how did I miss this thread. and it started on my birthday none the less
holy, I see where your coming from, but I just don't see the same things as negatively as you do here. I personally thought the 3rd phoenix was the best. It was the first one I played. Not that the others weren't awesome as well, but they did not impress me like the 3rd one did. And I liked godot. pout Though your idea of the jury system with the gradation, A, B, C, etc, sounds really good.
Yeah, I'm just nitpicking. The thing is they changed a lot of stuff to make it more familiar with the american audience, hence your not buying it's setting.
I just think it's really dumb to think that staying true to it's original source material would make it less appealing or understandable. It's also denying the audience to learn something about another country.
I don't know it's not major just really annoying to me.
normally I'm on board with you, but I REALLY liked how they localized everything. I thought they did an awesome job. I think if they kept all the japanese stuff in, it just wouldn't have the same meaning for a westerner. A lot of the jokes would go over our head. Just like, a lot of the funny english names would make no sense to someone who is japanese, or some of the jokes would be something only a westerner would get.
I wouldn't mind a continuation of PW or AJ, but I was thinking, it would be kinda neat if they did a story that was a play on words with "phoenix" and have PW's career rise from the ashes of what happened in AJ. What IS his name in Japanese again, and does it even reference anything near what phoenix wright does in english?
