I finally got Sid Meier's Pirates! (Well, my brother did…)
The game is excellent. It lives up to my expectations and more.
It is surprisingly accurate as fas as historical details, the graphics and animation are superb, the gameplay is varied and easy enough to catch onto. It's got everything - attacking ships, wooing Governers' daughters, digging for buried treasure, and swordfights.
Anyway, even though I've already become a pretty good Captain in my own right, does anyone have any tips or hints? Know any secrets I should look into?

t heard of it, sorry, but while weâ€re on the topic, I do have “The Curse of Monkey Islandâ€? (Lucas Arts)!!! :D Pirate games rock. -
I have been fighting the urge to get this. I have enough games that I am nowhere near finishing as it is. And I'm playing World of Warcraft on top of those (or more accurately, instead of those). Too busy to fit another game in, no matter how good.
That said, I almost bought it this weekend. :lol:
The game has gotten excellent reviews all around and is at the top of my list of games I want to play but don't have time for.
