Other than the bullshit with the girl surviving, this wasn't a bad chapter. The game is actually interesting and clever.

Good chapter, even though, like Black Leg mentioned, Mavis bullshitted her way to psychological advantage.

Don´t let Mashima fool you guys, that Zeira-girl is totally a ghost or Mavis´s imagination to counter loneliness.
The fact that she never interacts with anyone other than Mavis is proof of that. (And that her being alive would make her death scene in the former chapter totally pointless.) -

Dreyar asked first "You're in your teens", in that exactly moment he lost to Mavis, because she is in her teens as well, so it's common thing, its related like "you have a heart, eyes, etc" its pointless so he lost.
Then Mavis said "You're in your twenties", just to lure him to say he is in his teens as well. Mavis has won.
Not that tough if you actually take a moment to think.

But he said that he´s a teen AFTER Mavis made a wrong guess, so she should´ve lost.
This chapter was either badly translated, or Mashima fucked up, which is both likely imo. -

I'm still lost, how does them both being in their teens and that being a common factor count to it being a pointless question. They're both not biologists so does that also not count as a common thing?

You can't say "you have a heart" because both have hearts.
Thus when he said "you are in your teens". Since both are in their teen, he lost.
It's basically like the "never have I ever game". You have to say something that you don't do/have/are/ect, meanwhile something that they are. He has to guess things about her. If he said "you are a biologist" he would have lost cause she isn't one. Also he would have lost due to not being one himself.
Speaking in "never have I ever" rules. If Mavis says "you have had sex". She can say that because she has never had sex. If she has had sex, she can't say that, because they would both have that in common.

I beg to differ, I though this chapter was pretty smart but I guess Mashima could have explained better so people could understand
or maybe MS could translate it better.
And no, Fairy Tail Zero is alright so far, Fairy Tail is what you turn off your mind for. -

The newest episode aired yesterday, and I was surprised that they kept in Gray's "death scene" relatively intact, headshot and all. Granted it was done in silhouette, but still.

They took out the blood which was expected, I only liked the Ultear parts, because there was a lot of filler in the episode.
I still remember when even in Looney Toons you saw characters getting headshotted.

I thought that was just because the Dragon Slayers were weak. Mashima could have done some shit afterwards where Natsu and/or Gajeel are frustrated because if they couldn't even touch those dragons then they couldn't stand up to Acnologia or aren't strong enough to meet their dragons.

Gajeel continues to be the only likeable character in Fairy Tail. I quite liked this chapter, the fights still looks as boring as every other Fairy Tail fight I mean it hardly seems like they're underwater at all, but Gajeel becoming a steel dragon slayer is pretty neat. It makes way more sense than Fire-Lighting DS or Iron-Shadow DS. Levy straight up forgetting about her magic was also quite funny.

I don't think Mashima knows how water and drowning works. Most of the people in that water should he dead by now but besides that, thanks to Gajeel and a genuine heartfelt moment, pretty solid chapter.

And my favorite member of the nine demon gates has been defeated. I really liked this fight, it didn't have a bs powerup. Next chapter we'll probably see the Natsu vs. Tempesta fight.

You don't need to intimately know someone to care about them for a minute. If she was built up the moment would have been more intense but the way that it was handled was good enough to serve its intended purpose.

Yes, we have seen her. I guess her speaking lines can be counted on two hands, but we have seen her and learned her name a long time ago. And Phantom Lord used to be a legal guild before they attacked Fairy Tail, so the council had reason enough to cooperate, and Gajeel was probably put on trial because of some crime he chose to commit himself, just like when Erza was arrested for attacking Eisenwald.
