Okay, in this upcoming week's chapter (655) there's a mention of Deep Blue in the ads on the cover page.

One Piece Deep Blue is indeed the fifth fanbook, a "deeper" version of Blue's character index.

Shueisha announced new One Piece book called "One Piece Blue Deep", on sale 2nd March.

Speaking of Databooks, anyone know where I can see a translation fo the last/current one?

I've still not found a full translation for the Green(?) Databook. Mangastram has only 3 posts on it and no more. Using Google I found someone had a very brief summary of it on his Facebook. Besides the info given on Mangastream he saus there was a cut scene from Water 7 between Garp and Usopp, where Usopp asks if a pirate named Yasopp is alive. Garp qucikly figures out Usopp is his son and says that "Chaser Yasopp" is doing well. Garp then tells Usopp to take care of his grandson. I can't help but wonder if its still canon although we don't see it. If so, it tells us two things, Yasopp's epitheth is "Chaser" and that the marines (at least Garp) knows that Usopp has family on the Redhair pirates crew, therefore giving the Strawhats another connection to a Yonkou.

Yeah just like Daddy the Father (aka Daddy Masterson) a scene that was focused on Usopp but got cut due to time constraints /issue too long. I've not seen if anyone asked if the cut scene was cut-deleted fully from story or if it was cut-just happened off panel. I'm hoping it was jsut moved to being off panel. … I really should stop procrastinating and write that question to SBS....

I think it is considered Canon - since it is in the same aspect of Usopp's Goggles which was also cut for time but shown in a sketch.

Now thats cool! I want see someone refer to "Chaser Yasopp" in the manga and see what Marines think of Usopp's reation to a top member of the Redhair Pirates. Speaking of which, anyone notice that in the anime when they were at the funeral of Whiteberd and Ace, after Shanks boarded his ship, he was followed by Benn, the 1st Mate, then Yasopp then Lucky Roo?? I can't help but wonder if thats the order of rank. With a crew as big as the Redhair Pirates, its possible they have a 2nd Mate, who after captain and 1st mate, would be 3rd in comand. IF thats true and its Yasopp, I would think the Marines would be interested in any family relations.

I'm not sure so much that the Pirates of One Piece follow a rank structure so much.

Captain of Course and First mate most likely but then it just seems to merge into the crew and their speciality.
Granted each group may well be different - WB and his Captains but that was for a fleet - Where as Roger,Shanks and Luffy seem to be more tight crew based.

All except the Usopp and Garp were in the Anime - not a great consolidation to the Purists who will not accept it unless Oda himselfs signs off on it - and even then some would probably refuse to acknowledge it.

But it makes sense for both of them to not be; Daddy had the time issue and Garp talking to Usopp would reveal who he was to Luffy before the big apology.

Not really since from what I read it was at end of Water 7, after Luffy was woken up by Garp. It seemed that it was timed to be after Garp's first encounter where he had talked to Luffy and left, and after the party the Strawhats/Galley-La/Franky Family had and before Usopp did the apology as Garp returned for a 2nd time. This time with Aokiji to 'make sure he did his duty'(i.e. Garp was suppose to capture his grandson)

I meant Sogeking being revealed as Usopp. If Garp said "Yeah, your dad Yasopp", Luffy would know Sogeking was Usopp (unless he had a Luffy moment and said something like "YOU'RE USOPP'S BROTHER?!").

Please not a databook. Green covered the events up to the timeskip, so Deep Blue would only have Fishman Island as a new arc to cover. We ought to wait until we're a few arcs in the New World before we get a new databook.

Color Walk would be fine, though it hasn't got an animal name.

I hope for it to be a completely new type of book, though.

On the other hand, if it was a new edition of Blue, I wouldn't really mind it. What I really liked about Blue was the database of every single character in the series at that point. The series has about three times as many characters by now, so a new gallery of characters would be really cool.

Who wants to see things happen in the main story of the manga, better to have a unscanlatable book filled with tidbits like "Kaidoh died in the middle of the timeskip!" "Kizaru is now looking for a bride!" "Buggy found captains morgan treasure!" "Magellan died in the attack and the current warden is… Mr 2 in disguise!", without any narrative, buildup, character reaction or progress of the plot!
