Don't care what people say about it. I really enjoyed the first one. But on the PS3? That feels more natural for this type of game than the Wii Motion Controls. I'll pick up 2 for that instead.

It might be nice if the game is actually finished this time.

The first one was…alright. I'll admit I too fell into the trap of "Oooh its gonna be darker and edgier based on the art designs" then of course being dissapointed it was really just an excuse to do a game based on Mickey's history (its Disney of course =P). Not that the first didn't have its charms though as well as some cool platforming sections. The art brush had potential but keeping it shackled to enemies and certain sections are what fumbled it. They might as well have a sign that said "Spray paint or thinner here" rather then just make the whole world paintable. At the least it had a good story and cutscenes.

Did the first game ever get that PS3 port? But yeah, I remember everyone freaking at the game for the awesome concept art we saw at first.

Honestly surprised they're making this. Did the first one actually sell?
-
It sold pretty well actually. I worked at Toys R Us upon release and it sold as well as Donkey Kong Country Returns did. At least in our store.

As much as I enjoyed the game, I think the Engine actually played a large part of why the final product wasn't as polished as it could've been. Gamebryo is kind of an outdated engine with only so much in terms of rendering capabilities, If they switch out (and maybe do something about the camera), then I think we can expect an enjoyable and better sequel.

Debut trailer.
Also will mention that the game is a musical

Yeah…I was not entirely happy with the first one...never actually finished it because it got too boring and the nostalgia factor ran out almost immediatly.
This is coming from a guy who is a complete Disney-phile and worked in Disney for four months...
Playing as Oswald would be a nice addition, so maybe I'll keep posted about this one...
