I think I just simply not fond of films consisting of explosions and fighting only. Although my main problem might be that there were too much time spent on human characters rather than the robots (first movie).
Another thing, that while I think Tranformers Energon and Cybertron were really bad, they have some kind of "nostalgia" feeling. Something that the live-action movie doesn't have. I liked it at first, rewatched it a few times, even got it for Christmas, but now, I wouldn't watch it. Also, they (Energon/Cybertron) were the shows that introduced me Transformers as a whole, made me search on the internet for more related stuff, made me want to learn English even more and eventually (with Animated) made me want to try out writing and drawing.
Basically, Transformers is the "biggest thing" in my life, but unfortunately, the live-action film will never get a place in my heart like Energon, Cybertron, Animated or the old movie.
This is just my opinion.
