I much prefer Black Ops to MW3. The games don't change much, but I absolutely adore the Zombies story. Plus I miss dolphin-diving. I hope the title isn't Black Ops 2, but instead Iron Wolf - a name trademarked a while back. Also, the attitude of 'I don't like Call of Duty: X' stems from the FPS-boys jumping from one game to the other. There wasn't anything wrong about it. It's hard to screw up an FPS these days.

Lol the type of Shooter CoD is it's impossible not to die, I rather have campers than a game where dieing could be impossible to avoid. Also it makes my LMG with a thermal scope useless baecause even though I dropped 4 guys running at me my back is completely exposed. Your online team mates would just as likely wait for you to die and take out the shooters than jump in and help. At least with the old maps you'd get alot of kills protect your spot or killing the guy holding the spot you want.
MW# is a game entirely made for quick scopers. If it wasn't for my abilty to read people's minds over a game I wouldn't be able to get a decent kill streak.

If you want to shoot zombies why not just play a game where the objective is to shoot zombies instead of playing a tacked on mode to a military FPS?
And I've never played Black Ops so I can't say anything for sure but from what I've heard it's the least liked CoD game out of all of them. And I'm sure a lot of that comes from the PS3 side since whoever the hell makes Black Ops (out of like the three companies that make CoD titles) is too lazy to properly port their games from their beloved Xbox 360.

I got no clue then. My brother and a lot of posts by people (I'm not exaclty sure where but that's what my memory is telling me) say it's their least favorite. I also think it's the worst PS3 port out of all of them.

So is the sequel going to involve the "other" series of suppressed memories to uncover the real secret and true that's locked away in Alex Mason's subconscious? Or will it be a more "contemporary" series of Black Ops of the modern day taking place directly after the events of the first? Because I'm thinking Black Ops should stick to the Cold War era.
Though really, I don't think I'll end up playing the game. Most of the CoD games blur in my memory and I only remember playing Black Ops because of the bizarre Manchurian Candidate framing. I have not played Modern Warfare 3, nor am I all that compelled to outside of seeing what strange politics and international intrigue crops up.

This series needs to die. Console shooters, Activision, and EA are what ruined Battlefield. What I want is BF 2143 to be like its predecessor, a much better series than this game, with the exception of BF3 (better but not a great game)

I don't think Battlefied is ruined yet, we'll have to see what happens with it. I don't really have any problem with the CoD series by itself, but I will say that I believe it is the reason there are so many similar shooters these days. CoD comes out with its gameplay and formula and makes a lot of money and keeps repeating it and making more money and other shooter game developers jump on so we see so many similar games. It feels similar to what happened a decade ago with the WWII shooters so I do have confidence that it will eventually end.

It's the best thing to happen to this franchise since it's inception.
Meh it's basically a poor man's version of Left 4 Dead with virtually no appeal.
It feels similar to what happened a decade ago with the WWII shooters so I do have confidence that it will eventually end.
I think it will only end once these developer's realize that the success that EA & Activision have achieved with COD & MOH&BF aren't easily replicated.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

I enjoyed the single player because I knew what it was going to be, pretty much an interactive movie. You're right though that I mainly bought it for the multiplayer, which is really good.
The problem people have with Rage is that it was marketed as incredibly innovative and released by pretty much the inventors of the genre and it turned out to be just another mediocre shooter. The technology of it, on the PC at least was a really large problem as well. It was pretty much released broken, it was several dozen gigabytes in file size (the reason being that instead of having a collection of textures that were streamed onto different objects, there was one large texture and no object in game shared the same texture), and there was little to no graphics options, the game picked the setting based on getting a 60 FPS framerate.

Isn't Rage released under Bethesda's name too? So it's not a surprise that it's horribly broken.
PS3 version works fine tho. Buggy riding is a bit dodgy but the rest I've found to be pretty fun.

No, it's not. All they have in common are zombies, and that's about it. L4D is finite, you go from point A to B while trying to survive. CoD:Zombies is infinite and is straight up survival, and involves actual strategy and luck (and boy do you need it). L4D was fun… but after a while playing the campaign over and over got boring because not much changes - except for a few spawn point of zombies. In CoD:Zombies, the spawn points are the same but the difficulty increases as you go along.
tl;dr they aren't the same.

Actually there is a mode of Zombie I saw my cousin play that was like L4D in the sense of hoards of zombies and the intensity. The gameplay is overhead style.

And so deatails were leaked about the game as follows. Black Ops 2 is set in the near-future during a 21st century Cold War “where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare”. The official trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 should go live fairly soon.

That's not going to happen. The zombie mode was only a side thing, the CoD games are modern military shooters. If I were you I'd go for L4D2 or something like that if you want zombie shooting.

Plus Zombie maps work best when you get one at a time with DLC because just having eight maps at the start would just be too much with little difference. So does this pick up right after one? Eh, need to play the first again anyway.
