Ethiopia which Mussolini invaded and occupied before WW2.
But nevermind that, because you would know him better as a the main religious figure in Rastafarianism!
-
That was awesome.

Once the battle had finished, I was on my way to wikipedia already. Felt weird not to know that guy. I might have to freshen up my history knowledge a bit.
-
I think most people only know him because of the Civilisation games like me >.>
-
I knew who Zulu was. I watch History Channel. :3

I know him cause my mom always talked about him when I was young, then the movie came out with everybody being half naked… yeah didn't learn much.

. . . . . . the only Rastafarian figure I know is Bob Marley.

Never played Civilization.

If you want to learn more about him, I highly recommend checking out Extra History's series on the Zulu empire. They're really informative, and just all around a great way to learn about history in an engaging context. Naturally it's not the most in-depth resource, but it's as good a starting point as any if you're interested.

A new one's out.
I cry everytime :(
-
Oh man. Both sad and hilarious. (although I wouldn't call Henson a good rapper)
That wasn't the finale, was it?
-
Yep it was. Personally I really loved it.
-
At first I didn't get why they were doing a battle between Stan Lee and Jim Henson. Then Disney showed up and, ah, yes, it all makes sense.
And yes, very emotional.
-
That was awesome. good finale.
-
Would've been a good opportunity to bring vader back, or maybe just George Lucas.
-
Oooh! I thought of a good one.
J.K. Rowling vs. Mary Shelley.
-
Disney was kind of scary. Or at least made me uneasy with the finale.
-
Yeah Disney was kinda dark.
I was expecting more for this battle.
Not only because it was the final. But because they could have added lots of people / characters in it. -
Yeah Disney was kinda dark.
I guess they wanted to show the other side to the idealized Disney. Like with Edison. And that sure worked better than ever before. Disney freaked me out with that build of Stan Lee & puppet man. They presented the powerful corporate that gets what he wants quite well.
I was expecting more for this battle.
Not only because it was the final. But because they could have added lots of people / characters in it.I think it was good. Not the best but good anyway. I would have expect the philosophers episode for a finale.
Seems to me they started with the Disney idea and found who would get the most sympathy with the audience.

Best Season finale is of course still Season 2 with all the major political Russian figures of the last 100 years appearing. But I preferred this one a lot to Season 3 Nina Turtles finale. That one was fun, but way too short. I feel like Michelangelo etc. really deserved more spotlight than a few lines each.

I'm gonna pretend the directors was the season finale, because it worked better than a Mid-SEason finale.

Bonus episode!
