A lot of us hail form countries that didn't or don't have certain famous/good western cartoons. Or maybe every country has its own cartoons and kids there watched that instead of the western ones.

And really, it's all about taste: I always liked Tom and Jerry but never was into The Flinstones even though both aired in my country (and is still airing) and I watched quite a few episodes of both series.
